The characters in this game don't look like they're going to be that hard to Cosplay. Stella looks like one of the easiest Cosplays I've seen and Noctic's gang looks pretty average also. I kinda like it though because it makes the game that much more real. An added bonus is that when you go out in public or to a restaurant to eat, people probably won't look at you funny XD

So what are your thoughts on this? Yes I'm talking to you secretive cosplaying males who dresses up as Aerith every convention you go to...

Or at least the art direction is ^ I'm not so sure if the world of the game is realistic or not, just the appearance if you ask me. We'll see when it's finally out.

What your saying could be true.............

Cosplays for the past FF's have been fails! :fail: fo real

I'd say Noctis wont be hard either............he looks japanese..........I think I've seen many japanese people (more specifically teenagers) who look almost exactly like him.

There is certainly a more realistic approach when it comes to the character designs, so cosplay costumes will certainly be more practical. Looking at Noctis and his gang in terms of design, they do come across as being some kind of elegant Yakuza members while Stella's white dress during her conversation with Noctis (who is wearing a very ordinary suit in that cutscene trailer) is about as non-fantastical as I can think of in the FF franchise so far.

They could be very easy to cosplay, especially since I think that the costumes are actually being sold in Japanese clothes stores as normal / fashionable clothes. I'm not a very clothes-wary person, so I'm not entirely sure if I am right there, but I do remember seeing a thread here about it.

I'm not very keen on the designs though. For me it is a little bit too real, and too Earthly. I'd rather see something odd and quirky, or something which isn't too much like modern clothes on our own planet. I can see what they are going for with this game, but to me I prefer character designs which do not look like people you could see walking down the street.

I've been told that I may be cosplaying myself in a month or so... Would I like to go as a Versus character? While it would be easy to blend in with the real world as soon as I leave whatever it is I've been told I may be going to, I would much rather go as a character I like the design for. Going as a Versus character would be a little bit too normal for me, and if I was going to cosplay then I'd rather do something a little bit different. That said, I don't see this thing happening myself. I have no idea how to get / how to make costumes or anything, so I'll probably not go, although it has ended up on 'The List' that my friends have made with me now. :ness:

I remember reading somewhere that the many of the clothes worn by characters in Versus are actually based on a real Japanese clothing brand who struck a deal with SE.
I don't have a clue where I saw that though, so I can't link for confirmation, sorry.

They have a deal with ROEN. I don't know whether Square-Enix designed it then it was tailored by ROEN or whether ROEN tailored it then it was used by Square-Enix [most likely the former].
