When parents give us really wierd names.....

My names not so much uncommon as common...it's Crystal. God..there are too many! That's why I wish I'd have an awesome name like Zeria....nobody else would have that name! and believe me guys, Julius' name is kinda strange...but I like it! ^_^

My name it's Slavic so ... lot of the english phonemes don't apply, so I think most of you will have trouble pronouncing it, but hell here it is

It's a rare name here, which is a good thing, cause I know when someone says my name most of the time they're talking to me.
 
Hmm....I have a pretty safe name. Stephanie. And my last name is pretty generic, so...there's no worry about embarrassing pronunciations. ^.^

I don't get why people give their kids bizzare names. I mean...it usually causes embarrassment later on. XD

My grandpa wanted to call me Star...which is like a pr0nst4r name. :monster:
 
Bleh. I fucking hate having such a common name. There are five million "Sarah"s at school. It drives me crazy. I'd take a porn star name over a damn common name that everyone has!

At least my middle name is unique. For a while I thought I was named after my grandmother's alcoholic 80 year old neighbor. It was only later that it came out that I wasn't x_x And I was relieved, believe you me.
 
I'm the opposite. My parents gave me a normal name. My name and last name is very common.

I wish my parents gave me an exotic name. I don't have a middle name either. =/
 
You know, you're right. I have always prefered my middle name over my first name. I mean...I quite like my first name; as I was named after my father.
But..."Olivia" is quoite cute. ^.^

They save the awesome names for the middle because they're not quite sure if it's stupid or not. XD
 
My parents are weird. They combined their names (mom's first three letters of her name, and dad's last three letters of his name.) and voila, ME. =/ Now that they're not together...I keep wondering if it offends my stepmom whenever she calls me by my first name, lol.
 
Well... My first name is pretty common, just... somewhat uncommonly spelled.

Anyway, I was named after my great grandfather. However, the weird name would be my middle name. For whatever creative reason, my parents decided to name it after a county in England or so I'm told.
 
My name is nothing special, but I have a friend who is named Theodore, when he should have been named something III, a family name. But his mom just randomly decided to name him Theodore.

He goes by his middle name though, because he finds Theodore to be very gay. xD
 
I really love my name. Stephanie Olivia (last name secret). I was named after my dad (Stephen), and Olivia Newton John. ^.^

My boyfriend's name is Alfredo, and his sister's name is Rosalba. I think they're both goofy names. lol.

WOW I didn't realize I already replied. But I didn't mention before that Alfredo and Rosalba are stupid names. lol.
 
I like my name (Damon) :) Mainly because it isn't that common, but people have still heard it before.
It goes well with my last name, which I won't say XD

Sometimes I wish I had a middle name though :shame:
 
I used to really hate my name but I've sort of come to terms with it (sort of). My name is Egyptian and it comes from the name of an Egyptian dessert (don't ask). You won't believe how many people ask me where my name comes from on a daily basis. I get so tired of answering that question.

I once spoke to a man from Egypt on the phone and he actually thought I was Egyptian because of the name. :monster:
