What would you do?

Well I watched the new show 'V' last night and it got me thinking. What would you do if aliens just appeared and said that they came in peace, and was also going to give you technology and cures for many of our diseases. How would you react? Would be rejoiced? Or would you be skeptical and wonder where is the catch?

I for one would have very mixed feelings. I think it would be cool to see the advanced technology and to see what diseases they could cure. But I think that I would still wonder if these visitors could really be trusted just because they came with 'gifts'.

Any thoughts? And please no one line posts.

I would definitly be skeptical. If things are that good, they ARE usually to good to be true. Plus, why would they just GIVE us stuff without expecting anything in return? There is definitly something wrong there. I would not trust them ONE bit.

Im the ultimate skeptic as said above if it seems to good to be true it generally is, that being said id be the same cold distant anti social jackass to them as i am to everyone else, long live solitude

I'd be skeptical, for the aformented reasons, that and because I played too much Mortal Kombat and the last thing I need on my mind is aliens that are probably from Reptile's home world invading Earth....oh shizz man.

i think i would be happy but ready if they were to try and kill us all! I feel that if something like that were to happen i would be ready!

first of all they would never contact us humans cause we are dispicable creatures who are not worth being saved...

but to answer your hypothetical question:

I would be happy there are other beings in the universe and even if they trick us I would accept it and be full of joy, we would be free at last
