What kind of games do you play?

The only games I actually play are RPGs, Action RPGs, Japanese RPGs, and RTSs...

But of the RTSs, I only play Warcraft III and D&D Dragonshard...

Fighting games are my number one genre, I tend to play them more than any other.

Next on the list would be J RPG's, still got quite a few lying around waiting to be finished.

Third would probably go to 2D platforming: Sonic, Turrican and Castlevania still own as far as I'm concerned.

Fourth would then go to the hack n' slash antics of Dynasty Warriors, Sengoku Basara and the likes.

I'd say that those are the only genres I actually play enough of to group them together. I'll still play the odd FPS or RTS game but it's mostly those mentioned above.

Puzzles, RPGs (traditional and action ones), FPS, Sports (Soccer most of it, but i also like boxing games), arcade racing games (however i love 'Dirt' *w*) and Action/Adventure ones.

The only one that i don't like at all are RTS and Fighters.

Mostly rpg's and strategy games. When it comes to roleplaying games, my taste nowadays tends to lean more towards European and american roleplaying games. I do still enjoy the odd JRPG, but mostly because of nostalgia. I find most of them to be absolute rubbish.

As far as strategy games go, I can play and enjoy everything from Warcraft to The Sims over the Civilization series. It doesn't matter if it is turn-based or real time or what the purpose of the game is, as long as it is good.

On occasion I will play something of a different genre, but those are the 2 which I usually find myself indulging in.

I play all kinds of games to be honest. I always get the Pro Evolution Soccer games and Madden NFL games every year. I play FPS games (but mainly the Call of Duty series these days). I adore western RPGs like Morrowind, Oblivion and to a lesser extent Fallout 3. Obviously I also like eastern RPGs like the Final Fantasy games, but I also like Tales of Symphonia, SMT: Lucifer's Call/Nocturne, and all the Pokémon games.

As I get older though, I struggle to keep up with all these games though, and I never really have more than two or three games on the go at a time.

I mostly play RPGs, but I also love action/adventure games (like Zelda) and RTS (like Warcraft and Age of Empires). Sports, racing and shooters I really don't like.

rpg's by far, final fantasy and star ocean are the best ones

i dn what genre it's in but nothing beats a classic pokemon game :) gold and silver are the best (am playing heartgold at moment)

like playing the fifas and the football managers

racing games like crash team racing rock, i hate the others

I don't tend to stick to any specific genre deliberately.

I just tend to buy whatever game interests me.

I guess when I look at my games most of them are platformers or action adventures. I have some RPGs, but most of them are the Final Fantasy games so I can't really claim that I play a lot of RPGs.

I have a fair amount of FPSs as well, a few beat'em ups too (though entirely Tekken).

So most of my games are action-adventure or platformer games. These range from games like Crash Bandicoot, Croc, MediEvil (and other great games from PS1 era - I'm singling these out as I didn't tend to play many decent platformers of this kind after the PS1 era ended - though I guess MediEvil is different from the other examples entirely), to puzzle based (Ico and Shadow of the Colossus - though the latter is more puzzle and action) and adventure/platformers such as the Uncharted series.
