would he choose to be a slob like one of us or would he elevate himself to a higher plain thus making him not one of us because he's quite snobby about living amongst his own creations...as one of them.

discuss.

i should also add that i dont mean any specific god. dont be put off posting if youre a member of the jedi church.

Me me me me me Ima Jedi?

My light Saber is Blue I have black cloak and ,and anm X-wing with an astromech droid called BitchR2D2.

There are some men who elevate themselves above other i the name of god, but for him to actually be here with us, and may even not know it him/herself ? What if there were more than one like the older religions?

Take Egypt: Osiris, Isis, Hathor, Horus, Thoth:-)lew:apple thoth) Sobek, Sokar,Anubis.
just to name a few what if they were all amongst us? and there only powers were creation? that would put them in a position not necessarily to help but to create more what what was is lost.

Hyperbole and nonsense but that seems to be the flavor of FFF ATM.
Cheers Jim.

its a valid debate though if you provide evidence :-)ohoho: irony) :mokken:

man's only true power is creation and even then he cant do it by himself and cant tell you how it started.

when i said "or would he elevate himself to a higher plain" i didnt mean as some people do - more commonly known as a superiority complex. i meant would he dislike being one of "us" so much that he'd want to be whatever it is we percieve(d) he was before he became one of us?

Ambiguous is the nature of fundamental religious piety Original Jim.

You are assuming a God comes from a a place beyond our world and is not just a superior being that is born in our realm and ascends to a higher level as a part of there natural evolution?

They come and visit our world decide were are to decadent and leave? how very cliched
Original Jim:lew:

im making no assumptions about where he/they come from or where he/they are going.

if he was a superior being born in our realm he wouldnt be one of us. he/she/it/they are choosing to live as a human. for instance

lets assume these are "superior beings". in order to become one of us they'd have to give up everything (whatever you may perceive that to be).

they would in essence have the functionality of

sweet-potatoes-1.jpg

but theyre very much used to superior functionality. but in their new form they dont have to put up with billions of idiots praying to them for daft things. they can just be one of us. assuming they still had the power to do so, do you think they would elevate themselves back to

Okay we will go with your concept to avoid confusion?
(BTW who is the fox in the pink Get up and is that Gunarm made out of Tinfoil?)

So they have no means to help us in human form but in the "God" they have to listen to our pointless murmurings? Well not being effected by the lust for power they may indeed stay as a Human?

But being a human they may indeed become effected by the lust for the power they once had? It stems from there motivation of wanting to be human vs being a "God"
and what they retain after there transience?

"If God lived on earth, people would break His windows."

A deity, in my opinion, wouldn't conform to any ideas that people had for them. They would be beyond human understanding, and if they sought to become human, they would cease to be a deity. A deity is an unexplainable force. Once you explain it, it becomes something else, or you're not actually explaining the deity, but just your idea of it. If you could explain the idea of God, I doubt there would be many active religions, because there are just too many questions surrounding the idea of a deity, and I doubt people would like or be able to accept all of the answers.

this thread was just meant to parody another pointless thread about faith (in a game) at a point in my life where i was bored out my tits.

now youve confused me, flonne :sad3:

If God was Human, I think he'd answer the question in the thread you are mocking, and he would say "How does praying to Gospel for angels not mean religion?". :griin:

Also I think it wouldn't be that much different, since God created us in his image.

*fixed
