He decides to get a bunch of baby chicks for laying hens, and is already deciding on getting a pair of pigs for bacon, a cow, a goat, and he'll help build a big pond for my (new again) Turtle when we bring him over.

Holy shit cakes that sounds like a lot of work. Are you getting another red-eared turtle or is it going to be a different breed, Channy?

My little guy died. He had little turtle pneumonia :okay: But the store replaced him for free with the last turtle they had. He's twice the size, maybe like.. 4/5 in already, and acclimatized so he'll be okay.

Aww poor thing, didn't even know little turtles could get pneumonia. Oh that's good that the store replaced him and it was for free so that's even better. Almost sounds like you guys are going to be operating a miniature farm though.

Yeah we got lucky. I feel almost bitter and not as much love towards my second turtle considering we could just '...up and replace him' =/ The novelty of the first turtle now has worn off and it feels weird. But at the same time I want to love him so much. :gasp:

But yeah, Pop's gotten bored the last couple years since he had to retire due to minor cancer, so now he's looking for small projects around the house. He's pretty much flattened/clear cut the area to make room for all this live stock.

Yeah I'd probably feel the same way about my fish, Mooshie. When he passed away from ... god knows what ... I guess it was starvation, I swore I wasn't going to get another fighter fish. He was so cute. I was pretty diligent about cleaning his tank, changing the water, and feeding him. Then again, I got him at the mall from one of those vendors so who knows ... he could've been sick with something and no one ever would have known. Anyway, I know -- you'll give that turtle tons of love. You seem like a total animal lover, like myself. ^_^ I'm sure your new tutle will be super happy and well cared for, Channy.

I mean that's good though, he's keeping himself preoccupied with something. I admire people who do DIY things like that. One of my best friends' mothers sew curtains, pillowcases, and bed skirts and such. Basically she's a homemaker, she constantly busies herself with that when she's not working odd jobs.

Aww shucks, thanks. I'm trying. He's a lot more energetic than Squirtle. He comes to the front and asks for food, he's already taking from our hands. When he was asking/wading around for food, he let me poke/pet him a bit, so I think it'll go over a little more smoothly this time.

Little turtle had a big ol' spot on his shell too, white spot. Was probably shell rot right from the get go, but I thought it was just a scuff and added character. So he could have had issues right from the beginning. :okay:

Hah, yeah Pop's done everything to the house DIY. He loves projects and buying old things and making new projects from it. He went on a big shelf binge last year when he got patterns for his table saw, and when he asked if I'd like shelves, and said sure.. I came home one day to find 4 randomly placed new shelves. >.>

Nah, he believes that the meat tastes better when you get to know and love it first, and have seen it in the prime of its innocence.

Maybe thats the secret of the chicken nugget? It's not any one part of the chicken, but the whole of the chick? o:

It is not a secret, it is common knowledge that they use the whole chicken
