Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback

This song, in my opinion, is probably one, if not the best song released to date. The lyrics are absolutely unreal and the music is sound. Could be the best song I hear all year.

Watching the Detectives - Elvis Costello

This is probably the only song of his that I like. It's very good in places, but I don't like the whole song.
 
Crazy in Love - Beyoncé ft Jay-Z

It's a totally addicting song, and it's Beyoncé at her best in my opinion. I love how Beyoncé and Jay-Z sound so good together, and it's just an all-round catchy, happy song ^^ One of my all-time favourites.
 
Decode - Paramore

I just found out that this was going to be a song in the upcoming Twilight movie, so I listened to it, and now I love it ^^ The lyrics seem to fit with the storyline, as well as the characters really well. I can't stop singing it!
 
Another Way To Die - Jack White & Alicia Keyes
Quantum of Solace's soundtrack. At first I really didn't like it at all. But it's definitely grown on me.

this song is definitely the best off death magnetic

I love this song, it just makes me smile and has such sweet lyrics aswell.

It's just generally a really catchy song. I love the chorus - both the lyrics and geetar.

8/10.

I love Serj's voice but it's the music that I find so addicting in this song. Great song, great album.

I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this song since the minute of it's released...literally the minute. Anyways, it is rather amazing and the lyrics are fantastic! :gasp:

Love and Theft - Bob Dylan
8/10

Bob Dylan has had a great ability to make return to form albums after long fallow periods. Few other artists have managed a great album in each of four decades. This may not reach the peaks of his 60s records (or of his best album, Blood on the Tracks), but it's a fine addition to his discography. Lovely blues music, all washed down with that fantastic voice.

I just gave this album a spin after a year or so and while I know a lot of people won't agree, I love it.
 
Blood on the tracks is certainly epic.

It's not a particularly good song, but it's very upbeat and energetic. It shows their ability to play more popish songs compared to their bluesy songs. It has a superb chorus line.
 
Rage Against The Machine - Sleep Now In The Fire

Very energetic song, not the best RATM song but still a great song nevertheless

Steinski - What Does It All Mean? 1983-2006 Retrospective

I never knew about this guy recently but he was one of the pioneers in the use of sampling in music, and a big influence on the likes of DJ Shadow and The Avalanches. I didn't know what to expect from this collection of his works (usually in collaboration with others) but it's exceeded all expectations. Samples from all sorts of music, films, politicians and popular culture slot together effortlessly and the songs themselves are just plain great.
 
OneRepublic feat. Timbaland - Apologize

There are two different versions of this song. The USA with Timbaland and the UK one. Personally I never listened to OneRepublic but since I first heard this song I thought that they were pretty good. For both of the versions I give it 9/10 (though I prefer the UK song).
