What age did you stop believing in santa?

I have never believed in Santa. I always knew right off the bat, that Santa does not exists. He might have existed, long ago, but not anymore. Maybe that's why I wasn't such an innocent kid and became more self centered and lonesome. I just kept my mouth shut every time kids told me how great Santa was with them. Since my parents didn't had to keep up with the falsity, I got presents on random occasions, and sometimes just spent Christmass as I would do with any other month...

I was probably around eight or nine. I had always had my doubts that Santa Claus existed, but I found out for myself on Christmas Eve one night. I woke up in the middle of the night and was really thirsty, so I got out of bed and went to the kitchen to get a class of water. After drinking it, curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to visit my living room and see if the presents were already under the tree.

Well, they weren't. D: Instead I found my parents placing the gifts under the tree, and they didn't notice me for about a minute.

Awkwaaaaard. xDDD;;;

Santa's not a big thing in my country, so I never believed in him.
I've always known it was just a symbol.
I did however believe in the guy santa was based on.
Since I'm Dutch, we celibrate Sinterklaas every 5th of December.
Kind of the same thing except he comes on a horse and we all welcome him in when he gets here by boat in november. He lives in Spain the rest of the year.
That guy is the real tradition in this country. So I believed in him. But only till I was about 6 or so. My brother and sister were still believers so I just pretended to believe aswel.

So thats about it. Never really realised there were people on the world that believed he existed until much later.

Actually since my fam are all atheist and all that shit they dont even celbrate christmas so i learned about santa like at 5 because of movies. But never believed in it since he wasnt in my culture.

I stopped believing in Santa when I was 5.It was the first time I got presents from him and then I heard my sister saying that they bought it.So I asked her and she told me that Santa didn't exist.Such a tragic experience.
I actually felt proud that I was the only one to know about while the other kids at my age still believed..I wanted to spoil it for them*evil laugh*

I never believed in Santa. Well, I didn't even know anything about him till after I moved to the US when I was 8. I still didn't know much about Christmas since my family never celebrated it, so I learned about it from the other kids. But since I never celebrated it before, I never believed in him.

22 years going strong and I still believe in the mo'fo. He's the man. He gets me what I want every year, and even when I don't know what I want for Christmas, he pulls a trick or 2 and gets me something pretty awesome.

And wouldn't ya know it, every year I leave him milk and cookies (sometimes Egg Nog to throw things off), and of course I wake up Christmas morning and it's GONE! Santa must work up quite an appetite Christmas Eve, so I'm glad I can help his fight against hunger.

I still believe in you Santa!

I stopped when I was about 7 or so. It was late night and I was in my house. My Mum and Grandma weren't seen so I started looking for them. I climbed upstairs and found them in a room packing up Christmas presents. Then I saw them put them outside the house. After that they rang the door bell and brought a huge bag back "It's from Santa!" yeah right.

Never believed in him or was lead to believe he existed. Grew up with barely enough money to get food and clothes but I always had the things i needed so I didn't really need christmas. Having food and clothes was always good enough for me even if it had to be spiderman wen i wanted batman lol

I think I stopped when I was around 10 when I stopped believing in ol santa claus. And wasnt anything like I caught my parents wrapping presents, I just figured out 'hey they are going shopping', and when they got back I had to stay in my room so I didnt see what they had bought.:P

Think I was about 10 when I stopped believing in Santa, but because I have a younger brother I had to pretend I knew he was real for a few years more.

Wait...he's not real!?!

I was about 8-9 when i stoped beliving and yet my mam kept putting out stuff for him (Mince pie, Glass of whiskey and a carrot) before we all went to bed.

And still 10 years on she still does it and she always wakes everyone in the house up at silly o'clock in the morning so we can open our presents -_- i hate parents at times.

I always had my doubts, I never fully believed in him. I was one of the kids that always questioned everything until it made sense to me and such. So yeah, but I think I q completely stopped even thinking about it at maybe 6 or even 5.
Heehee, if it didn't make sense to me then I didn't believe in it.
