How many of you have come across this misconception?
I first heard this way long aog...I was at a daycare and some kids who had played it were talking about the vampire iN FFVII you could get to join the party.

I guess it's because of how he looks and where you find him but still. A lot of people seem tot hink it.

Yeah it really is just his looks (white skin, big red cloak, long black hair *drool*)

I admit when I first saw Vincent I wondered about that, and it was clever of Square to but that idea in people's heads, it adds to the mystery of Vincent. Unless you find a certain secret area in the game you could go right on thinking that throughout.

I can't remember what I thought, I just thought ooh he's in a coffin, like a vampire I don't think i thought he ever was, just that he was LIKE one, I mean he'd be abit buggered wandering around in the day time :wacky:

I remember he did remind me a bit of a vampire, but I had researched FF7 before I played it and knew he really wasn't. Genesis, on the other hand... After I heard his voice in DOC, I screamed vampire and ran down the hall lol (not really...)

I admit, when I first played it, seeing him lying on that coffin, I thought, "Oooh cool, a vampire!" But as I played through the game, the idea became more absurd to me and never thought of it that way anymore. Vincent was just some mysterious guy to me. xD

I thought he was a vampire at first, then i realized that he was just a monster/human crossbreed.

although i really didnt care later in the game because i really didnt like vincent, no offense to the people who do like him.

I think practically everyone has heard the "HE R A VAMPIRE THING!"

It's propagated by idiots who think anything sleeping in a coffin is a vampire and who didn't pay attention to the story.

Heh I remember the first time I heard that, I didn't know much about it myself, so there was nothing much for me to say, but then again, he did fit the whole "Vampire" thing. He slept in a coffin, he doesn't age, tall, dark, mysterious, lol typical vampy to me, so I can see why people often think such a thing. o.o

Sadly, we will never get rid of their idiocy -_-
Back on topic, no, I actually didn't consider it as a vampire, but some sort of experiment that went awfully wrong. As I read about Vincent, the experiments performed on him, Chaos, and his seemingly presumed "immortality", I understood that him and his decision of sealing himself in a coffin was quite symbolical, since he can't die, but thought that what was best for the world was it he disappeared.

Now that reminds me of "Alucard" from Castlevania. He quite did the same each time he defeated his father, Dracula.
