Moonlight Sonata is probably my favorite piece of music ever. The arrangement of notes and chords is just absolutely beautiful. Beethoven is my favorite composer not only because of his music but also because I can very much relate to his highly dysfunctional personal life. He was a very abused child, his father drunkenly broke his hands when he was in grade school with a walking cane because young Ludwig missed a note during a Mozart piano piece during rehearsal time. Because of his father's abuse, he never married. Although a letter was found after his death in which he left all of his assets to his "Immortal Beloved," an anonymous mistress, whom never came forth for the claim. Furthermore, post-mortem, his skull was removed from his grave as during that time period it was common for aristocrats to seek out to obtain the skulls of deceased, considerably brilliant artists and men. Last to have Beethoven's skull was supposedly composer Sergei Rachmaninoff of which it was never found amongst his things after Rachmaninoff himself died, so Beethoven's skull is a lost mystery.
