The username change system is now automated.

To change your username, go to User CP->Edit Email, Password & Username (you must re-enter your password to change your username). Members will be allowed to change their usernames once every 30 days. Once you change your username, the option will disappear until the 30 days is up.

Staff, Veteran Members, and Senior Members may change their name as often as they wish.

Oh bugger, I wish I'd read this first before trying it out, oh well looks like I'm Tink for a month :wacky:

Edit* Didn't read it all as usual. Win :wacky:

What a glorious addition :monster:

Erm... Mine just stays as "edit email and password"

Is something wrong?

EDIT: its ok, its working now, thanks :)

I did not close the original change request thread, I suppose you can do a request. Or just post here and I'll change it for you (only applies to this case).

I had neglected to edit permissions for Member and Full Member usergroups. It should work now.

It serves me right for jumping in feet first as usual, I'l ride it out as Tink for a while, I quite like the name actually

Thanks ^^

Pretty cool addition and nice add for members who've been around here for a while. Kudos Golbez.

Have fun to all those who change their names every day.

Lol, busta... (Love this guy)

Anyways, I'm sure most know my feelings on it (Dear god... :p), but I hope all goes wells and my fears and annoying posts are proved completely wrong.

Like Busta, I do sincerely hope all those that like to keep fresh enjoy it. :)

And of course, Golbez gets thanks for the time invested in making it possible.

Just for the record, they won't be able to change their names everyday. Once they change their name, they have to wait a period of 30 days before changing it again.

Excellent news, know the admins will have about double their time to work on other stuff. XD

Nice move LG.

Sweet Nelly Furtado, this is awesome :neomon: Now I can change my name right away to go along with wutever theme I pick for my avy/sig.

Fun fun fun. Let the confusing begin :P

Won't confuse anyone smart enough to click on someone's profile and see who they used to be. If they can't figure out how to do that, I say they deserve to be confused :elmo:

great, I'll be able to change my name to Rei (from Breath of Fire 3) once Cerri abandons Ms. Ayanami. THAT would be confusing. this is a nice addition to the sites features :monster:

I love the fact that this is back. It was possible for a very brief time quite a while ago. It just emphasises that the person in question really was incompetant in these matters. He claimed it was too difficult to restore. :wacky:

I love the new avatar restrictions, too. Many thanks once again, Golbez.

I've heard of one other update to come and I'm really looking forward to that one, so thanks in advance.

Can't possibly be any more confusing then when we had all those Aeriths running around :wacky:

Now I'm really going to have to step up my shooping skillz, I have a feeling I'll get urges to change my name and avy/sig sets more often.

Yeah, that's really cool move, no more change username thread.

lolwut?

I don't know about smart enough. If you have no idea the profile name feature exists, you'd only find out by happenstance. Most people have never changed their names, so most profiles won't indicate the history feature exists.

^_^ Too difficult? It's not hard at all. Which one was this?

This wasn't me :)

Hahah, I probably shouldn't have mentioned anything. I distinctly remember Darkblade telling me how he couldn't keep it running. We lost a fair few features on the site after he attempted to merge two forums together ... and failed. :wacky:

This wasn't me :)
Oh, then thanks, Decado. :neomon:

All the same, though, things haven't been getting done like this for a long time and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I emphasise how much we appreciate it.
/kiss arse

It was me, dipshit. >=[

Members are reminded not to use anything derogatory as new names. This will be considered a punishable act and your username will be reverted to a suitable past name.

Oh, don't be such a buzzkiller Saix :P I'm sure that it's common sense to our members that such names would be punishable :monster: But I suppose it's true, you do get a few loons out there who don't follow ethics.

Bleh, now that you guys can switch names whenever ye please, it's gonna be hard to tell who's who in the shoutbox XD I'm too lazy to check names, so I'll prolly go on thinking people are people I don't know :wacky: Case in point: Romeo = Princess Aighurhmnw :wacky:
