So there are the Disney movies that are highly praised. (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King) Which ones do you think deserve more love?
Pochahontas: Yeah it butchered history. But no one would give a fuck about Pochahontas if they hadn't seen this movie. And I loved the romance in it especially since it doesn't end how pretty much every Disney romance ends
The sequel sucked though.
Hunchback of Notre Dame: One of the Darkest Disney movies. I remember not liking it when I first watched it, but I was afraid of Quasi Moto D: Definently underrated and has one of the best villian songs ever (Hellfire)
The Black Cauldron: A box office flop and hard to find. But I thought it was a good movie. And also very dark.

There are bits of it that used to really scare me and that fear kind of made it a more exciting and compelling story line.

I'm a huge fan of the Treasure Island story and watching/reading different interpretations of it, and this is actually one of my favorite versions. I thought it was brilliant to see Long John Silver act as more of a father figure to Jim than in the other versions I've seen, it made it more emotional when
It had lots of cool magic dueling between Merlin and Madam Mim, and some funny songs in it as well, like the Higitus Figitus song
:
Though it was made in 1963, it still has value today I think--unlike a lot of the newer kids shows/movies out there now, it's got well-written witty dialogue and can be appreciated by adults without having to make any sexual innuendos or colloquial references (or, none that I can remember anyway

However, if you were to mention Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, I'd raise my eyebrow XD
