Twilight Saga Discussion

Edward isn't going to be overused in this one, or so the new director (the one who did The Golden Compass) says. There's going to be half of Twilight Jacob and then the transformed Jacob. I'm quite looking forward to his friendship with Bella because they had a good time in the book. But then I noticed on one of the featurettes on IMDB that Edward and Jacob appeared to be getting ready to fight. It doesn't happen in the book, but it's intriguing nonetheless.

'Based onthe book' usually means completely changed bar the character names 8F

Gutted there's not much Edward though, still I'm going to go watch it anyway, should be good, looking forward to seeing the Vittori (stumped if i can rememeber what they are called) Is Dakota Fanning in it? There's a poster in Ashon and I can't make up my mind whether it's her or not

I really liked the latter half of the book as well, I hope its not rushed and mostly the Jacob shizz ¬¬

They're called 'The Volturi' Kelly xD and yes, Dakota Fanning is in it. She plays Jane. I saw some pictures of her just the other day and they looked seriously bad ass. She looks so insanely evil. It's like it's not even her. o_o

Awesome, Jane in the book was well mean, i can't wait to see her in action 8F I think she's great for the part as well, especially as how she was described physically in the book, I think she's a brilliant little actress as well Fingers crossed we get to see a lot of them :ryan:

And lol, I was close, I knew it began with a V and ended in an I

Dakota Fanning is so scary as Jane from what I've seen in the trailer. Every time the line, "This may hurt a little" comes on, it sends shivers down my spine. All the Volturi look quite deadly from the clip of them I saw on IMDB earlier today. No wonder they're to be feared.

Can you fire a link? Ive seen the trailer on TV but nothing with the Volturi in it :gonk:

With pleasure.

I've also seen several clips from the film itself, but I wouldn't want to spoil you there. However, I WILL say that I've seen the clip where
Bella confronts the Quileutes about Jacob's change in which she punches Paul, he phases and Jacob phases to protect Bella. I really enjoyed her punching him! xD

Oooooh, nice one Faith, I'm well excited about seeing it now, i love their eyes, they look so fucking cool xD Seems to be a fair bit more action in this one than the first, which is good, just as long as the trailer didn't show the only action parts actually IN the film, that'd suck

Loved the addition of 'this may hurt a little' right at the end of the trailer there. Haha I'm such a fan girl xD

I was really kinda disapointed by this book... I mean, Edward is all, "I don't love you anymore, bye." And Bella was in a zombie coma longer than the actual reltionship. What kind of example is Stephenie Meyer trying to set for teens my age?! Hopefully the movie will be better, cuz that was the first case for the first movie.

I'll admit that I was disappointed that Bella was a zombie for so long and I'm so glad Jacob came back into the story eventually. I liked him from the first moment I flicked the page to see his name. There IS going to be more action than that ridiculously slow ballet fight between Edward and James. I've seen behind the scenes and ... right, I'm shutting up now. You're all getting me too hyped up! xD

OMNOMNOM I just watched those clips on IMDB and I swear that movie looks SO amazing. Jacob is particularly hawt. :wacky: Yes, sue me! I'm all for Team Jacob! xD Edward is cool and all, but I've just never been particularly fond of him tbh. Jacob is just amazing and has always been my favourite character. <3 This movie looks rockin! I can't WAIT to go see it. Hubby and I are gonna buy our tickets early so it's not sold out the night it comes out. We plan on having a date night to go see it and I can't wait! x3 It's going to be so awesome. :D I'm totally getting hyped up too, Ami. xD Don't feel bad!

Same tbh xD

We're just a bunch of rabid fan girls

Also

*cough*

TEAM EDWARD :cheer:

I'm Team Edward and Jacob ... um, does Team Edwacob count? :wacky:

I can't help getting hyped up and I feel so naughty watching those clips when I know I shouldn't have done it. xD

Im being a good girl and avoiding clips and trailers lol! But finding someone to go see the film with is a pain. Id take my gran, but I dont want her to be defended lol! Plus she may end up beating up a girl or two over Edward :D

We're both team Edward lol :D

I would definitely avoid clips and trailers because you'll just get hyper like me and Mandi were! Shared the excitement with my friend at her college (my old one, too xD) and she's done her best to contain it, too. However, we kept seeing the Quileute posters on the buses yesterday and we were giggling like two hyper fan girls!

I never liked Edward. >_< They made him the 'hot popular' guy in Harry Potter too!

Is there something everyone else sees that I don't? :gonk:

Anyway, Jacob is freakin' buff. I'd friggin go off with him over Edward. At least he's more stable and wants to actually be with Bella and keep her safe. There's no real chance of him wanting to eat her either. <_<

But yeah I can't wait for the movie to come out. XD

I really want to see Jacob on the big screen. :wacky:

But you'd be surprised with Jacob later on, Kandy. That is, if you haven't read the books. He
acts like a complete jerk and even wants to stop Bella from marrying Edward in Breaing Dawn.
But apart from that, I'd willingly want him to whisk me away anytime.

I have some news relating to the upcoming movie, peeps. :monster:

'Twilight' author to appear on 'Oprah'

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer will be a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show this Friday.

The 36-year-old writer announced on her blog that she is excited to appear on Winfrey's show to talk about the second Twilight film New Moon, directed by Chris Weitz.

"You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, insofar as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception," Meyer posted.

She added: "I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So... I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13."

Meyer also confirmed that she will answer questions from fans on website The Twilight Saga on November 16.

New Moon arrives in cinemas on November 20.

I don't really watch Oprah because it's in the U.S. I have watched the odd interview here and there if I'm REALLY interested. However, it seems I'll have to watch this one since I've never seen Stephenie Meyer give an actual interview before.

So...who here actually went to the midnight screening of New Moon?

I love the series myself (wearing a twilight jacket, shirt, and has a twilight tote XD), but I refuse to screw up my sleep, especially since I've been so freaking exhausted as of late, to see it. :gasp: But I wanted to know from those who went: were there a lot of people? (that's a stupid question, I think. XD) Did you even get in? Did you buy tickets ahead of time or took your chances with the lines?

Well, as for myself, I'm going tonight, around 5 hours from now, or so. But I just wanted to hear some feedback about the expericence of seeing New Moon on opening night. :awesome: I'll post mine later on, once I return from the madness. :gasp:

It was definitely packed when we went last night and this is a cinema that hardly anyone goes to anymore! New Moon was fangtastic! I left the cinema with a big grin on my face and can't believe that they ended the film with
the proposal!
Everyone was like, "Come on!" and then it ended, so they were disappointed. Least there's only next June until Eclipse goes out. I gave the film a full review in the "Last Movie You've Seen" thread, anyway.
