Surprised no one made a thread on this lol.

Well, this is the True Blood thread. I purchased the DVD today because Im reading the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, Im enjoying it, but wow! The TV series is very ... graphic lol! Not your Twilight vibe lol. But I like it.

I just love the characters of Sookie, Bill, Sam and Sookies grandma. They are so realistic and you do want the best for them. I started reading the book before the TV series and was bit meh when I seen Anna-IruninedRogue-Paquin as Sookie. But she does such a good job as the cute, telepathic waitress.

Anyone else a fan of the show??

I've seen one episode of this at my best mates house.

I do like Sookie. She is very cute and I think there is a clan that is passionate about killing vampires or something. They're really obsessed.

I'm not really sure about what is actually going on though. My friend tried to explain it to me but I didn't quite take it all in.

Though just from that one episode I definitely want to watch the entire thing. There was some crazy lady that makes everyone get horny and have sex too. >_<

I was quite shocked with how horny everyone was. I was halfway through the first series when it was on FX, but then I moved into uni and have another chance to watch it online since it's now on 4oD. Does anyone else find Bill a little bit creepy, almost like a stalker? I absolutely adore Sookie, she's so adorable and persistent. Tara makes me laugh each episode with her wit and humour!

I'ce seen this like, 2 or 3 times, I watched it last night and last week I think, whenever that girls brother was getting accused of murder

I think it's quite good actually, it's interesting to see a show with vampires that aren't living in secret for a change

and whoever that vampire dude is as well, is hot

I'm still trying to figure out why she can read minds though, I guess I've missed lots of it....

I just watched the entire first season of this at my mates the other day.

I absolutely loved it!

When I first posted in here I had only seen a couple of episodes from season two.

I love how Bill and Sookie came together in Season one.

It hasn't really been explained how Sookie can read minds. I think she was just born like that, unless they're going to reveal something about it in the next few episodes.

I was so glad that Jason didn't get locked up for the girls murders in the end and that they found out who the real murderer was.

I can't believe that Sam can shapeshift either! He was that cute dog all along. Though he isn't cute in human form unfortunately.

Eric is one of the hotter vampires. The one with the longish blonder hair hehe.

Anyway, loving the series so far. Can't wait for season two to come out on DVD.

I need to get the books too. My mate has already read all nine books she got for Christmas. 0_0

OMG I just finished the Second Season a little while ago and I loved it! <3

I'm up to Episode 3 of Season 3 now and it just keeps getting better and better!

The main thing I love about this particular Vampire series is their accents. XD

I love where the setting of it all is out in the Southern part opposed to the city where most other Vampire stories are told.

Fantastic series so far! I love it!

OMG Kandy you finished season 3? How was it? Don't spoil it for me as I'm an avid True Blood fan. I Only have like 3 episodes till I finish Season 3 :x3:

I think Sookie is kinda stupid the way she gets herself into certain situations but I find all the characters charming! I like how everyone meshes and how diverse the cast is. The story may be confusing to those who haven't watched it, but it's really good and I love like how at the end of the episodes when something suprising happens there's a song relating to what just happened. I love Sookie, and some of the new characters like Jessica, and Alcide even Lafayet is funny sometimes. Sams interesting, they're all so fun! I like all the vampires, especially Pam because she's the only one who seems to have common sense XD

Oh no no! I'm only up to Episode 3 of Season 3 so far, so I can't spoil too much for anyone. =P

I've only seen the full Seasons of 1 and 2. >.<

Unfortunately in Australia you get everything last. :gonk:

And OMG Pam is awesome! She's so witty. XD

Lafayette is just awesome too. Apparently they were going to kill off his character because that's what happened in the books, but fans loved him too much and so they kept him on.

Whoops! I misunderstood. I think the season 3 is finished here. :sad3: But you will love it I garuntee. It's all been cranked up and sookie gets way more interesting near the end.

I'm glad they decided to keep Lafayete so that he could keep Terra in check XD
They put that bald lady in his place plus he gets nice character developement later so it's all good.
I love this show although the sex is a bit exxagerated for my taste....but everything else is fine

Great show! Sure it's cheesy as hell and some of the dialogue between Sookie and Bill is cringeworthy, but the show is just so funny that you eat it all up anyway. I love how irreverent it is compared other recent movies/tv shows dealing with similar subject matter, and that is definitely part of the appeal. So far I've only seen season 1 and 2. I'm too impatient to follow a show week for week on TV, so I'm waiting till season 3 is out on DVD :P

They've only shown the first season so far here in Europe, but it's very good. It deals with vampires and several myths in quite a refreshing tone and manner. For example, the whole 'A vampire must be invited in thing" was quite tense when Sookie revoked her invitation. A lot of things that could be cliches in other programmes or films aren't really in this, because it isn't totally built on cliches. The heroine, Sookie, is actually quite good.

Anyone seen Season 5 yet?

I watched it twice. First on my own and then with Steve.

Season 5 wasn't like the other seasons. It was wierder and a bit more isolated.

It felt like I was constantly in that little dungeon that the Authority lived in.

Hopefully season 6 is a little more intriguing.
