PDP selling 'secret' TRON Xbox 360 controller

Update: There's also a PS3 version, though less scarce.

Now, I'm no expert on secrecy. Deception isn't my strong suit and I tend to prefer the direct approach. But I believe that the moment you decide to issue a press release to inform people of a "secret" product you're selling, you lose all right to further refer to such a thing with that word.

Such a thing would not stop accessory manufacturer PDP, who sent us the very thing I just described. They have produced a very limited run of Xbox 360 controllers designed with an alternate TRON theme based on the villains of TRON Legacy and TRON Evolution. The wired controllers have light-up orange accents and are available from PDP's website for $49.99. But there's only 250 of them available, so I would not tarry if you want one.

Unless it's made by Sony, No other controller proves to be more durable then the original ones for the PS3.

I never buy cheap knock offs, even if it does look nice. Perhaps Sony would adopt this design and make it an official sony product, alongside with the permission of PDP of course. And without the word "Tron" in there.

The PS3 controller look great but unless it's an official Sony controller I won't buy it I spent way to much money on crap controllers that break within a week.

The blue really suits the black controller I wish Sony would come with designs like that.

Yes Sony has always been one of the best when it comes to quality, but you know my controller fell once..ONLY ONCE ! and the mechanics inside was screwed up...it was not even high altitude when it fell...so yeah the main controller isnt that spectacular..

I could not play MW2 anymore when it happened.. I would run (hold L3 in) but would zoom instead and shit like that///// it was the most dramatic period of my life...

They look pretty good but I wouldn't bother getting one.

Firstly they are wired, which is kinda lame imo. Secondly I already have two PS3 controllers and my friends typically bring their own if more than two people are going to play. Finally it's just a gimmick, I mean yes it looks cool, but at the end of the day I don't need one of these more than I do a regular controller, it's not like I even look at my controller while I'm playing so it's pretty pointless imo.

They look snazzy enough but if you zoom in on the official site they're far too plastic looking for my liking. I can imagine it's a case of style of substance, I'd rather just buy an ordinary official control, at least then I know I'll get the quality and moneys worth out of it rather than risk an unofficial one which will probably break after a certain period of time.
