I looked up, down, and ALL around this section, and I did not find a thread ALL about this fantastic film. So here we go.

Toy Story. One of the greatest movies of all time, in my opinion. It's DEFINITELY on my top movie list... It was the first full length animated feature done by computers. That alone makes it an iconic film. That set aside, the characters were all charming. They all had a tangible personality and you could feel for each of them. For it being the first of it's kind it REALLY shined with the animations of the characters. The entire story was charming and wove a tale about the average kid playing with his toys and the adventures your toys have when you aren't looking ;)

There's really nothing to NOT like about this movie... If you have not seen it, put it on your list of things to do right away.

What are your thoughts on this movie?

Have you seen it?

Do you plan to? (You better!)

What did you think of it?

I love Toy Story. It was actually the first Pixar film I'd ever saw and boy, did it have an effect on me. I always did love Woody and Buzz's bromance as a child. I wanted a best friend like that...

:O

Toy Story is awesome. The first one seemed pretty dark compared to 2, and maybe even darker than 3. My favorite parts are when buzz flew with Woody into the van with Andy at the end. My other is when Woody opened buzzs space helmet and buzz was choking. Hilarious.

All three films are excellent, though my favourite is the second film (one of the few sequels to better the first film). Just a great trilogy, and still Pixar's finest hour probably.

The second one was my favorite. I feel so sorry for Jessie...

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE INCINERATOR SCENE IN 3 *sob*

i think our generation is probably a fan of toy story, and the third was made as much for us as it was for the new generation (if not more). it's one of my favourite cinematic trilogies, because it's pretty much impossible to fault a single moment of it. to make an audience care so much about what is supposedly an inanimate object takes a special talent, and to make a cinema full of adults cry at THAT moment in toy story 3 takes even more talent.

the best moment of the trilogy for me is probably finding out zerg is buzz's father in number 2. pure genius.

That was nice, but my favorite part was the SNES in Andy's room in 2. :P

Toy Story was the first 3d animated film I ever went to see in the cinema. I have watched it countless times since then and it still never fails to crack me up. My favourite moment was when Buzz was ready to hop out of the window to save that toy soldier. "I'm gonna teach that boy a lesson!"

Funniest thing ever. xD

I thoroughly enjoyed all three films, and I don't prefer one over the other. Although! I wouldn't go as far as saying Toy Story was Pixar's finest hour. I mean, Monsters Inc. The Incredibles, Cars (The first one) and Up were all equally as good in my eyes. :monster:

I hate it. I'm sorry but the first one was really a bore and it starts out with a really happy song about being friends forever and then the dumb kid sees a new toy LOL NOPE YOU SUCK NOW, YOU ARE OLD AND NOT COOL LIKE BUZZ.

The second one felt mind-controlling, like don't don't dump your toys and become a hoarder. Be like Ariel from the Little Mermaid and keep all your toys from your childhood.... never let them go. That toy that you loved when you were six... keep him.... he might suffer....

The third one. Oh don't me started. It gets crowned for being a new unique, heart-warming tale when it's just fucking Brave Little Toaster expect with Buzz and Woody.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

Congratulations you have just written maybe the most wrong post on any internet forum ever! Did you actually watch the films? Because you especially seem to have missed the point with the first two.

I'm sure he has seen them. Otherwise he wouldn't have had an opinion of them. :monster:

I'm a girl.

and yeah I've seen the first one about five times, the second one about six times and the 3rd one about twice. Hated them on first viewing and hate them after every other viewing.

And yeah opinion is a opinion, not everybody is gonna like the same thing.

I'm sorry but this just makes me laugh so much. " Stop hating what I like " ! " She doesn't like what I like, she's a criminal " !

What point ? The boy clearly rejects Woody as soon as he sees Buzz just no longer than a couple of moments after the " I'll love you forever song " It's annoying. And the second one clearly hammers the message home not to reject your childhood toys. Keep them, because they might "suffer " and you're a jerkass if you go to college and reject them.

The Brave Little Toaster has a familiar message. Don't dump your childhood stuff, even if it's a fucking toaster. And it really nightmare- fuels you into it as well, with cars singing about how depressed they are that their owner dumped them and they're about to die and one car even commits fucking suicide at the end of the song. Don't dump your old stuff, even if it doesn't work anymore.

Sorry! Got a bad habbit of assuming people's genders by their username. I really have to stop doing that. -_-

I find it interesting that you got that message from Toy Story, though. I mean, with the first one, I felt that the main focus was on Woody and Buzz's relationship. How they started off hating each other, but by the end became best friends. I thought the song was fitting for that. And as for the whole "keep your toys and become a hoarder"... In my case, it was more making a point along the lines of "appreciate the things you have because one day you might miss them".

I haven't seen The Brave Little Toaster, so I don't see the comparison unfortunately. :monster:

Not sure what You've Got a Friend in Me has to do with Andy overlooking Woody in favour of Buzz in the first film. It's a song about Woody and Andy's relationship before Buzz comes on to the scene, and over the years in general. And the message of the second film is that invariably children will move on and leave their old toys behind, it's not telling people to hoard their old toys. That's borne out in the third film. And it's not surprising that The Brave Little Toaster was an influence on the trilogy, as John Lasseter was involved in that film.

And why would anyone watch a film they hated so much five or six times?!

I liked Toy Story when I was young. It was very re-watchable. I probably watched it like 100 times. I also used to have this Toy Story game on the computer that I played all the time lol.

haha lol. It's always on TV when there is nothing else on and some parts about it are good. Like Spanish Buzz and Jessie is awesome character. I was in a bad mood when I wrote that message before. I guess I don't loathe it per say, just find it overrated.

It's usually crowned as the best Pixar or best Disney movie when there's some better one's out there. Like Up.

I have only seen the first two, and I do not remember the first film that well. I remember the spider baby freaked me out though. I watched the second one plenty of times as we had it on VHS, it was quite good. Haven't seen the third, don't really intend to either
