I didn't see a discussion thread anywhere, so I thought I'd make one here. Wow! This series has started off with a right bang. I've only seen Day One and Two, but I'm amazed already to see what's happened!

I can't believe
Jack has a daughter and grandson, Gwen is pregnant and Ianto's family are so hilarious!
The new format seems to be working so far because the current ratings are brilliant: 5.9m tuned in to Monday's and the ratings have been steady ever since.

Not surprised that
Jack STILL can't be killed
and thought that
Gwen shooting on Day Two highly reminded me of Lara Croft with the two guns and jumping!

Anyone else impressed with the series so far? :awesome:

Definately the best series to date. Loving it so far.

One think I like about Jack is that he is pretty similar to The Doctor, in the way that we are always learning new things about him.

Ianto is hilarious when
he busts Jack out of that facility with a JCB!
Ugh, gonna have to catch up soon. Still need to watch Day Three first.

omg the tochwood children of earth is relli mind blowing, i read online that they were going to dim down from the first seris to make it more child frendily, but this series has taken that rule and throwen it from the table, i am waiting for this to come out on dvd so i can buy it, but i am wonderin how many parents told thier kids " go to sleep or ill send you to the aliens" lol:P

Wasn't to keen on the ending. It was good, but seemed rushed. Anti-climax.

I was very pleased overall,
completely devasted by Ianto's death
and Jack leaving was very unexpected. Maybe the BBC didn't know if there was going to be another series? Regardless, with the overwhelming and good ratings of this series surpassing that than the previous ones, I think it's safe to say we can expect a series four any day now.

OMG I missed the episode on Thursday and I was completely lost, but my friend did catch me up on it, so sad that Ianto and Steven is both... you know and Jack was... you know. I still haven't seen the first series, but watched the end when a girl died. I didn't know why. (didn't want to use spoiler thingies)

Yeah i was
saddened by Ianto's death

I think the BBC have gone anti gay by
killing a gay dude :P

Torchwood is legendary as is Jack Harkness. I still dont know if he gay or bi in the programme xD

Well Russel The Davies is gay himself I think, so I don't think he's anti-gay (though not sure if he wrote that particular episode). In fact
his death
led to a kiss anyway.

And Jack Harkness is bi. He's referenced having lots of female partners in the past as well as male ones and he frequently said in past series' that he'd "do anything with a heartbeat" etc.

Anyway I quite enjoyed this series. I felt really sorry for the civil servant that had to
shoot his own family to avoid sending his own children to be sent to the aliens to be used as drugs.
The way everyone treated him was pretty poor after all his hard work.

Hmmmm... Now Gwen is the
only member of Torchwood left
... I've heard they might be doing another series, but it'll have to be a whole different team now, bar Gwen.

Unless Captain Jack comes back, which he probably will. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he turns up in the next Doctor Who special episode to say goodbye to Tennant.

Torchwood wouldn't be the same without Jack! Gwen will still be in it by the looks of things. Maybe she'll form a new team with Mickey and Martha? Who knows?

Torchwood-Jack and Ianto

Don't know how many Torchwood fans are out there, but I just felt like posting this.
A lot of people are saddened by the death of Ianto and the end of Janto(Jack and Ianto). I hope somehow, they bring him back so they can be together again. The show would not be complete without those two and Gwen of course.

Maybe you wanna put spoiler tags in there cause some people, myself included, have not yet gotten round to watching Children of Earth yet lolz. Theres meant to be a 4th series in production. But whereas Jack and Ianto somehow come back ... Im not sure.

Sorry, wish i had known how to do that. :P I'm pretty sure they're not planning on bringing Ianto back seeing as the actor who plays him has confirmed he won't be returning for the fourth season.

If so, then why make this thread if Gareth David-Lloyd has confirmed hes not returning?

I've edited your post with spoiler tags. If you want to put spoiler tags in for yourself, you do
*TEXT HERE*
without the spaces

*EDIT* also merged this thread with an existing Torchwood thread, about Children of Earth, since this pertains to CoE.

Thanks for that, Amanda. :jess:

Apparently, the fourth series is rumoured to be airing here summer 2011 and will be filmed in many locations around the world. I just want it to come as soon as, really. I love the show and it's not the same without Captain Jack.
