After watching the newest FF X HD trailer and during the wedding clip, I've noticed that Tidus's eyebrows are kinda light reddish/ brunette so does Tidus dye his hair ? Then again he is a dream, so did the Fayth picture a man who dyes his hair blonde ? :hmmm:

It certainly appears as if Tidus' hair is dyed. You can occasionally see dark roots which would support the idea that it is dyed.

That's Tidus' hair as a child. So in the intervening ten years or so his hair has become blonder, and dying seems to be the most likely explanation.

Well eyebrows tend to be darker than hair. A lot of people who are naturally blonde have eyebrows that look more brown.

lmao holy shit I can't believe you just made a serious reply in a thread like this :lew:

anyway, i was about to say that it was just a bad cgi team messing up but hal has shown me that Tidus' hair was actually darker. i can't believe it, that little shit dyes his frickin' hair :hal:

i feel so lied to

^ that's true. I was born and grew up with very light blonde hair and now it's chestnut brown. One of my friends had hair that was nearly white when he was a kid but it's gone really dark now that he's older. I wouldn't be surprised if Tidus did dye his hair, but I don't think he has.

It's true that it is possible for hair colour (and even eye colour) to change naturally. Even the particular texture / shape / way hair falls on a particular person can alter. Mine originally was a sort of blonde / light brown, but was sort of normal short hair that hangs from the head in a traditional sense. Then when I went through my teens it gradually turned to a very dark brown, to black, and now the hair (whilst short) seems to fluffily stick out at all angles like the rear-end of a black baby chicken. Not sure how that happened. And my eyes changed colour too. Perhaps I'm a Time Lord.

For Tidus, however, I think it is quite obvious that he has had his hair dyed. There is quite a lot of detail in Tidus' character model and as Hal says you can even catch glimpses of dark hair at the roots, so it looks very much like he has dyed his hair.

EDIT -

He looks like he has bleached his hair. Basically to look like a stereotypical beach-boy, or surfer-boy, or whatever people call that archetype. That's the type of character that Tidus is designed to be. Tanned, sporty, athletic, good at swimming, dyed hair. Then add a water-sword and peculiar costume because this is a Final Fantasy game.

I can imagine that it is logical that the Fayth would dream up such a person when populating the Zanarkand blitzball team.
That said, when they added FFX-2 to the universe, it became Shuyin that Tidus' physical appearance was based on.

Yes....

I admit that I was bored...

The thread subject isn't silly (it is, but not in a negative way). I like the topic, I always wondered about it myself. But I was just shocked to see Hal make an honest reply, he usually doesn't do that sort of thing in these type of threads. :lew:

You better not! I'm cosplaying Squall next yeah, and identify with him. You'll have me questioning my own sexuality >_>

There was a thread made a couple of years ago about Squall and Irvine holding hands during the Parade, and when in control of Irvine in FH, if you head back to Balamb, you can as Irvine check up on Squall sleeping.

I'm sorry but the whole Rinoa thing is just a cover-up.

Oh thankyou

They did originally plan to have Tidus with dark black hair, but guess that they thought that dyed beach blonde hair would match his character better.
