In my opinion this is the greatest boss theme in any Final Fantasy game. Sure, there are other good boss fight themes like The Decisive Battle from FF VI, but this song still manages to get me all hyped up before a boss fight twelve years down the road.

I'd say that the definitive version of this is the Black Mages rendition, it keeps the same rockin' feel of the original but has much better sound quality. I can't say I'm a fan of the remix from Crisis Core though. Its barely recognizable and just doesn't have the same feel the original did, its the same story with the version they decided to use in Dissidia.

What are your thoughts on this piece and its remixes?

Is a really amazing boss theme tune. It's catchy addictive and got a awesome rock n roll mix to the song.

However tend to believe that Final Fantasy III has the best boss theme tune. Despite the games age and the lack of limit of what SE could do on a NES consle. The boss theme in Final Fantasy III is purely amazing..

The music from FFIII wasn't overly memorable to me. I love Those Who Fight, and I'll say its my favorite generally speaking... but it isn't always. I tend to switch around a lot on the music I prefer.

Ive no idea which FF this is from, so it's either been created in the wrong section, or the last 2 posts are confusing me. So, either be mindful where you create a thread OR keep it on the original topic :gasp:

In any case, this thread is for discussion on the boss theme of FF VII, not any piece from FF III.
 
in FFVII the best boss theme i believe is "One winged angel" mainly because it constanlty gets stuck in my head, even when i havent played ffVII in 2 years (no longer own a ps console) and its still there. i also like the fact its in latin
 
I was more into the "One Winged Angel" song from FF7 at the end then i was with "Those who Fight Further" though i really enjoyed it too. It had a nice beat to it is one of my favourites.
 
Those Who Fight Further is awesome. Nobuo really knows how to set the feeling, not only with the sense of battle, but the feeling and appearance of the game, too.

The metal sound REALLY suits the look of Final Fantasy VII. One of my favourites to play on guitar! :D
 
I enjoyed Jenova Theme and One Winged Angel, thought "Those who fight further" was really great and it was good for a Boss theme, it get me excited when I battle a boss but it all goes when the boss die fast. -__-

I thought that it was the perfect boss battle theme for FFVII, I couldn't really imagine it in any of the other Final Fantasy games. It was the perfect one for FFVII ^^
 
Ive always thought this was the best boss and battle theme there is. It has a good rock feel to it and when i enter a boss battle i always feel like its important. The fast pace of the track also seems to make the battle faster. Great piece of work.
 
It's good, but i always thought "Jenova Absolute" or "The Birth Of A God" were better boss themes in FFVII, especially in the latter one's case.

Plus, as a standard boss theme in the FF series, i've always thought this was the definitive theme rather than "Those Who Fight Further":
