While it may true that in other cultures why you may consider to be taboo, that culture applauds it but we all seem to universally agree that there things you just cannot do like murder children or kill some guy. AI don't know of any more examples but we all seem to "universally" agree that there are things that you cannot do any setting or any place, what examples are of this?

Well I wouldn't say murder is universally accepted as something you cannot do. There are plenty of cultures that allow you to murder, given the right circumstances.

The Aztecs had their whole human sacrifice thing going for them. And that was beyond just murder, that was... Well needlessly gory. o_O

Other cultures used to eat their dead, not to degrade the person who died, but because it was a sign of respect. They believed it would release the departed soul from the body.

Just about anything can be justified depending on the cultures core beliefs.

Rape? I can imagine that's looked down upon nearly everywhere, although, I'm sure somewhere in this world there will be a culture who don't mind. But you're naturally going to have things such as murder, rape, theft etc. that are universally challenged, it's just our morals that decided it's wrong.

Treason, back-stabbing, etc. The most hated of all actions, it destroys relationships and even whole nations. If that's not an action that's frowned upon in every culture, I don't know what is.

Rape a cow named Samuel in a faint winter snow... >.>

Nah, there's lots of criminal things I could see myself doing under the right circumstances. I don't like thinking about it... but I think we can all be driven to our breaking points. I couldn't see myself doing anything to harm a child though. I think regardless of how bad things got, I'd rather harm myself than hurt a child in any capacity (emotionally, physically, etc.)

Kidnap. I doubt that's "allowed" anywhere. Unless it's a big government conspiracy *cue X Files music*

Rape is common enough in some Middle Eastern countries, there's Afghanistan's really cool new law, cool if you're if you're livng in the past anyway. Also women can get gang raped for leaving the house by themselves.
However I don't think paedophilia has been or is culturally accepted anywhere, though no doubt I'll be proven wrong.

Depends on what age you'd consider too young. I remember hearing of places that girls young as 14 are "allowed" to have sex and have children etc. Usually with men ALOT older.

Though I can't remember where they said. Was some TV program.

I mean children, 8, 9, 10 etc.
It's not uncommon for 14 year olds to be having sex, but now with men much older.
Like I said I don't know that paedophilia ever a culturally accepted practice. You get your normal religious maniacs who thought that children had the devil inside of them and tortured them. You also have people like Gilles de Rais but he was just an individual.

Wait . . what the fuck? o_O Middle east countries don't have such things as I live in one of them. :kei: and Afghanistan is not a Middle eastern country. :kei:

If you raped a girl here then you might be dead in the next 10 minutes. :monster: it's all about family's dignity and pride and it's immoral. However in Egypt (and only Egypt) which is most rotten country you would see around, rapes might happen since they are rotten tbh, some of them are gay too. :gasp:

Afghanistan is a Middle Eastern country, it's also an Asian country, and a couple of other terms to describe geography. :ryan:
I was perhaps being flippant when I said rape wasn't too uncommon.

And there's good old Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan who is passing a law forcing wives to have sex with their husbands once every four days.

Well, then specific the things you said on Afghanistan, remember it's the US doing all work there, their president is just someone the US wanted to be in the chair, if you destroy moral then the whole country will fall apart, it's one of the basics. ;))

Anyway, Theft, rape, harassing girls is not acceptable, if you want to look at it from religions viewpoint, then many things are not acceptable and you can't do it.

The only thing I could think of is High Treason, which has, I believe, already been stated. To sell out your own nation for secrets and such would mean instant death in most countries, or just prison for life.

Honor killings? I know that's a pretty common practice somewhere out there... but I'm not sure where. Is that what you're referring to?

What about the "universal" things that we know to be "wrong"? Or the things we definitely know are "wrong"?
