This is a topic I'm sure would be quite a relief from people's minds... What just p***es you off about games or the general gaming community? Just let it out, speak your mind about anything related to games that just tick you off, and we'll discuss 'em.

...Any takers? :P

This is the closest thing we'll ever have to a "Bitching Grounds" so I might as well use it.

Things that tick me off:
-Friends turning against each other.
-Bitchy Teachers at school
-Excessive amount of homework...though I am getting used to it...
-A waste of money in a game that really sucks....specially if it was expensive..
-SB fights, they don't make me angry but it's still annoying.
-Spammers in the RP section :stare:
-People toying with other's feelings.
-People bothering me while I am reading :stare:
-Being judged by people before they even knowing me yet :stare:
-Attention Whores...
-Emos, not all of them though, there are Good Emos and Bad Emos
-Abuse, all kinds.
-Maltreatment
-Politics splitting people, as well as war.

*I'll add some more later...*

Things that totally tick me off:

+ It really ticks me off when I go to use the restroom and I realize just a second too late that the person who used the restroom before me was too much of a jerk to put a new roll of toilet paper there after using it all up.

+ I hate hair in the bathtub...how hard is it to rinse the tub out after you take a shower?

+ Bathroom annoyance #3. Even if you do take the time to lift the seat before taking a leak, GUYS, if you piss on the toilet, clean it up.

+ Never...touch...my toothbrush. I do NOT want to find my toothbrush upside down in a puddle of muck in the shower when I wake up in the morning. My toothbrush sits on the bathroom sink...don't move it...

+ I hate food in the sink...food does not go in the sink; regardless of whether or not you have a garbage disposal. Empty your plate into the trash can, rinse it, then stack it into the sink or the dish washer.

+ I hate balancing acts. Don't sit your plate or cup on the edge of the counter, and don't stack it somewhere where it's bound to fall and make a monstrous mess.
And on a side note...food and drinks do not belong in the bedroom and/or anywhere near the computer.

+ Stacking things up in the fridge. I have my refrigerator organized in a specific way for a specific reason. Don't come home and stack your leftovers on top of my eggs, don't lean the milk carton on it's side just to make more room, and don't squish my son-of-a-bitching casserole.

+ Do not...ever...ever...ever...eat my leftovers. If I didn't want them, I would have thrown them away. They are for me; they are not for you.

+ Here's a really big annoyance. Don't spark up a conversation with me while I'm working. If I'm reading a book, writing something down, or if I have the phone against my ear, don't talk to me.

+ Phone calls.
If I didn't answer the phone the first time you called, it's because:
a) I was too busy to answer
b) I didn't want to answer
c) I knew you were calling; I ignored the call
Don't call me back within a span of 5 minutes. Don't leave numerous messages on my voice mail. Don't text message me.
My phone, like every other cell phone in the world, has caller ID...I know you called...if I want to talk to you, I will call you back.

Aye, good I've learned since I was a kid that we (boys) should keep the bathroom clean and that if we found it clean, then we SHOULD leave it clean :D

Wanna know what made me learn that lesson? My mom grounded me for 1 week. No TV, no fun, just studies and staring to the walls in my room

Amen to that, sometimes I do avoid phone calls. I do believe in face-to-face constructive conversations, not just pointless topics. I am not the talkative type on cellphones, I avoid it as much as possible unless I am really interested on the topic I am discussing, which is rare though. I hate it when people keeps calling after I kept ignoring the call for about, thirty minutes? And also I don't answer calls while I am doing something else like either reading, writing, resting, or eating, playing games.

So Booger, thanks for reminding me that :monster:

...though I'd enjoy this more if I could stray outside videogames.

I hate sport games. I hate Halo fanboys on Xbox Live. I hate poor connection on Xbox Live.

I'll add more later when I think of 'em.

xD I should really change the subtitle and get this topic moved... This is different from what I intended, but, a topic like this is needed for everything, not just games.

My addition to the convo...

One thing that totally ticks me off is diehard fanboys/fangirls when it comes to games.

The first is the type of fanboy who thinks that a new Halo/Final Fantasy/Whatever game is like the second coming of Jesus-f***ing-Christ. I'm serious... They can look at something mediocre and call it perfection, whilst they are surrounded by stuff that is MUCH better... I don't know WHAT they are smoking, but I'd probably try a whiff in order for me to see if I can enjoy E.T. on the Atari for longer than a second.

Secondly, the diehard fans who look gift horses in the mouth. These are the people who are denied something for the longest time, that when they get it, they're so bitter about not being able to get it sooner, that they obsess about how different it is from what they played 20 - 30 years ago. I'm letting off smoke here, but I joined this site for a game called Fallout, I was totally psyched Fallout 3 was coming out in 2008, the ten year anniversary of Fallout 2. I get on the site, expecting to find lauds and praises that FO3 is FINALLY being released, and all they do is b**** about how it's not EXACTLY the same as Fallout 1 & 2, which were made 10+ years ago!

In short... Diehard fanboys/fangirls just annoy me to no freaking end...

10 minute cut-scenes that occur right before an extremely hard boss battle. That you can't skip. Every game should have a Skip Scene option, at least if you've seen it before.

Some of the things I hate about gaming communities:

People who whine over character voices
People who whine about how they won't play a game unless it has voice-overs
People who whine about Anti-Aliasing
People who let game mag reviews think for themselves; example - people who listened to reviews of Lair saying it had bad controls when it does not.

This next one doesn't tick me off, but it causes me to roll my eyes:

People who complain that a remake will ruin the original, and that the company should focus on new games.

The solution to that first part is simple: Don't play the remake. Of course, there will be still people whining over that.

What makes the latter part of that annoyance is that a company is making new games with new stories. It's just the company has gotten so large that it can spend time and money and have a team work on a remake, or re-release a past title with improved graphics and sound. Thus the people complaining about a company needing to focus on making new games is actively throwing egg on their faces.

Just thought of one about a game company.

When a company makes a new console, but at the same time, makes it so it is somewhat inferior to the console it's replacing.....say, it doesn't come with a hard-drive in every console, thus hand-cuffing game developers.

And this same company, thinking re-using the same disc format which also hand-cuffs developers because of lack of space, thus more time and money is spent on trying to compress the game so it fits on a disc less than 8.5 gigs in size.

Also, once again the same company, develops a console with poor air circulation, not to mention poor placement of it's graphics chip and dvd drive, thus resulting in overheating issues that kills the system. Then the company has to spend, or waste I should say, 1billion dollars on a 3 year warranty.

Ok, just came up with another one for a different company.

A game company that takes their console that's been out for a handful of years, strips it down, over-clocks it, and adds a motion sensing controller and slaps a new name on it.

Congrats <company name="">, on fooling many people, and hand-cuffing 1/3rd of the gaming market for companies that release multi-platform games, thus hurting not only the company, but the gaming industry as a whole for those companies won't grow as fast if that last 1/3rd of a market was open to them.

What about the companies that make a game specifically for this over-clocked console? What if they wanted to port to the other 2 consoles on the market to make extra money? Oh, wait, they can't. Because the game they made for this little console looks like crap compared to the games on the other two consoles, because of the system specifications, and would ultimately have to remake the game for the other consoles. Save for a handful of games that do look good, but chances are they are made by first party developers and won't ever see the light of day on opposing systems. Thus these specific developers lose out on 2/3rds of the market.

This same company, with this little console, just had to go and make a console targeting the "casual gamers." While that's truly nice, but unfortunately, the gaming industry as we know it didn't get here on casual gamers, it got here on the shoulders of the hardcore gamers, or gamers that spend many hours a week playing games. With a lack of diverse games for the gamers that spend more time playing than the casual gamers, only 2 of the 3 consoles have a great selection of games for the gamers that do spend lots of time playing.

Hmmm....that's about it for my little rant.</company>

I get what you're saying there. xD Honestly, I'm a person who welcomes remakes of old games, because I always appreciate a new perspective or new feature to an old story.

As for the consoles you're talking about, I totally agree that companies are being rather stupid nowadays. However, My decision's rather clear-cut when it comes to the recent consoles... The 360 is the most obvious choice for a gamer who wants a large variety of games to choose from. Typically, my favorite gaming system has been my PC, for which many of the 360 games will be ported. However, my computer's running low on space, so PC gaming has become less of an option for me until I decide to get a big external hard drive...

Something else that ticks me off has to do with PC games... Specifically, Oblivion... I had the recommended specs for the game as soon as it came out on PC. A few patches later, a HIGHER graphics level than what I had was added and for some reason the game runs really slow in the Shivering Isles. It's not just me that's ticked off, either... Some of the PC gamers with Oblivion who have lower-end graphics that were listed SPECIFICALLY in the system requirements had to either get 'Oldblivion' or download a patch in order for the game to run at a playable 30 FPS.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Oblivion, but Bethesda just misrepresented their product with the 'specs'.

I hate getting dced when im on PSU

I hate it even more when my electric runs out and I havent saved my game fore ages

I hate obsesive guilds when im playing PSU and all I wanna do is kill aferw monsters and have some lighthearted fun

Thats about it really...im sure il think of more seeing as alot of things tend to annoy me xD

Let's see...it annoys me when there's extra crap that you have to do in order to set up your game system and establish a wi-fi connection (I even bought a USB port for it and it still won't work!!!!).

As for PC gaming, I hate it when people cheat. I remember I was playing Age of Empire and five - ten minutes into the game, I checked the other players' progress just to see how they're doing...and what do I see? A very big civilization!

- When people say: "Eww WoW sucks! It's such a shitty game! WoW is stupid!" Gee... I wonder why over 10 million people play it, and it's the best selling MMORPG of all time...?

- Chinese gold farmers... GTFO!

- "Xbox 360 ONLY has first person shooter games! I hate the Xbox 360!" First off your making a generalization. Second off, I'll gladly read you a long list of games that aren't FPS k thx bye. (Ex. Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Beautiful Katamari, Eternal Sonata <--- Those are exclusives by the way. =D)

- When people say: "Ewww I hate the Wii/GameCube/Nintendo! It's only for little kids." I love it, especially when little kids say that about Nintendo.

- Fan boys/Fan girls.... Shut up

- The graphics this the graphics that! Sure, graphics are nice but no matter how awesome the graphics are the game still could be shit... Game play wise. Heck, the Wii has the worst graphics compared to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and guess what!? It's the best selling console right now!

- Sony pulled that fucking bullshit with the 80gig only being backwards compatibility. Good fucking job Sony. *spits on them*

I'd have to say I agree with Cerridwen. I'm loving Xbox 360 and Wii over Sony right now... That's another thing that ticks me off in gaming... I seriously doubt that Sony CAN'T afford to get backwards compatability and a lower price for the PS3, just basing off of the sales of the PS2 and all the games for it.

To be truthful, companies that make consoles aren't supposed to get massive amounts of money for console. No, they rake it in with the games. But the fact that Sony is even lowering the price of the PS3 suggests that they know their price-gouging isn't selling to the gamers. So they lower the price... But, what then?! They take out backwards compatability so then people will have to buy new PS2's when their current ones die (mine's probably on it's way out) or people who never had a PS2 that want to play PS2 games would have to buy another whole console on the side of the STILL EXPENSIVE PS3!

And people who suggest that 'xbox 360 only has FPSes' annoy me too... You've got Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fable 2, Age of Conan, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic: Elements, Deus Ex 3, Enchanted Arms, Eternal Sonata, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XI, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, The Last Remnant, The Lord of the Rings: The White Council, Lost Odyssey, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, Ninety-Nine Nights, Phantasy Star Universe, Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus, Precursors, Rise of the Argonauts, Too Human, Two Worlds, Two Worlds: The Temptation. Count them up, and those are only the RPGs for the Xbox 360! And hell, there are rumors about a Blue Dragon II as well! Also, not to mention Mass Effect and Too Human are planned to be trilogies!

As for the Wii, I love that system as well... The only thing I hate about the Wii is the lack of third-party games. I would get a Wii just for playing old nintendo games, though, myself. ^^

I hate what Square-Enix did to the FFX storyline. Who was the retard who said that making a Charlie's Angels themed FF would be a good idea?

I also hate excesive (obligatory) sidequests, ok is FFXII repetitive side quests which drive us mad

Oh and let's not forget that the Final Boss of FFXII was easy, they totally ruined Vayne

-I hate it when people have never played a game before but they keep insisting that it sucks and they hate it. Honestly, you won't know until you've played the game. And if you don't want to play it then please shut the fuck up, thanks.

-I also can't stand fanboys/girls who don't respect other people's opinions but they want to constantly ram their opinion down everyone's throat.

-Fanboys/girls in general kind of annoy me.

-I mentioned this in another thread but I really can't stand guys who dismiss my opinions on games because I'm a girl.

-Also when guys tell me I won't like a game because I'm a girl.

-People who look at me funny when I browse the NES section at the local used bookstore or flea market. Yes, I still play my NES.

-People who think Nintendo systems are only for kids.

At any rate, that's all I can think of for now.

The main thing that ticks me off is waiting for games to come out. Another thing is when games are when games are put off like how Final Fantasy XIII was supposed to be released before Christmas, and yet it isn't out yet.

I get irritated by all this rubbish about how one console is better than the other. They're all great for different reasons.

I also get REALLY annoyed at how many great games are never released over in UK. Sure we might be a small country but we still play ****ing games, right? So throw us a fricking bone here. I HAD to buy Etrian's Odyssey because there's little or no chance it'll ever get a UK release. Also bought Front Mission for DS because that may never be released here either.

I hate people that automatically think a game is rubbish without playing it. I'd read bad reviews for Socom Tactical Strike for example. People were slagging it off because it's nothing like Socom Fireteam. Well, you know what? I've got Tactical Strike AND Fireteam Bravo 2 and I think Tactical Strike is much better. To be honest, I don't like it's run and gun style of play. Maybe because most special forces don't run on the battlezone......because they'd die in 5 seconds.

I also find that paying online fees are a tad too much. Not only do you pay for a game, but you're then forced to pay a fee to actually play that game. Why can't it be free? I'd love to try WOW as I'm a big fan of Warcraft/Starcraft but the fact that I'd have to pay more money just so I can play it is putting me off.

Finally, I'm right royally pissed off with Sony and there decision to discontinue their 60gb PS3. I was hoping to get one as a late Christmas present but because they're no longer available, I'll have to settle for a 40gb. Sony sure want to shoot themselves in the foot. I know they're a business but I'm sure people wont want to buy a PS3 AND a PS2. I mean they done a good job with the BC for PS2 so why should the PS3 be that much harder? They already done it with the original PS3 but for some reason they think we Europeans don't own any PS2 games at all. Although I like the Playstations, I have forseen Sony's fall from grace ever since they released the UMD films so this doesn't come as a shock. It just pisses me off that I loose out on something that SHOULD have been standard in the PS3. Sony are just greedy *******s who don't really care about their gamers.

Amen :monster:

Besides, it is not the graphics that matter completely, is the whole quality of the games released on those consoles that matters at all. I would prefer to play some good old 2D graphic game instead of an amazing 3D game with realistic graphics and a shit of a storyline
