I don't think I fit into any. I am more a sorceror or just a plain old tank. I am fit more for defence than offence. I am focusing on my DEF, MDEF, EVA and SPD currently.
 
ill probably end up being something in between a knight and a mage. i stayed up most of the night just leveling up.

thats what i did a couple days ago to get to lvl 31.. i was pooched xD anyways glad to see some of those guys coming back :P
 
I was focusing on str, dex, and spd but now seeing the power of mages im leaning myself towards them now. Im getting my magic up and and MP and soon to be Magic def
 
I usually have trouble of getting beat due to my low defence. Now I have cura along with a 30 defence stat most things are hardly touching me. I don't get the luxury of playing all night to boost my levels so I just boost them throughout the day.
 
But if you have a high alchemy level or just low hp a hi potion will do the trick. And that is only if you are too weak. Which I am not :monster:
 
Defense is not the way to go i see a lot of people with a defense of 50 taking pratically the same damage a person with a defense of 10.

Evasion is the way to go.

Plus armour can give you all the defense you want and there will be also a certain spell called protect most likely.
 
Well, in counteraction to that, before I boosted my defence to 30 I was taking between 10-20 damage from the grizzly bears. Now they do either 0 or 6 damage.

I have 10 Defense and the Bears don't hit me at all because i have good evasion.

And with my armour i take very little damage.

So you see defense won't really get you anywhere.
 
What about Harpy's though? Apparently they are quite a pest. They are doing 3 damage to me. And evasion can't always save you, if you get struck by a physically powered foe it would hurt more. I have a healthy mix of defence and evasion so I am safe from this event.
 
Harpies are weaklings.

Most players i battled had high defense and it did not help them at all.;)

But of course each player as his/her own strategy.
 
And what would you class as a challenge currently? For me there is nothing and I am half your level.
