The Mother series helped me meet the person I love. It changes lives, but no one can experience it. The fans of Mother/Earthbound have been neglected for FAR to long.

The Mother series has a strange way of storytelling that not many can catch on to. It has 10 times the drama as most other RPGs, but it's layered between bits of humor that gradually get thinner and thinner, until what was innocent and childlike is now dark and corrupted. Mother 3 does this perfectly.

I'll be startingg a petition to get Mother 3 out of Japan and into the rest of the world. It would mean a great deal to me if you woukd sign, but as of now, it is not up.

I never played Chrono Cross, but the song definitaly sounds sad, and the FFTactics one is unforgettable.I gotta get back to playing FFT...

The song reminds me of the final battle of Mother 3. I mean, Lucas had to kill his own
brother, who realized what he had done and COMMITED SUICIDE before the Masked Man side of him took over again.

That line; "Lucas couldn't bring himself to attack..." just breaks me every time, but not as much as; "The Masked Man...took of his mask." and what happens afterward.

The ones who shared smiles and tears are now very far apart. :'(

There is a lot of sad video game songs and it hard to choose which one is the saddest. If I think of final Fantasy the saddest is forever Rachel IMO. I would also mention Aerith's theme, the coin song and Gau's theme.

Earthbound :jess: I'll sign it if it's free, I love the series, and I agree-despite the humor, there are lots of serious themes explored. I haven't played Mother 3 but I would really love to.

:sad2: I thought this tune went particularly well with that scene, even though it worked well for the other ones too.
