The Paths of Tragedy-RP Discussion Thread

HAHAHAH
Little choice, eh ^^

Ah well.
I guess this be it ^^
Mr. Squirrel, feel free to start it up.
As it is 3Am here, and You know why I have slight problems focusing. ^^

I'll use Damian Delvo in the tourney. Raven will sit it out. :wacky:

Later on today I'll get a post going where I join the tournament.

Well, you're back, and alive. So I guess that is good ^^
Also, its not like the rest of us have been über active ^^

That all depends. If you're posting something about how the combatants are fighting, for example, and whether you like/dislike it, or input your own stuff, that's not bad.

Interfering in the fight, on the other hand, is rather inappropriate...for obvious reasons.

Otherwise, if you posted about the battle, or a conversation between yourself and an NPC or summat, it's not bad.

I agree with Hera.
IF you decide to post, it should be directed to ANYONE beside the battlers.
Like, you can talk to Hera, or Cairn.
OR a purdy lady to your left.
But you can not lob in extra weapons, give hints, or the like.

So, if you like to post, like one of the crowd, feel free to do so ^^

Ah, but he can give hints. The only issue is if wither fighter would hear them over the roar of the crowd ;) I don't know if anybody here has ever been to a world-class martial arts tournament before, but there are crowds of people shouting things like "Get under his defence!" or the like. Whether or not the fighters pay attention to the tips is the key ;)

Likely, neither one of us could hear anybody but Brome over the roar of the crowd. If anybody here has ever read Martin the Warrior, they'll remember that Brome wailed so loud that the sentries on top of the fortress he was kept in had to cover their ears! It was awesome!

MERGING

Pardon the double post, but I really need you to notice this.

Red Fox said:
Though his attack was parried, he git a piece of info, that he did not really think of before.
His weapons, are wood. Sharp and strong, yes. But still wood.
This meant that since Entas' own weapon was metal, he should have the ability to destroy Felldoh's spears, should the opportunity show itself.

In a single flow of movement, Felldoh had gained the location of another spear, that was behind Entas. Ans as he turned, Felldoh had begun a twin strike.

Entas took a side step, not to avoid the strike, but to gain the needed distance for the 2 spears to meet. Since one was horizontal, and one was diagonal, they would meet up at a point. As they closed in, Entas let go of the scythe, and grabbed the chain between his hands. Using the chain he blocked the incoming attacks, and 'tied' them together temporarily. But as they where lodged together, Entas put his weight in it, and aimed a kick towards Felldoh's torso.

That is classified as god-modding, I'm afraid. Sorry Fox, but while you can block and parry, you can't actually grab your opponent's weaponry. Also, the reason I bolded the first bit there is because that is a non sequitur; the logic does not follow.

True, if the attacks were made with flawlessly exact timing, this would be true, but when an attack like that is made, it's a pretty safe bet that the fighter isn't going to connect them. By doing this, and controlling where Felldoh's spears went, you God-Modded, or controlled the character and/or his weaponry/abilities.

Would you mind changing that up?

GAH!
Im SO sorry. Ill edit that right away.

Expect it to be done on approx 5 min
BUT, my logic where not wrong, I can explain it over MSN if you wish.
bit for the sake of the RP, Ill edit it ^^

Oh no, your logic was bang on, and if we were in reality, it would have been a clever manoeuvre, and certainly would have put Felldoh in a rather disadvantaged position. However, RPing isn't reality, so we can't go by those rules.

I understand how sound the logic was, it's just that sometimes logic isn't allowed to compromise fairness. Thankees ^_^ And now that you've seen the post, I shall merge them.

Yeah, I guess the logic, somewhat overwrote the anti-G-mod rule in my mind ^^

He wouldn't exactly be hard to notice :wacky: He's the only blue-furred alien there

A conversation would be welcome. Hera Ledro is...well, he's impressed by Felldoh, but still is rather bored with the fight.

Hera, You sorta misread the post ^^

You react to an attack with the scythe that never happened ^^

Here is the end of my post

As the spears cleared his body, he dashed forwards and launched a kick towards Felldoh's body.
Note the lack of the scythe ^^

Ill await an edit ^^

Ill take that as a compliment, and I'm sure Hera does as well ^^

So, when Hera gets to fixin' the post, I'll get the fight moving ^^

:omg:

I BLAME MY WORK! Tim Horton's is driving me insane!

>_> <_<

GAWD! I can't believe I misread that!

:omg:

Alright, I've editted it. I really didn't have to change much, just change a few words here, add a few there, and it was done.

Heh, its ok. We all make mistakes.
Now that that is done. Ill get to replying.,

NOTE
I'm having some connection issues, so I MIGHT double post, if I do that, the posts will be identical, just delete one of them.
That goes for the RP, as well as the discussion.
