The Paths of Tragedy-RP Discussion Thread

My bio is in my sig just find the page Hejaloki is on. I plan on being in the town before You and the other two people.

Mayor Edit Added:

Julius Argexis/RP said:
Before leaving, Cairn noticed a strange person approaching him. The man introduced himself as "Jake", and was congratulating Cairn and Gade for their battle. Cairn was curious about this man, obviously he had never met him before.

"My name is Sir Cairn Crey Rosencrant. It has been an honor to meet you. Sorry if I am hasty, there are some matters that I must attend to. If you wish to speak more, come by the Inn. I shall be waiting."

Cairn bowed formally and then he and Gade entered the bar once again.

Sorry Hera :P

Hey Julius, I was wondering if I could use my character from ToFFF as an NPC. I want to check before I post again in case I want to include him.

Lulz @ invitation.

I can't commit to anything more than I already have, sorry. One RP and administrating a message board is more than enough for mere mortals such as I. :monster:

Julius, did you ignore my first post? my character was clearly introducing himself to Cairn and the others, and you completely ignored my character.

Sorry Arthvader, but I am splitting myselve in four different "Julius"....

I'll edit that later.

Where is your post?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. I edited my last post, check it out. As a side note, I shall not post until Arthvader makes his post.

Wylliam returned to his camp just outside the city where he planned to spend the night, as opposed to one of the many inns within the city. It wasn't that he was cheap; quite the opposite really. His trip into town had, in fact, so depleted his money purse, that he simply couldn't afford the nightly fare. Wylliam dropped all of his new clothes into his travel trunk and sighed. He was, in a way, uncomfortable being a uni-partisan mercenary, but it seemed the quickest way to end the Aldabran Empire's bloody ambitions. So, he allowed himself to be contracted exclusively by Seseu, pledging to wield his spear only for the Seseuan cause. "Of course," Wylliam assured himself, smiling, "that is only if the Seseuan cause remains one of self preservation." Wylliam walked back out of the tent and looked at the horizon. There was still time before sundown. He decided to return to the eventful bar to pass the time. "Only this time," he chuckled, returning to the tent, "I'm taking my spear."

It was dark by the time Wylliam thought it was finally time to return to camp. However, as he walked toward the town gate, he noticed out of the corner of his eye a shadow leaping from the clocktower. Suicide was common enough these days, but it still made Wylliam uneasy to see the plummeting figure. His unease metamorphed into confusion as he saw the shadow land and roof hop through the town. An interesting end to an interesting day, he thought, leaping in the direction the shadow appeared to be heading.

"Sheesh, this guy's quick," he grumbled, still in his pursuit. Wylliam had prided himself in his ability to leap higher and faster than any man, and yet here was this shadow with whom he was having to go all out just to keep pace. Finally coming within hailing distance, he called out, "Hey, hold up! I'm getting tired, and I want some answers!" Like, how do you leap 50 stories and live, he thought to himself. His ego was becoming very sensitive.

Okay, I got a bit confused. This edit should clear up the problem. In case you can't tell, Hera, I'm chasing after Jake.

Ok, I have to admit, I have been lazy on ht reading.
If it where not for Arth, I might not even hale posted today.

So, being in a lazy phase, I might be shady on some details. ^^

Ok, to speed things up I'll post a brief summary of what we could do:
-We go to the city of Palacious and try to get a meeting, yet they refuse to grant one and we are forced to get in contact with the king by other means.

-After that, the city is attacked and half of it is set in flames. We are caught in the middle of the turmoil, ending up trying to fight to get out of there.

-It is uncertain, if it was truly the Empire that attacked the city, some believe it was a third party, someone pulling the strings of a few puppets from the dark to ignite a full scale massacre between the already conflictive Seseu and Aldabra.

-We barely escape the city, and decide that our best option is to infiltrate the Aldabran Region, and travel to the Imperial City....

-Julius (character) has an encounter with Cairn, but mistaking him for an enemy, attacks him but it's forced to flee due that his injuries are not fully healed.

Important Info:
-Maximilian does remember Jake from their previous encounter at the entrance of the forest. For future reference, check the RP Maximilian Vs Jake, hosted by Hera Ledro/Felldoh ;)

Julius, just wondering but what should I do regarding a possible rp fight (not to the death) between Damian(?) and Raven against Cain. Since I doubt Cain would meet you at any point I don't know what to do with such an encounter without overpowering one side or the other.

Should I just try and wound Cain sufficiently enough to make him escape, or have Cain toy with Raven until he leaves. Or do I simply avoid him completely?

Being the first time I have rp fought against my own character I don't want to start breaking rules accidentally.

Well if it's two against one when you will have the upper hand, but remember that Cairn doesn't travels alone, his friend Gade and also Jonad and Arthvader will go with him.

If you RP against yourself, try to make the battle as even as possible without overpowering one side.

Yes, that's what I am worried about, I have to ensure that I keep effects in the equasion and certain advantages that both parties have. Such as:

Cain has an immensely strong demon form focusing on brute strength.

Raven's demon form has strong magical and physical attacks and holds the elemental power of ice.

Damian is currently unconcious, but should he arise in time he can use his elemental magic to turn the tide, and possibly summon Odin to aid the fight.

Cain has an entire army he can call upon should he encounter difficulty, but considering his pride he may do little more than retreat.

Among others, but I'll probably leave this at one side fleeing, but should it arise, can Cain be permitted to have minimal destruction on Vaid? I can imagine Cain using a lot of rushing attacks and charging attacks.

Well if you attack Vaid, you first must get pass the mountain path, but since the empire controls the fortress in there, they won't have much problem. Also the only way to attack Vaid would be by sea, since by land they would have to take on the whole army and the cities nearby.

Considering Cain's ability to manipulate gravity however, these natural defenses would prove no trouble for Cain, the defending armies however would be the challenge, but should he defeat/evade them then he would end up reigning terror down on Vaid. Though some of his blast attacks may end up destroying parts of the armies anyway and ultimately lower the chance of injury.

And armies don't tend to look up so maybe they would only be alerted to Cain's presence once he is attacking Vaid.

That is what I was thinking of doing. On my next post I may start the attack. :)

And possibly arouse Damian, depending on the goings on, all he needs is a bit of warmth. Also, I just remembered something. In my bio Damian Delvo I have included two things (also stated in the SeeDs)

1. Level 3 spells (unlocked through the course of this rp)

2. Spellbooks (These increase the power of a select level of spell, as such only one level of spell will be amplified) Due to my character making no reference to having said spellbooks I'll get to aquiring them throughout the course of the rp.

EDIT: Should these not be allowed I can leave these absent from this rp.
