Julius Argexis/RP said:Before leaving, Cairn noticed a strange person approaching him. The man introduced himself as "Jake", and was congratulating Cairn and Gade for their battle. Cairn was curious about this man, obviously he had never met him before.
"My name is Sir Cairn Crey Rosencrant. It has been an honor to meet you. Sorry if I am hasty, there are some matters that I must attend to. If you wish to speak more, come by the Inn. I shall be waiting."
Cairn bowed formally and then he and Gade entered the bar once again.
Wylliam returned to his camp just outside the city where he planned to spend the night, as opposed to one of the many inns within the city. It wasn't that he was cheap; quite the opposite really. His trip into town had, in fact, so depleted his money purse, that he simply couldn't afford the nightly fare. Wylliam dropped all of his new clothes into his travel trunk and sighed. He was, in a way, uncomfortable being a uni-partisan mercenary, but it seemed the quickest way to end the Aldabran Empire's bloody ambitions. So, he allowed himself to be contracted exclusively by Seseu, pledging to wield his spear only for the Seseuan cause. "Of course," Wylliam assured himself, smiling, "that is only if the Seseuan cause remains one of self preservation." Wylliam walked back out of the tent and looked at the horizon. There was still time before sundown. He decided to return to the eventful bar to pass the time. "Only this time," he chuckled, returning to the tent, "I'm taking my spear."
It was dark by the time Wylliam thought it was finally time to return to camp. However, as he walked toward the town gate, he noticed out of the corner of his eye a shadow leaping from the clocktower. Suicide was common enough these days, but it still made Wylliam uneasy to see the plummeting figure. His unease metamorphed into confusion as he saw the shadow land and roof hop through the town. An interesting end to an interesting day, he thought, leaping in the direction the shadow appeared to be heading.
"Sheesh, this guy's quick," he grumbled, still in his pursuit. Wylliam had prided himself in his ability to leap higher and faster than any man, and yet here was this shadow with whom he was having to go all out just to keep pace. Finally coming within hailing distance, he called out, "Hey, hold up! I'm getting tired, and I want some answers!" Like, how do you leap 50 stories and live, he thought to himself. His ego was becoming very sensitive.
