I LOVE ACCENTS!!!! :P

So I decided to start a club dedicated to the worship of all the fantastic accents out there. Come here to discuss which ones make you giggle, make you melt *melts* or which ones are incredibly irritating.

Y'all already know about a few of my favourite accents- Scottish being my total favourite at the moment. I also love Welsh, German, Somerset, Geordie, Jamaican, American and my home accent, Yorkshire :wacky:

I do find Scouse a bit difficult on the ears though, though I still like the people so don't shoot me!!!!! *_*

I have a strong Middlesbrough and Mackem (Sunderland) influence on my accent...however the heck I've managed to get both of them :wacky:

The Geordie accent ALWAYS crack me up... yee knaa the ones whee taak leik this... well it never fails to impress.
But the Portugúese and Spanish accents are where it's at, German...well, 'tis a scary language :panic:

I love that whole "old farmer" thing, it gives me the giggles. I did once know a guy with that accent, I couldn't leave him alone over it :confused:

Forgot about those Spanish/Portugese. I find the Hispanic American way of talking hilarious, makes you wonder what Spanish people think of it!! People who come from the Bronx, it's so funny, though not very hawt :P

So are you guys joining my club? *puppy dog eyes*
 
There was this girl once who had an obsession with my accent. but every time I tried to hid it, it just got worse. :confused:

I couldn't say if anyone loves my accent. A few people have said they like it but I've never really thought about it to be honest :wacky:

Anyway sign me up, I love the Irish & Scottish accents.....phwoar, and like whatever that posh English accent that Anthony Stewart Head has, that's pretty sexy aswel

Not a fan of Scouse either, my friend loves it though, she thinks its well sexy, I fail to see the attraction there xD
 
Haha, I'll join. :monster: I have a Scottish accent meself. :wacky: Being Scottish and all...

I love Irish accents, they make me giggle. x) And those posh English accents like Colin Firth and whatnot. o_o I have trouble understanding most English accents actually and I usually just sit there laughing at them when I talk to people. :wacky: Like my geography teacher is from Portsmouth and it would crack me up whenever she said 'Birth rate' or 'Baby boom'. XD

Welsh accents are so hawt, like Rhys Ifans >_> And at this uni convention thingy I was at, the guy I was talking to had the most amazing Welsh accent ever, I kept asking him loads of questions about the uni so he would keep talking. XD
 
Accents...

Mine sounds quite odd, I guess. You can tell that I'm English, just, but my accent is quite neutral.

As for the sort of accents I like in a girl well, I like French, Swiss, German, Scandinavian, Russian, some typical USA accents, some southern USA, Italian, Canadian, Chinese, Japanese. I'm not too fond of alot of the local dialect here though. Other places in England, maybe. :monster:
 
Even though I'm Irish my accent is strangely American. Myself I love Jamaican and Welsh.
I've heard a Spanish girl sing "Over the rainbow" on X Factor in her own accent. That was funny :lol:
 
I'm pretty sure I inspired this ^_^

So I go CRAZY for Scottish accents. I can't watch repeats of Stargate Atlantis anymore because I go crazy over Dr. Beckett's accent, it's so hawt xD If someone with a Scottish accent came over to me and started talking, I would melt!

Other accents I love are Irish, Russian, French, Jamaican, and Australian, mostly the women though. Lucy Lawless has a HOT Aussie accent.

Wow people say you have a Yorks accent, Bam? I know in some parts over the Pennines it can sound similar to Yorks, but weird since the Manc accent is so distinctive. Another favourite of mine btw ^^

Oooohh Chinese and Japanese....they kinda tickle me :wacky:

I used to live in Oldham so its a typical oldham accent really, but according to other people not from my neck of the woods they think Im from Yorkshire :gasp:
 
Irish accents are hawt. Very. And Scottish, but those aggressive ones make me laugh right in the face of whoever. xD

Really thick Scouse accents go right through me, especially female ones. They make me want to punch things.
Australian ones are surprisingly infectious. I was there for a couple of weeks once, and by the end I was talking with an accent. xD

I had a Bansley accent for a short time, which is really thick Yorkshire with "thee" and "tha", quite annoying really. But most of my life I've lived in Leeds where it's not so bad.
 
I have never lost my accent, I have lived round these parts for about 15 years or so and its just an impossible accent to shake off, if people spend long enough time in my company they end up sliding in an out of my accent :wacky:

I think it's 'cause it's a 'lazy' accent or
something xD
 
omg Am I the only American who wants to join this? :wacky: I LOVE accents. I love hearing people speak with them. (especially guys :nudge:s Virgil) You can totally add me in on this. <3 I love French, Australian, English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish and some Southern US accents as well. :neomon:

Russian....hoo hoo hoo I love that one. It's another like the German one that sounds really harsh but sexy at the same time :gasp:

Aussie accent!!! Can't help but smile when I hear that one, it makes me think of being little and watching Neighbours and Home And Away, awwww the memories :)

Can't help but chuckle when I hear a southern US accent, although the more hillbillyish ones can be a bit annoying, mostly it's just a laid-back quirky accent area. I love the more well known American accent Chi, can't help but find that one hawt ;)
 
Ooooh Russian is another hawt one!

Haha, when I say Southern, I don't literally mean like 'hillbilly' accents, but more of the smooth-flowing, sexy southern speak. I dunno what it is, but I LOVE it.

I absolutely love Welsh and English as well :wacky: Those accents are sexy and total turn-ons for me.

Haha just the regular, American accent? I'd fall in that category.:neomon:
