The "Man I Love Your Accent!!" Club

Whoa.......sooooooooooooo many more accents to think about!!!! *has brain overload* :gasp:

Indian accent would be really cool if I hadn't heard so much of it, to the point where it now drives me insane (damn you tech support people)

I would like to know more about the Eastern European accents like yours Cherri, and hope everything goes well with the speech therapist. I have to go because I have a slight stammer, so I know how you feel ^^

New members Cherri and Cerridwen?

2. British Accent - This accent I love the most, for it sounds very sexy and clear. As soon as I get sent to England for high school, I will finally be using the British accent to communicate clearly with other British people.

4. Chinese Accent - This accent I fairly like, for it complies within its native language fairly. I use it not to make fun of the accent and language of Chinese people, but to translate some Chinese symbols.

Oh yes, I plan on going to England and smuggling one of them sexy British guys back home. :wacky:

The Chinese? I like them, but in a "You're so cute, you use chopsticks!" kinda way. One Chinese tourist came here and wanted to eat some fried rice. He said, "Can ah haf da flaaay laaay?" :wacky:

Welcome Kaidaku ^^

I remember being over there in China and thinking exactly the same way, Iris. My penfriend's English really sucked, and I could only speak a couple of words of Mandarin, I don't know how we got on but luckily we did >_<

All the crossover language accents I ever hear are from football interviews :wacky:

I've heard Tagalog is supposedly pretty damn sexy...and after listening to it myself I would agree. I've never heard a Chinese accent apart from on the films, but it didn't really stike me as I love or hate your accent :wacky:

put me down too. my boyfriend is from south carolina and his accent is so flipping sexy lol

OI don't think I have an accent, but my english is really stiff. I pronounce words too clearly. And I can't do slang. :wacky:
Haha, I'm the same. :wacky: People round here always seem to think I'm English just because I'm well-spoken. <_< Nevermind the fact that I have a Scottish accent, but I don't speak in slang or anything, it just sounds wronnnnnnnnng coming from me. XD

Welcome SorceressEdea7 and Cerridwen ^^

Man I hope if one day in my sad life :-)P) I find a boyf, he has a sexy accent (prays).

I do find it interesting how mannerisms have an effect on accents, like Debbie mentioned, some people use cultural slang or local dialect slang, and some others don't, which can make people with the same base accent sound different to each other. I sound quite different to my mum, because I'm a little bit better spoken aswell. If only I could get over the stammering....:wacky:

Americans changed a lot of words -__- Instead of departure they say take off. Nevertheless, their accent is so soft and clear I think.

Why yes, yes it is. :wacky: Comment hugged. Hurrah for the Filipina 'binibinis'.

Are you from the home counties by any chance?

I don't think so. I've lived in the Philippines my whole life.
I don't know why I can't..

I tried to do slang, but I sound like a duck. -__-

My mom grew up in Queens, NY and she has a slight accent. It's not strong either, but sometimes she extends words with an "aw" sound (like sauce or dog), so they sound more like...well, I honestly don't know how to explain any more, but it's starting to rub off on me. Cerri might know what I'm talking about.
