I am not crazy about making it into a standium. This will be the area where actual wars are faught. I guess we could have a dueling area as well.
 
In which case, investigating into names which relate to broad, open lands would be better. The Calm Lands, for example.


Nothing's springing to mind, but I'll look into some LOTR based names. There's a lot of good locations in those books.
 
I'd rather Meridian be used for a city of sorts, honestly. It's all well and good making reference to a great game, but it's not very fitting. :wacky:
 
I was even thinking of some possible historic names. I am trying to think of some good names of places that were hosts to a battle or a skirmish. My head is blank right now.
 
Ridorana Cataract... I like that Coliseum area where you fight Yiazmat. Plus it's a pretty big area and the lighthouse is absolutely monstrous.
 
Make it have 100 floors literally. :monster:

Gabranth and Dr Cid/Famfrit would be the bosses at the top. ^_^

Adding the judges to the storyline wouldn't seem like a bad idea.
 
Gab, we are discussing the PvP battle and war area. It is not going to be 100 floors. Unless, the idea that Julius has mentioned turns into part of the story. The PvP area will not connect to the rest of the game. For the obvious reason that I am making the teaming number max very high. Which I do not want connnected to an area that people may fight monsters.

That would really suck, a hundred floors.... I'm going to have to pass on that Julius.... I mean, I can barely stand the 3 halls thing in the hall of warriors and hall of mages.... Past and present.....
 
You're not very strong then. I can take many fights in a row. Bring potions and you should be able to last a long time. And I'm sure Julius would put a break in every 5 floors or so. And then every 10th floor should be on the map.

Yes, because I am not that evil. I've thought of adding an Inn, or healing station every 10 levels as well as a potion shop. Of course, every 20 levels we would have a boss. The monsters strategies would be different every 10 levels, differing between high encounters, low encounters, high str, high def, etc.

The areas will be visible every 20 levels, since there's an Inn between those two and a potion shop. Of course, this could be done after the main storyline is finished, so we have enough time for suggestions.

Does it sounds fair?
 
But going through 10 levels is pretty harsh don't you think? And if you add any Crimson Giant wannabes in there I'll slap you.
 
hmm . . . but that would be an advantage for the players unless u set a minimum level
