The Divided Factions {RP}

Koffin looked over at Rene as they continued walking when Rene asked to know a little bit about Koffin... Koffin laughed a little bit "Well lets see... I like long walks in gross sewers while being covered in shit..." There was a little awkward silence and then Koffin broke it by saying "My kind of humor" with a smile.

Koffin then got more serious when he started talking again "Seriously though, I am just another man, looking for a better tomorrow. Yeah I know it sounds cheesey and all but peace and understanding is what my ambitions are..." Koffin looked down at his feet and started talking some more "Its just such a shame how the world just can't get along... So I spend my days searching for answers..."

Koffin looked back up to Rene and asked "How 'bout you? What about yourself?"

Hydra was still in the South sector, viewing everything from the tower. Apparently, only a few breakouts had happened there, so Hydra didn't have any action at all: other units were already stopping the breakouts. Well, it seems that I don't have much to do here, which means that Rene's having all the libs there... wait! what's that? Hydra's eagle vision helped him spot a lone Vast girl running for her life, being chased by a group of libs.

Poor girl, I better get there before anything happens...

With this on his head, Hydra rushed towards the spot he had spotted them. Once there, he saw them, near a dark alley. The girl had stopped running: she was breathless and had nowhere to run. However, the libs hadn't killed her yet, they were trying to enjoy the event before ending it.

Due to this, Hydra was able to sneak up behind them and, after stunning their leader, made the others withdraw from the scene.

"Are you hurt? Did they do anything to you?"

"Nn...no, I'm ff...fine. Th...thanks."

With this, the girl ran away.

Well, let's see what's going on over there...

"Rene? You copy? What's your status report?"

"Hmm..." Rene thought for a few moments "Not much to say to be real honest, I'm a captain of the Exiles, I like pepperoni pizza, and my best friend is a smart ass SOB. Heh you met him earlier, we call him Hydra even though his name is Harry."

"Rene? You copy? What's your status report?"

"Speak of the devil..." Rene put a finger to his ear and spoke "Not much man, just walking through the sewers like any other day, we're about 2 and a half clicks to the edge of Slum Town. How's it goin' upstairs?"

After clearing the area in front of Skype Tower and arresting the down men, Henrietta decided to get her squad to cut through the middle of the section to a group that had been surrounded. From the comm chatter, it seem like a group of 4 officers didn't get to meet up with the other police and had to barricade themselves inside a building. Rene, come in, Rene. Things seem to be getting a little hectic up here. Is it possible to draw some officers from other sections that don't need them?

Stephen made his way throught the City, jumping Bins and benches with ease. he reached the area where the shooting took part earlier in the day, and took note of the carnage still being around. "Man, this place is a mess" he announced as he slowed his run to a walk as to not raise suspition.

"Here? It's been the most lightly affected area. You may withdraw officers to the northern section and/or the slums, but leave at least some here... You know, this might be part of their strategy: diversionary attacks in other sections to drive all squads away, and then a main strike to the least protected area. However, analyzing how hectic things are, there's only a 36.7% probability that they do intend to strike in the south sector, but still, it's higher than normal, so I'll keep a couple of squads here." Hydra tried to say things as simple as possible, but he decided to rephrase everything. While he was doing so, Hydra received a transmission from Henrietta which was actually directed to Rene.

Rene, come in, Rene. Things seem to be getting a little hectic up here. Is it possible to draw some officers from other sections that don't need them?

"Hydra here, message copied. I have spare units here, I'll send them over and forward the data to Rene. By the way, his frequency is one click higher."

With this, Hydra issued the command to all but three patrols, the ones he knew would hold up perfectly by themselves, to go to the Northern section and assist Henrietta. After receiving her confirmation, Hydra contacted Rene to inform him of the events.

"Rene, I've retired all but three squads from the Southern sector, you know which squads I've picked to stay here. Hen's having hell over there. You should take some of the squads I sent if you need reinforcements."

With this, Hydra returned to the spot in the tower, a spot that gave him multiple advantages, along which were both stealth and a broad view.

When Al awoke again, he sat up and looked around, the police was apparently taking care of things here in the Central sector, but it looked like they were heading northward, as if there was some danger at that direction. "I hate to go above the law, but it looks like there is trouble on the horizon." With that, Al got up and started to head up a building. Once up there, he started shadowing the police, using his stealth skills to not raise suspicion.

"Harry!" Rene hissed, he only ever called him Harry when he was annoyed, he and Koffin was still walking along the sewers, keeping themselves hidden at all costs. "Send any units to Hen! We're doing this discreetly, remember?" The pair had arrived at a T-Junction and suddenly a loud bang was heard.

"See now, that's something we should run from!" Rene shouted as several soldiers appeared at the left end of the junction and opened fire. "Shit, we need to go that way as well..." He grabbed Koffin by the shirt and dragged him away from the soldiers. "We can't fight now, we gotta somehow get around 'em! Without killing them!"

Koffin looked around trying to gather ideas but... it was the sewers... very limited sources.... and the soldiers couldn't be killed... this was going to be very difficult.

Koffin looked at Rene and asked "Nothing is coming to mind, you have any ideas?"

Then Koffin came to a realization that the sewer waters were up to their thighs, it would be possible for them to get past them by going under water but, that shit was so nasty Koffin didn't even want to think about it... but there was a chance it could work...

"Rene... How long can you hold your breathe?" Koffin said...

"I have a better plan, but you ain't gonna like it!" Rene shouted as bullets continued to zip past. The pair turned the corner and stopped for a brief moment to gain their breath. He quickly looked around and spotted what he was looking for. Ahead of them by about 50 meters was a vent, hopefully it should lead downwards but if not... they were screwed. Before placing their lives at major risk anyway he had to ask Koffin.

"Ever heard of the Lower Sewers?"

"Hmmm I think I like whatever the lower sewers is better then swimming in shit" Koffin said to Rene whilst he started running towards the vent... It wasn't a time to hang around and think about the situation... "Hey hurry up Rene! You wanna get shot again in the same day!?" Koffin said with a little laugh as he continued to run towards the vent.

When Koffin got to the vent he looked back to Rene and said "And no I have never herd of the lower sewers, but i'm willing to take my chances so hurry the hell up!"

"Good! Because I was gonna go anyway!" Rene shouted as he zoomed past Koffin and slid along the ground, he smashed his feet into the vent's grate and smashed right through it. The second he was in the vent he shouted in surprise. His entire weight suddenly fell downwards and he landed on his back on the hard concrete below. He heard the distinct crackle in his ear and cursed. He was in a dead area now. He took out the earpiece and rolled out of the way, making sure Koffin didnt land on him. He put the earpiece in his pocket and finally stood up, he brushed himself free on the dirt he had accumulated and finally looked up.

"Fuuuuuuck!" Rene shouted as a large, green lizard stood in front of him. Rene rolled out of the way just as the beast threw it's tongue out, it barely missed him, just clipping his clothes and cutting right through them. Rene immediately took out his gun and fired it at the beast. The first few shots simply bounced of the lizards hard skin, making Rene curse. He clicked a button on the side of the BladeGun and it morphed into a one-handed blade. There was a slight hum as the side away from Rene lit a light blue.

"Bring it on Lizzy!" Rene taunted holding the blade.

Hydra heard Rene's response, noticing his tone, and the fact that he had been called Harry, and not Hydra.

"Yeah, yeah, okay. All units are being sent over there then... However, don't hold me responsible if anything happens here."

Hydra was annoyed at this, Rene was ignoring what he had to say, yet he would just have to comply. Well, I seriously need to make sure nothing happens here... Rene'll probably just push it over to me... At least I've got the right equipment against anything that happens here... And I also have... This...

Hydra was now taking something out of his pocket, it were a couple of stunning grenades, this would help if any situation was beyond control. As he stored them again, Hydra resumed the scanning of the South sector.

Koffin ran to the whole after Rene had fallen... He notice that Rene yelled a profanity at the top of his lungs and then after a bit of scuffling Koffin also herd a few gunshots being fired but they weren't ones from behind them, they came from the whole... Something was going on down there.

Koffin had to act now if he was going to help, so he peared down the whole, and to his surprise he saw some sort of lizard beast attacking Rene, Holy Shit! Koffin thought and with that he acted quickly, they couldn't waste anymore time, this needed to be handled quickly...

Koffin then jumped down the whole and landed on the lizard beast knocking its face onto the floor, although Koffin had pushed it to the ground, the landing was not soft by any means, its skin was tough and when Koffin landed on it it sent a shock of pain up his legs.... "Fuck that hurt!" Koffin said as he grabbed his legs whilst standing on the beast, this whole action only angered the monster further and thus it smacked Koffin with its tail knocking him to the floor...

Koffin grasped his back in pain as he brought himself back to his feet right next to Rene... Koffin looked over to Rene and asked "What in god's name is that?" Koffin let go of his back and took up a fighting position so that he would be ready for the monsters next move...

"If you thought the monsters up top were bad, welcome to the lower sewers mate!" Rene shouted as he jumped backwards to avoid a swipe from the beast. As he parried the blow from the lizard he charged forwards, his blade outstretched and thrust it into the hide of the beast. The swords energy blade cut through the hide easily and the beast screamed in agony. Rene held the trigger on his blade and smirked, it was over. the sword sent a huge shock wave from it's blue end and the beast was instantly cut in half.

The two pieces writhed in agony as it finally joined the land of the dead. Rene morphed his blade back into it's gun form and holstered it. "Trust me, that one was just a little bastard, let's hope we don't bump into the dad, or even worse: The mom." He smirked at Koffin and then noticed a couple of bodies in the far corner.

"What the...?" Rene muttered as he walked towards them. He kicked the body onto it's back and noticed they were Vast. "Musta run down here to get away, didn't expect the monsters to be so tough..." He noticed their equipment and observed it.

"Here take this." Rene said, picking up a short sword, a hand gun and gave them to him. "We'll definately gonna run into more monsters, so let's try and find a way outta here."

Stephen made his way throught the annihiated Streets. he looked around in dishust, the rioting was taring the city appart from the inside. It was scary how much destruction two bullets could do to a civilized place. "I hate this" he muttered as he walked down a back alley and began running again. he jumped onto a large dumpster and then up onto a the fire escape of one of the buildings.

Stephen powered his way up to the roof, taking 3 steps at a time. after a matter of minutes he arrived at the roof and looked out over the vast emptyness. "The city will lie in ruins if i cant do anything" he muttered as he ran across the rooftops.

((I'm just gonna say that the short sword is old style kind steel... Nothing special like laser sword like yours, lol it will make things more fun for me. Also i will say the handgun is just regular Colt or something along those lines right?))

Koffin watched as the monster was sliced from his ass to his chopes right in half, that gunblade type weapon of Rene's sure did help them both out right then... Koffin was still left without a weapon however intil Rene discovered a couple of Vast corpses, which he found a couple of weapons on... The first weapon Rene took and handed to Koffin was an old fashioned midevil era sword yet it was definetly crafted in todays time by all means, it was nothing more than a novelty. Still the blade was crafted finely with folded steel and the blade wasn't very dull either, it wasn't as good as a laser sword by any means, but it would provide for now.

The other weapon Rene tossed to Koffin. It was a standard sized pistol, nothing very special about it at all, it was a light which was a good thing for Koffin's aim but that could also hinder the weapon easily broken... The Vast man must have fired off some shots because there wasn't many shots left at all... Koffin would have to be wise with his shots.

Koffin then looked over to Rene after he equiped himself and stated "Thanks, this should suffice for now, but I wouldn't test the limits of these weapons too much... So lets hurry the hell up and get out of here."... Koffin then followed beside Rene as they tried to get the hell out of where they were.

Zeria shook her head, standing up on a building.

"This is saddening...a city torn apart...and war renewed...by the death of a ruler..."

She sighed, stretching.

"And when I thought there would finally be peace too..."

Zeria gazed up at the sky, lost in thought for a moment, before shaking her head again and darting off. She was going to figure this out. No Vast in their right mind would kill someone and shatter the already fragile peace attempt in place, and she wanted to know who had gotten a Vast to murder that peace with 2 simple bullets...

It was indeed bad. The northern section seemed to be hit the hardest in the city by the riots. Fires raged through the streets and houses while fights of all sort erupted throughout the sector. Ma'am! The reinforcements from the Southern sector has arrived. Perfect. Initiate the plan. A string of phonetics echoed through every earpiece of every officer in the Northern Sector, the signal to start the operation. All police who were in defence launched out at the major sections under threat. Each team launched lightning fast pincer attacks simultaneously, using speed and surprise to subdue the rioters. The arrested rioters would be cleaned up by second line officers. Henrietta had hoped that at least the law could take back half of the section before needing to regroup and consolidate their gains. Ma'am. All is proceeding as planned except for area B3. Officers there are receiving extremely violent resistance. Right. We would head over there. That section is important as it is in the middle. Our squad will push right through the middle and be the apex for the other advances. Henrietta gathered the remaining officers in the nearby vicinity, counting up to 30 and head straight forward to B3.

Alberto continued to shadow the police as they headed towards the north, using the buildings and his stealth skills from his military service to avoid detection from the police. Eventually he made it to the area known as B3, where the riot was at it's worst. "So this is the cost to a failed peace. Lamentable!!!" (Pitiful) Alberto jumped down towards an injured police officer and said, "I'm here to help, come on, I'll carry you." Carrying the police officer in a fireman's carry, he tried to make his way out of the crowd, but was utterly surrounded by some rioters, most of them out for blood.
