That's a great rant but I think Red Fox knows what he wants so let's just leave him thinking the way he is. We'll beat him either way.

Yeah, you most likely will ^^
And don't worry I will still accept him as a Mage in the Guild.
Though, he will most likely end up as a battle mage
 
Yea, I think we'll have a good match because magic is stronger than melee. I still think that our numbers will win though. Maybe next time you'll have a better force ^^
 
Also, my SPD sucks.
I have to lvl that as I lvl myself later on.
but yeah, even if we cut down on the members.
so far, the guild is myself, ans Dani
(since no one have signed up yet)

so. it is me, and a lvl 15 (ATM).
So. we fucked ^^

and Magic have the advantage to bypass DEF. as well as armor yes.
but, I don't have any spells that can do more damage then 200 a turn.
and a warrior, with enough adrenaline, and skills, can do 600+, Especially with dual wield.

so. You would win anyway.
 
You can do 500 a turn with Lantern, if you have the right MAG. It adds up to 1.5K damage total.

yeah, but that is my pet that has.
And he is specked as a warrior, so he has poor MAG.
even if I throw Cascara on him. It won't do too god.

Also, add the fact that I don't have enough STR to use better armor.

so. Im fairly sure the warriors will win this one.
 
Well, the next area have some cool stuff for MAGE only. Hopefully that will help your situation. Although the warriors have some help too, I think the next area will be more balanced for the MAGE. Plus Osmose is back. But only Mage will get it. It took great thought. But I felt that was a fair decision. Since Warriors really do not rely as much on magic.
 
Me pet does 500 per turn which evens out to 1500 per cast and If I cast Fira by getting 2 turns in a row then a monster can take 700 damage per turn easy. Plus if my pet goes 2 then I go I can do 900 per turn and that's a good 2700 per round. That's enough to kill any player.

Yeah, this is true, but it takes a lot of MAG DEF to survive that, and even if you have a good one, The sheer damage will kill most.

Generally.
In the beginning, a lot of us though that mages where more powerfull, this might have been the thing at lower lvl's.
but now that people are becoming stronger, the warrior class does have rather good chances.
since they only need STR, DEx and SPD to take down almost any mage.

Due to the fact ,that since mages don't have enough STR, we don't have the best armors eighter.
Also. the warriors can dual wield, thus get a good extra damage source, and if you add combat attacks, you get an even bigger damage.
So. you actually get the combat skill on 2 hits, at the same time.
so, if you enchant the weapons with Flare.
There is a slight chance that that will hit as well.
And even if the chance is utterly small, the mage might get hit my BOTH flares at the same round.
Also, if you add the fact that the warrior might use the adrenaline attack on that, as well as Berserk.

you don't need to be smart to know that this is a small chance of all this happening at teh same time,
BUT, if it does, that alone cal fell almost any player.

Mages, what ca we do.
So far, the strongest 1 turn damage I am able to do now, is 200 since that is what flare, and blizzara is limited to.
Also, of I make Tonberry a mage, he can get 500 a turn. Max.

so. warriors have superior damage output compared to a mage.
This off course, is counting the SINGLE turn damage output.
thus, I don't count the fact that the enchant of flare, goes over several rounds as well.
 
Wow... such a thorough post... I guess you're right on all of that and the mods should have been more consistent with the strength of magic. I do, although, believe that after spells like Flare and Warp come out again Mages will be better.

That's when I'll convert.

also, this makes ti so that you can not convert.

THIS, is the things that will balance the game.
even if it SHOULD have been put in since the beginning.
it gets jammed in now instead ^^
 
well mages if really slow will get screwed against a well made warrior. also if the warrior is made good enough then even a perfict mage can't stand against him only warriors.
take me as an example so far only dt has managed to keep me beaten.

A good "made" warrior.
Even a "perfect" mage cant do much against one.
 
Yes, It's true. I think they did the right thing letting us wait till now to choose so we can decide which we like more and the warriors get the basic and necessary spells. How many warriors can actually fight without Berserk and Haste? So far only D'lain and none of us could fight without Cura.
 
off course, some spells will always be avalible, to make the so called palladins.

acually i am kinda thinking of getting arid of cura due to the fact my main man don't use it at all.
so if you get a total from it i don't use magic at all inless it i from my summon which is where the magic should come from.
