The Belkan War

OOC: possibly.....here's the pic, though I think that It's possible that there are some trees. Though i can't find them on the pic (between the snow and the rocks.)

IC: The Ustio fighter forces has located the bomber fleet coming towards it. They were guarded by escorts, but from how they were flying, John knew they were raw recruits. He fired 4 long-range missile at 4 targets, including a bomber airship, All of them were shot down. "First enemy bomber down." John said. His allies also fired some long range missiles. Some of them making their targets, damaging a bomber and the remaining 4 escorts, forcing them to retreat. John sighed, then said, "Let me take care of this." He then closed in on another bomber, and using his machine gun, damaged vital systems, bringing it down. "2nd enemy bomber down, stay sharp out there." The F-15C then blazed it's way through the remaining bombers. making sure they never came close to destroying the enemy base. "Mission accomplished, those forces retreating are gonna have a hard time trying to explain this to their bosses."

The female sniper in golden armour, whose name was Hera, apparently, extended her hand to Gabriel, saying,"Sargeant Major Hera Mitsuikumi of the 1st Osean Army. I am the ranking soldier here after our lieutenant got hit."

Startled, Gabriel managed to react with an outstretched hand to accept the handshake. "I'm Gabriel. A mercenary working together with John on this mission." Gabriel replied, introducing himself.

As he said that, an aeroplane took off behind him. Glancing over, he watched as the plane steadied itself to fly higher into the sky.

Hera shook it firmly as all military people do before letting go. The airfield seem secured, but one could never be too sure. Swapping AP rounds into her rifle, Hera left the safety off and motioned for the tropps to come over. Well, there is no use for us standing here in the open. Perhaps we can go over to the hangar and kick back for a while before our fly boy come back?

"Well, there is no use for us standing here in the open. Perhaps we can go over to the hangar and kick back for a while before our fly boy come back?" Hera said to her troops behind Gabriel.

Gabriel wasn't really sure if she was also speaking to him, but he decided he will simply follow her anyway since the plane was already out of sight. Turning back, he walked towards the hangar, deciding to relax as much as possible before the next mission, if he was to be receiving any more.

"You have permission to land" the air traffic controller said. With that, John landed his aircraft on the runway, in a decent fashion. "That was a good landing, I'll taxi you back into the hanger." After minutes of taxiing, John shut down the engines and climbed out of the cockpit, where he heads to the hanger with Gabriel and Hera. "The enemy is out of the picture, we stopped their attack."

The 6 that remained behind hunkered down in the hangar. The roar of the F-15C signalled the return of John. That was fast. The enemy is out of the picture, we stopped their attack. Hera gave a nod of relief. The most helpless thing in war is for infantry to be bombed. Well, our helos can't evac us for a while, so my men and i are here for a while. Since we were ordered to wait for further instructions, we can help you in what you need to do. So is there anything we can help with?

"I doubt it," John said, "The technicians and engineers should get this place running again." John sighed, "This is the second attack on Valais since the war started. Some crucial supplies like food and medicine are starting to run low. The Ustian military commanders are planning on opening a road between Allied Ustian territory and Osea, they just haven't decided on where to do it."

Typical. The army should have deciding all possible situations before hand. Now, we are stuck waiting for coordinates at places with no intel. All soldiers deserve their rant and raves. The four privates nodded in agreement. So i assume we are to head off and assist this operation as soon as tings are finalized? In her mind, she had hoped that that was not the case. She had 4 dead comrades near the hangar that required to be attended and her soldiers were running low on ammo. It was not the ideal situation to be heading off into an attack

Gabriel hadn't been paying much attention to the conversation between the two mercenaries, and by the time he decided to cut in to listen again he realized he was too far behind to understand anything.

Sighing, he looked out at the battlefield they were previously fighting on.

They also relayed a message from Osean military command. "They're sending a transport over to you, I assume it is for some major offensive the allies are having in the Great Lakes region.

OOC: is it ok for me to arrive like this?

The helicopter took off, as the airfield was now secure they could send in some help for the next mission.

Fayd was cleaning his rifle while listening to the helicopters blades swishing around and around, it was relaxing. It wasnt long before Fayd lit a cigarette and looked out the window. They had covered alot of ground. He could see the Hangar n the horizon and he just finished his cigarette as the helicopter landed. He walked over to a grl who was stood with a bunch of privates and said "Excuse me, i am supposed to report to the sargeant major, can you direct me to him?" He stood waiting for the girls reply, shifting the rilfes weight on his shoulder out of habit

While Hera began briefing the men on their new mission, another sniper approached from the chooper while supplies were being unloaded. "Excuse me, i am supposed to report to the sargeant major, can you direct me to him?" Apon hearing Fayd, hera turned to the newcomer. Hmm? The Sargeant Major? That is me. Name and rank, if you will.

((OOC: its army protocol to call even female commanding officers sir, so my character is trying not to be arrogant or disrespectful))
"YOU?!" Fayd gaped for a moment, sure that she was joking, it became apparant she wasnt and Fayd regained his composure quickly. He snapped to attention"Sorry maam, name and rank? Gunnery sargent Fayd Alazar, master marksman in the 9th brigade, maam" He finished with a salute

OOC: Uhh...last time I checked, Lieutenants outranked Sgt Major...., and army protocol dictates males as sir and females as maam.

OOC: correcto. My character is the highest ranking NCO. Yours is the lowest officer. So edit. My rank just seem impressive. Generally speaking, A SM rose through the ranks of an enlisted, hence is extremely experienced whereas a LT is a just graduate (in most cases). Most LT listen to a SM due to experience on the field, but since my character is a newbie. that doesnt happen.

Damn. Shoulda nade my char a higher rank!

OOC: still no rank. Master sniper isnt a rank. I need to know your rank since the one with the higher rank leads our OSean group. SPARTAN! Proceed with storyline!

Hera's eyes squinted as she heard his name. During administrative transferals, her female colleagues have beeen helpful intelling her who to look out for. Fayd Alazar, the battalion lady killer. The nickname did not impress her, but she did not judge him on that. He is known to be rather decent with a sniper, so she had no qualms with him. OKay )Insert rank here) Alazar. After we resupply, we are to hoof it over to the general direction of the great lake. i think there is some operation there organized. However, proper coordinates has not been sent to us, so for now, we stand by.

OOC: i know it isnt a rank, im still private, just a master sniper, i didnt know any ranks higher than private but lower than sargent major, im leaving you in charge lol

Fayd had been taking in the ssurroundings. wounded lay here and there and the dead too though much more numerous. Fayds eyes snapped back to the sargent major as she continued to speak. Fayd listened intently to her orders "Then our destination is the lake? Understood, maam" Fayd said with another salute this one quicker than the last one.
"Erm maam, wheres the suppies tent? i need to re-stock on rounds and rations maam" Fayd continued as he placed his arm by his side once more as he shifted the snipers weight again in nervousness, as he always did. it was like a tick he had developed

OOC: Really? lets be nice then. You can be a guunery sargeant. We call you Gunny for a nick.

I think the supplies unloaded from the chopper was placed in hangar three over there. Hera turned and pointed at a partially damaged hangar that sat no more than 200 metres from their position. She stood there, rooted to the spot for a second in thought. On second thought, all units, move over and resupply now. I want to see what we have left and what we can use.

((OOC: why thank you tipsy, that leaves you in command right?))

"Understood Maam" Fayd said saluting as she gave the order to re-supply. Fayd walked through the rubble, looking around at the destruction as he walked the 400 metres to hangar 3. He was ahead of most of the line and said to te man stationed there
"I need 10 boxes of sniper rounds and a campaign ration kit, along with a handgun and 5 magasines" the man replied "Yes Gunnery sargent" He said shuffling off to find what Fayd had requested. He turned around and saw an old friend. He was going to go talk to him later but now the man had returned with fayds requested articles.
"Thank you" Fayd said as he carried his bundle away from the queue and he sat on a large rock with it. He placed the bundle beside him and took off his kitbag. He took out what was left of his ration kit (half a chocolate bar and some bully beef).
Replacing it with the new ration kit he got a cigarette out and put it behind his ear. He ate the beef and some of the chocolate bar which he had snapped off. He put the rest away and took out the handgun from the bundle. He took out the clip and opened an ammunition box.
He took the cigarette and put it in his mouth, lighting it he took a drag then started putting the rounds into the clip. When this was done he placed it in a sidearm holster on his left side. He then took off his sniper rifle and put rounds into that.
He finished the cigarette and put his bag back on. He quickly located the sargent-major and walked over to her. As he got near her he snapped to attention and said "Gunnery-sargent Fayd Alazar reporting for duty, Fully re-supplied and ready for orders maam"
