While Tetsuya Nomura said Final Fantasy Agito XIII voice recording sessions will start after The 3rd Birthday, Agito isn’t the next game on Square Enix’s release list. Nomura said, over Twitter, there other unannounced games will be released first.

"There are several unannounced titles. These will go before Agito and Versus. Some have voice recording completed. Announcements will happen in Japan," Nomura affirmed.

This reminds me of a patent we found, registered to Tetsuya Nomura, for a puzzle RPG battle system. Square Enix, so far haven’t said anything about that idea.

Damn it can they just finish Final Fantasy Versus XIII and then work on these games? Bastards :hmph: I mean they should focus on one big game

I hope they aren't "big" releases so that Nomura can focus fully on developing FFXIII Versus, if they're relatively small then it'll mean that Nomura doesn't always have to be watching over the development process so it'll be quicker D;

You think that what happened to FFXIII.......?

He left it to a bunch of untried designers unsupervised for long periods of time and went to work on these "other" games? I dont think so FFXIII was shot in the arse before it was even a twinkle........etc etc.

Great games are made because of great people behind them not splitting there focus.

Versus has a lot to make up for IMO.

Toriyama and Kitase were the lead men who supervised the game, therefore, they are the people to blame for that.

Edit:Yeah thats who I meant............

Nomura has nothing to do with Final Fantasy XIII other than designing the characters. Toriyama and Kitase were the lead men who supervised the game, therefore, they are the people to blame for that.

Edit for the above edit: Okay. :lew:

Nomura should be taking precedence in Versus and Agito over everything else at the moment. Both were announced in 2006 and have been anticipated for over 4 years now and running. I would prefer them to finish up on those two games first before diverting attention to other things. With the Final Fantasy franchise's name not being in the best of light nowadays, it should be in Nomura's interests to give Versus his all. And he cannot do that if half a dozen games demand his attention simultaneously.

Still, I'm fascinated to see what they come up with. They have shown that they can create fascinating new IPs like The World Ends With You, based on what I heard.

FFVI??:woo:If not, then Nomura can smell the stink, because I don't care. Although... I do hope Versus and Agito get finished soon.

Surprise surprise :dave: The only thing I want to hear from them is when Versus is going to be released. The more titles they try and put out to make the cash money, the more lackin' they are in the wow factor...Don't get me wrong, XIII was ok but it could've been better. They just want to keep putting out the announcements about the ever prominent "other" titles that they have and use that attention to put out a small tidbit of info about the more popular titles like Versus to continue to keep people hoping it will come out and be interested in it....AFTER 4 YEARS. I'm not buying any of their "unannounced titles" until they release Versus. I don't really care what they are...if its not Versus I don't plan on purchasing it.

Nomura should definitely focus more on the huge titles, especially since XIII was not so good (haven't played it myself, but from what I've heard from friends it wasn't that great). The past 2 main final fantasy games have not been very good (XII wasn't a great game in my opinion) so I think with VS XIII they should really step up their game. I don't wanna see the FF series go down the toilet.
