[T] The Hideout

Well, the problem with Perfect World is that I warned everyone that I was just about burned out on it. I played it as long as I can. That's a problem with free MMO's, you're always, always, going to get burned out. :mokken:

I know.

It is what it is. Not everyone is gonna be like me and be able to play the same games for days and days at a time.

Haha, I wouldn't mind a 2D or sprite game y'know. Side Scroller or top shot, them games ya can never go wrong with. If it's fine with everyone else, I guess that could narrow down the search. I really ain't too fussed about it being 3D.

I'm sure we can find something that we can all play that I won't get burned out with. However, the last MMO I tried to get everyone playing failed because most of your computers wouldn't run it. :hmph:

Yeah, I think I remember that one. It looked like it could have been really awesome to play. Stupid shitty computers. :hmph:

If you mean RoM, that was my internet, not my computer. :monocle:

I like MMOs now that I've tried them though. :wacky: So whatever everyone else ends up playing, I'll probably be cool with. Just pass me a download link. :mokken:

I know, but you weren't the only one that couldn't play. :sad3: I was just using computers being shit as the general term here. :mokken:

as soon as FFXIV comes out, all of us will be spending the most of our time playing that, i am waiting for the PS3 version (sorry ringo) unless i can get a decent spec PC before its released :hmmm:

Not me. If it's anything like FFXI was, I'm not gonna waste my time with it.

Go right on ahead. :hmph:

Enjoy your dumbed down graphics, shitty control setup, shitty interface, and inability to do just about anything while the PC players are kicking your ass.

I'll be too busy playing Guild Wars II. :ryan:

as the master races MMO veteran I shall search far and wide for enjoyable MMO's for us all to play, im currently looking into DaoC, WAR, and a few others (however WAR is the monthly sub of doom, but they are doing tier 1 entirely free for twink battles which are a ton of fun) ill keep you updated on my snooping and findings.

So long as it's free, I don't care what you find. If anything involves me paying money for anything decent, no thanks.

Okay, I've found a few MMO's that seem interesting enough. However, each have problems. So, I'll just list them all below.

Runes of Magic: Problems = Most people here can't run it, or some have issues running it, whether they be internet related, etc.

Neosteam: Steampunk MMO: Problems = Region blocked, unconfirmed if there is a work around.

Mabinogi: Interesting little concept of a game, very detailed, interesting systems, NPC's remember you? O_O: Problems = Region blocked. However, there is a confirmed work around. (supposedly)

Ruins of War, AKA RYL, AKA ROW: Unique combat, old game, one of my first MMO's: Problems = Most of you are probably not going to be interested in the slightest.

Aika Online: 1000 vs 1000 PvP combat? Very interesting... Pet loli... More interesting.: Problems, none that I see so far. Save for forced class gender. :hmph:

Allods Online: Russian WoW... Not sure if want... I've heard both good and bad things about this.: Problems = I played the closed beta, it was... Unique, but I couldn't get into it much. Probably because it was closed beta. :hmmm:

For now, this is what I've been able to find. For more information, go ask Google. :hmph:

I would ask google this, but I doubt google would be able to answer me, so I'll just ask you: roughly how long would it take to download one of these? They all seem interesting and I would probably check them out if I could play them.

I don't know, I haven't checked the size to all of them.

Runes of Magic, which we probably won't be playing will take hours. HOURS.
Mabinogi: It's like 800mbs I believe, not very big.
Neosteam: I believe this one is pretty small as well, so it shouldn't take too long.
Ruins of War: I forgot, no fucking clue.
Allods: See ^
Aika: No clue. :wacky:

Keep in mind, out of all of these, I'm more interested in Runes of Magic. However, I know we can't play this, so I've been looking up more information on Mabinogi, and I dare say, it looks really fucking interesting. Even for point and click movement, I may give this a try.

However, I'm waiting for a general idea for the rest of you. Shaun will probably find more MMO suggestions, so I would wait for him. Besides, all of my suggestions came from MMOsite, and that's definitely NOT the best place to go for them. But meh, I was bored. So I gave it a shot. :mokken:

I think Runes of Magic was the one I couldn't play because my computers weren't good enough. :hmmm:

I'll probably check out the other ones sometime.

Finally finished off inFamous as a villain last night. It took a while, but I'm a bit disappointed since I could've done it a lot faster. Oh well, I'll be doing the hero route soon and then the whatever route to get the hard mode trophy.
