Moving issues huh? I am, as far as I know, the newest Tantalus member here, because even though Oblivion_XIII posted after me in the sign up thread, I've no way of telling if he got the password yet and would officially be a member now or not. :P

So with that being said, hello my fellow Tantalusians (not sure how to put it. :wacky:), if you've checked the sign up thread already, I guess you know the situation with me, that I won't be able to move to where I can get High-Speed, until early August at best, but I have Dial-up so I can muddle through to FFF and chat here, discuss strategies in games or whatnot, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl. ;)

First off, who here has that game, and has put much time into it to get good at it on a competitive level? :monster: I have over 1000 hours of Power Time for it, myself. :D

Also, I was wondering if it would be okay with you chaps if I record my playthrough "Let's Play" style with me playing the game, and adding in my own commentary. Personally, I feel as if this would be very fun, and I would like to give it a go. :yay:

I'll start up FFX after I finish college. I hatehatehate the first few hours of the game, so expect me to be in a bad mood xD

I'm going to play X, purely because I haven't touched that game in ages. Much longer than VIII, anyway. Diary entries are going to be so much fun at this rate! :x3:

ooh! I don't mind at all. It's actually the ideal diary entry, as we an actually SEE everything that you did. I wish I could do this as well.. but I don't have the stuff to do it >.<

I'm playing FFVIII ofc. :monster: I AM the Queen of FFVIII after all etc. :monocle:
 
Only playthroughs of Final Fantasy games (VIII and X. Albeit two good ones, though)? Sort of got Nintendo on my brain atm, honing my skills in Brawl in anticipation of the move to where I'll be able to have High-Speed Internet.

On the topic of Final Fantasy, has anyone been able to defeat those two giant, clashing beasts in Final Fantasy XIII, in the Archylte Steppe, in less than 10 seconds? The battle that gives you 6600 CP, and is always a Preemptive Strike.

The fastest I've ever been able to win the battle is 10 seconds, but I've done it several times, Sprints Shoes are a must for this, I have one equipped to Fang and Hope, don't have a third for Lightning...
 
At the moment the clan as a whole is doing a playthrough if either FF8 or FF10... since voting was tied, you get to pick. You don't HAVE to do the playthrough though, and there is also a general playthrough diary thing as well for if you wanna play through a different game and post your progress in it.
 
I would've liked to do FFX, but i've recently done a NSG game of it, which destroyed my patience with it tbh. :wacky:
Besides, I can play VIII on my PSP so it's much easier and I don't have to crane my neck talking to people on MSN. /clearly thought about it too much

I've yet to finish the copies of VII and VIII I downloaded off of PSN. xD
Been looking for an excuse, now here it is. :monster:

A question though, I imagine these playthroughs aren't all gonna be FF though? We will be broadening our horizons, so to speak, yas? :hmmm:

I dunno why you'd really want to, since it's the CP which is the most significant asset in that battle, tbh.
 
I've started playing FFX and got past the boring bit Mark spoke of. I just arrived in Kilika. I'd forgotton how much I loved this game. :lew:
 
I'm only up to Dollet atm on my FFVIII. xD
I really don't feel like it, and I bought Disgaea 2 yesterday so I want to play that instead. :monocle:
 
Back from Survivor tiemz :rage: Never ever doing again.

Anyway, I'll get around to playing FFX soon, I'm just...well into Pokemon Yellow right now :rage:
 
I haven't started my playthroughs, and despite Andry reminding me to bring FFX to my dad's, I didn't :rage:

I'll start FFVIII tonight and FFX when I get home. :8F:

I've been playing Disgaea 2 most of the day, as much as I want to get this playthrough done I only got the game yesterday to be fair. :mokken:
I will get back to it though....eventually.
