[T] The Hideout

I was intending on playing IX for a bit tonight, but i've found myself reading RE LP's and just chilling. I kind of want to play RE now. =[

I might do.. later. :rage:
It's not like we're in a rush for the playthroughs, there's only me and Damon doing them at the moment.
 
I would've started a new FFIX playthrough, but my flatmate started one. We took turns trying to impress one hundred nobles with the duel. Took us nearly an hour! Thankfully, I got that and the all-important 100,000 gil. I'm so pleased with myself. :griin:

I think they've made the PSP version more bearable, I did that first try and stealing is a LOT easier, it makes me so happy inside.
 
I had an inkling of a feeling that it was 10,000. Thought 100,000 would be too much. :britt:

Stealing is most certainly easier, it was a bitch to deal with on the PS version. >_>
 
I remember spending about 4 hours trying to get that Fairy flute a few years ago, i'd kill to still have that patience now, I really would.
Or that Demon's mail off Tantarian, but I never bother with that anymore. The chances are FAR too low.
 
I rarely use Freya/Steiner though, so it pretty much nulls it for me anyway. I only use them when I feel like it. XD
I NEVER used to use Quina, but s/he's rather good with the right abilities, although Limit Glove is a bitch to set up, you can level to the 30's before Gizmaluke easily if you exploit it on the Grand Dragons.
 
I rarely use Freya, but Steiner is a beast with me :ohoho: Amarant is too if you work him right, Magic COunter ftw.

And Quina is quite underrated, ya. I do find him/her/it quite fun to use :ryan:
 
The thing that makes me nearly downright HATE Steiner is Excalibur II, knowing that I don't have his ultimate weapon makes me twitch. -__-

Also, Amarant is amazing support when placed with mages, Chakra is so broken with its infinite mp capabilities. :8F:

And aye, what's worse is how it's not possible on our versions because we don't get advanced frame rate for moving :sad3:
 
Actually, it is possible for us, but we only have a ten minute or so margin of error. Wheras the NA/JP versions have a thirty minute one I think. What's NOT possible is a perfect game + that, like Hippaul racing etc, not possible.

Excalibur II is possible PAL though just... very hard and tbh it's not worth it.
 
I so can't do the game in 12 hours or whatever it is, I'd stop to play Chocobo Hot and Cold :rage: I looooove that game. When I start my FFIX playthrough, I'm going to speed through it 'til I get to Lindblum. :ryan:

Also, I need help doing rules for my playthrough. :8F: Garnet + one other person only... but should I do it like... Garnet and Steiner only, or Garnet and any person of my choice at any given time? I'm leaning more towards the second so I can steal sometimes. :wacky: And what about when I have no Garnet? :rage:
 
I'd say.

Garnet + any given person you want, if no Garnet then use two random ones or just play normally? :hmmm:
Or if no Garnet just a general two man party deal?
 
Ohhhh that could work. Just... pick two... yeah. Garnet + random (I could get a number generator and pick it randomly every time the party changes. :wacky: That'd be interesting, though I might not get to steal from some bosses that way... <.< And some people would end up underlevelled as well.) and random + random when I don't have Garnet. :hmmm: I like that.

Edit: I don't get Eiko 'til disc 2 :rage: And I use Garnet to attack shit a lot of the time. :| Though, I do also have her summoning before she loses the ability. <.< /freak

maybe you should set a ability stone limit? Like 25 per everyone who's not Garnet, everyone else has 25. She doesn't.

Alrighty home boys and homegirls :mokken:

i have decided to restart my FFX LP again, mainly because i want to and would like to be extremely over levelled. I'll list some of the things on here that i plan on doing some of which that are not story related at all :hmmm:

Overkill every storyline boss in the game
Gain every celestial weapon, sigil and crest legitimately (Game saved last few gameplays for Lulu and Wakka)
Max Sphere Grid (not sure whether to do Beginner or expert)
Break Damage and HP limit
Capture all fiends

i could keep going but i wont

maybe you could post your diary entires in the FFX thread?
I know it's not being used anymore but it'd be pointless to waste it and since we didn't technically finish it..... I think there'd be no reason not to? :hmmm:
 
i'm writiong it all up on word, because i feel i would be writing 1000000000000000 words per post so emmm yeahh as sad as that sounds i'll write it in Word and copy and paste when i have finished.

ohh i forgot to add the "defeat the dark aeons and penance" to the list
