[T] The Hideout

Start it then. :wacky: It's actually quite fun for me right now, where it wouldn't have been before.

Well, you need to learn them via Mantras, and they work less often on enemies than they would on you, naturally. -__-

I find it amusing you need to master the counterelement to get tough enough in the game :wacky:

Like Serph needing the agi shields etc

I don't really bother teaching Cielo any shields because his shitty ailment weakness means he never gets used. Since I have no intention of fighting the optional superboss (where Cielo is damn helpful) he's staying in the back, to heal my party after battles.

I understand nothing of this.... :8F:
The thing is, with a Vivi only game (/back to FFIX) it'll mean I won't be able to steal stuff early. ;-;

I think an excess of ethers will be required... but I don't need phoenix downs/pinions!
A plan is formulating. =D

Ethers are quite easy to come by in FF9 I do believe, so it should be possible :hmmm:

All else fails hit it with a stick!

And I dunno, Cielo is quite handy on most bosses since it's not common they'll use stat ailments on you so he could be useful, especially with his elec resistance <3

I have a plan in mind now, Vivi's just going to require a lot of levelling, otherwise i'm going to be using Amarant's throw a lot. (For non-Vivi areas)

It's still not going to be easy though, but... we shall see. :gasp:

Also you can save up a bunch of money and buy 99 of all the potions, then (after beating Hades) synth Ethers for like 500 or so.

I think after Hades it won't matter so much, it's just before then. xD
The ones i'm not looking forward to so far are Ark and meltigemini, funny how they're both ones that are going to be non-Vivi areas. (I'd be stupid to send Vivi to Oelivert, especially on a Vivi only run)

That's like getting a vasectomy and wanting kids. :hmph:

Yeah. I think the most Ethers I've had before Memoria was like 35.

I always find myself NOT needing to use them much. :hmmm:

After I get Amarant, I don't touch ethers. Chakra + white mage + Vivi = GODLY, damnit. Godly. :sad3: Chakra + Vivi + Steiner is pretty awesome too.

Though, I'm partial to a Zidane/Freya/Amarant/Garnet party, myself. I love Freya and Amarant... Eiko too, but Garnet hits harder usually :8F:

Yeah, but Vivi runs out of mp so often. D:
I'll use tents mainly outside of battle I think, Ethers/Potions/Elixirs (rarely) in battle.
It'll... be doable, but not without mass rage, I can assure you. :8F:

You guys seriously need to stop posting so much. :jtc: I posted at page 131, that is 5 pages since last night. Anyway I played a little bit more of FFVIII last night and got to FH killing the big robot thing. And I also did something I have never done before played a game at the hardest difficulty, I started a KH game on Expert difficultly. I figured I have beat the game a few times now and I can handle it on Expert. I have high hopes....but I died on the first Guard Armor battle. :jtc: One was not amused.

I wouldn't be put off by that matt.
On my latest KHI run I died at all the bosses at least once, it's quite hard.
Just keep at it though, and if all else fails just go off and level once or twice, if it doesn't work. Go back and level again.

Also, why are you not on msn? :mokken:

I just finished another month on Valkyria Chronicles 2, I got all As again :woo:

I was slightly disappointed Audrey's tank was so easy to beat though. She failed as a boss :sad3:

:sad3:

If it was the other way around you'd be raging, I know I would. So be thankful I guess? :wacky:

Well, I suppose. Although, I wouldn't have minded if she was challenging, not ridiculous, but challenging. It feels like such a hollow win when they're easy :sad3:

Exactly. The fact that Audrey's tank went down in 3 hits (2 direct hits, and one hitting her ragnite container) was enough to kill her, after she was hyped up so badly... :sad3:

Valkyria Chronicles 1 had the best boss, Mission 7 sees you facing a giant tank, which is so huge, it looks like it's actually integrated with the map D:

And to make matters worse, once you damage it to much, an invincible Valkyria woman shows up... who then proceeds to rush straight at your troops, killing anything she touches with one hit D: and then she bats a TANK SHELL out of thin air like it was nothing D:

It sounds like the women of these game are really epic. :8F: Are there any of the ice queens/emotionless bitches I love so much? :andry:

hahaha, that does sound rather epic.
There's so many games I want to try. :hmmm:
Well, a few anyway. XD

We should have a 'Recommended Games' thread or something where we can post like, "This game is awesome for X reason a and you should buy it because ..."
But that's a different topic entirely.
