[T] Next Playthrough? [Discussion]

Since I do believe we're doing (or at least attempting) another clan run I thought a thread discussing what we're actually going to play would be in order.
I'm not going to make a poll or anything, I think we should just see the most popular choices at first and decide on two or three which are the most common choices and make a poll thread from there for that.

Anyway, personally I think we should do an FFIX run, it came out on PSN a few months ago and I know most of us have it. I'd certainly like an excuse to play my PSP version anyway. (I still haven't actually played it since downloading it, i'm rather ashamed. :sad3: )

Also, if my challenges idea comes through then challenge suggestions would also be nice as well. (Check this post if you don't know what i'm referring to.)
 
FFIX all the way. I'm with you right there, Andrew. It'd be fun to go through and people could go at their own pace or quickly if they wanted to do so.
 
I'm completely fine with FFIX, and seeing as how it's a game I actually like, I'm probably going to finish it. However, I probably won't do any time attack. I don't really like rushing through with games. It makes it somewhat less enjoyable for me.

I'll probably play it the same way I did with FFVIII, and record the game with my commentary. I rather enjoyed that.

I would do the same (except the commentary) but I want to play the PSP version I downloaded and I can't record that, so my entries will be text based.

I find challenges to be a fun way of doing things, perhaps simple ones that won't take too much time. Or ones that make you think, it's not like you'd have to do them and I think they'd be specific ones and not whole game ones like low level or something.
 
I'm cool with doing a FFIX Playthrough (although, I'd start later, since I'm just about to hit disk 3 and I REALLY don't want to spend hours playing Chocobo Hot and Cold again xD)

Challenges are fun, even simple challenges like "use x team for boss y" etc.

I love hot and cold, but I suck at it at the same time. :8F:

And that was the kind of challenge I was thinking of, or something along the lines of "Defeat x boss without using items". Which, in most cases can be easily done in IX.
 
FFIX playthrough? Sure, why not. Even though I'd have to start over again, and do the countless hours of Hot&Cold/cards/etc, I would totally do it.
 
I think that's nearly everyone who's agreed really, so... shall we start an IX one or wait if someone has something else to say?
 
Okay, the consensus seems to be FFIX, so I think i'll make a thread on that now then. If anyone doesn't want to play that and decides to play something else / make a seperate thread or just not even play that should be fine. :hmmm:
