[T] Clan Activity Ideas and Suggestions

Well right now i'm able to do a group playthrough of FF7/8/10 (4, 5, 6, 9, X-2 and 12 will join the list when I have my stuff back)
Since my PS3 capabilities are fairly limited i'm unable to play things like UC2, FF13 etc
When/if FF9 gets on PSN i'd be more than willing to do a group playthrough of that, providing it happens before I get my stuff back

I am down for mostly any FF game, except for X-2 and XII. Those are the only two I dont own. So how would this work, would we just play and tell each other how we are doing?

I'd be up for... nearly any FF game, plus either KH1 or KH2. I don't have many other games, tbh.
FF2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, and 12 would be all playable for me. I know. Damon actually pointed it out to me. I just couldn't be bothered to change it. 
On topic, what about games that aren't FF or KH? You know, games like Uncharted, Tekken or anything else? Might not be able to do everyone, but could consider it in the future.

I actually rather liked Faith's idea of a Gaming Diary. We could share with everyone else our gaming experiences in one thread, whether they be good or bad.
This probably wouldn't happen immediately, but this is a mere suggestion for now.
If and when people complete their playthroughs, we could perhaps do FFIX as the next one? Just got this idea since it just came out on the PSN store today. We wouldn't even have to rush into it because people either haven't started their playthrough or are currently going through it.

I love that idea. FFIX is the perfect "summer game" and if it's on PSP, then it's portable and people can pick it up whenever they feel like it 
I'm game for an IX run, especially considering it's re-release on PSN which was a very pleasant suprise. However, i've yet to finish the ones i'm currently doing. xD

I could go through FFIX. Best FF ever, IMHO. Also, as for ideas in general, I did like my idea on streaming the vidya. =3

Since those VIII and X playthrough threads aren't really going to be used anymore since interest has long since been lost, why don't we unsticky those and think of a few new games to do a clan playthrough of?
Perhaps not all FF, maybe a choice of 2/3 games that we all know we have.
Those threads are just... there for no reason now to be honest, if the interest has been lost best to admit it and move on to something else, it's starting to become progressivley more inactive here.
However, we could possibly do it with a twist, like... checkpoints.
Example: "Reach part X before [date here]."
Or alternativley, as challenges.
Example: "Defeat Ifrit with only physical attacks on the lowest timer setting." (couldn't think of a better one)
Maybe adding challenges and/or targets could help spark interest as opposed to a normal run, and proof be given by screenshot/webcam photo etc so long as it's clearly visible. Even better, a video. (or if not, we'll just have to take your word for it since it's understandable that not everyone has those options.)

That sounds like a good idea, Andrew. At least if we have set goals, people might play the game, and it means we stick to a playthrough / can decide when it's over.

For our clan runs I mentioned this:
Now, how about setting specific challenges for the games we play, but give out special merits for them.
I'll use an example.
Say we all did an FFIX run, and I set one of the challenges to "Reach disc 2 in 8 hours" and you did it successfully (with proof, mind, this is vital - as I said I know not everyone can do it. Yet there must be some way of you showing proof.) then you'd get so many credits for doing that.
The credit system would be converted to leaderboards and ranked depending on how many you have. (maybe set levels/titles depending on your amount)

I actually agree with Ringo on this. We all have PCs (or else we wouldn't be on here), so I'm sure we could find SOMETHING on the PC that we can play as a group and enjoy.

Being a clan doesn't mean we always have to play online games together, it can be the discussion aspect of playing specific games and such like our runs.
Playing an online game would be fun but PC wise I probably won't be interested personally, my laptop isn't that good and I can barely handle anything game wise on it. PC gaming isn't my kind of thing really either, i'd be more interested in the playthrough aspect like what we've been doing.

We can talk about video games while not being a clan too. I'm sorry, but I would much rather play a MMO with a group of like minded individuals and be in the same clan as them, then sit around and talk about what game I played this week as if we're in some kind of gaming group therapy.
I can see your point RIngo, and when I get proper internets/a better PC I can shove disks in/has decent speed/plenty of memory i'd probably consider giving it a shot (don't knock it till you try it etc etc
