Sooo...I see you recieved the free ticket I sent you....I'm glad, I did so want you to be here! You see it doesn't matter if you catch me and send me back to the Asylum....Gordon's been driven mad! I'VE PROVED MY POINT...I've demonstrated that theres no difference between me and everyone else all it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy, thats how far the world is from where I am....Just one bad day.

You had a bad day once, am I right? I know I am! Why else would you dress up as a flying RAT...you had a baad dayy and it drove you as CRAZY AS EVERYBODY ELSE!....only you wont admit it!

You have to keep pretending that life makes sense, that theres some point to all this struggling...GOD YOU MAKE ME WANT TO PUKE!!

I mean what is it with you? What made you what you are? Girlfriend killed by the mob maybe? Brother carved up by some mugger? Something like that I bet....something like that...some-thing like that happened to me you know...

Not exactly sure what it was, sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another....IF IM GOING TO HAVE A PAST I PREFER IT TO BE MULTIPLE CHOICE!.. HU..HAHA!!

My point is, I went crazy...when I saw what a black awful joke the world was, I went crazy as a coot!! I ADMIT IT!...why cant you?

I mean your not unintelligent, you must see the reality of the situation. Do you know how many times we've come close to world war 3 over a flock of geese on a computer screen? Do you know what triggered the last world war? An argument over how many telegraph poles Germany owed its war department creditors...TELEGRAPH POLES!! HU HAHAHAhaha!! Its all a JOKE!...everything anybody ever valued or struggled for it's all a monsterous demented gag....so WHY CANT YOU SEE THE FUNNY SIDE?....why aren't you laughing?

I might have a go at creating an original character for this. I'll have the person start out as a normal civilian and neutral and such, but such changing as the story goes on / after an accident or something.

I used to create superheroes and villains for fun, but they were only ever ideas. I might either pull one of those out and try and adapt it for Gotham, or make a new one. I don't trust myself using the known characters.

I might not be able to be as active as some of you, but I'll be able to post here and there a few times a week.

I don't care if you haven't listed her as a character.

Psylocke. Is. Mien. D=

I'll get her bio done some time soon... honest. :gonk:

you got it =3 a little thing of note to anyone wanting to play a crossover character such as Vikk is doing with Psylocke, yes I will allow crossover characters as long as you can make them fit.

Character bio's for the likes of Superman, Thor, Apocolypse or any other godlike hero or villain will be flat out refused, afterall this is to be a fair...well as fair as it can be, fight and godlike power characters dont fit into the RP.

I think I'll take Catwoman. I do believe I'll make an original too :8F:. Are original villains OK? :hmmm:

For the original you'll start as neutral and be given several, opportunities to side with whomever you choose, to fully turn villain/hero, your character must partake in a "Grey Area" event, these events will define if your character will be seen as heroic or villainous, this is to give your character a defining and building moment in the spot light.

And Catwoman is reserved for ya, she starts neutral mainly due to her past as both a heroine and a villainess.

Example of a Grey Area event:

The Gotham Fire Department has come under attack from the scarecrow who has used his Fear Toxin on many of the workers inside, some of which were henchman of the Joker, rioting ensues within as the fear striken civilians attack anything and everything in sight, order needs to be brought to this chaos...but at what cost? And just who were the Joker's henchmen?

Villain: A Villain would be defined by simply killing everyone within, not sparing a single soul, despite the fact some of the henchmen belonged to the Joker, they are but disposable pawns and no good to him in such a state, there deaths actually serve his cause better than they would alive....as noone likes a talker.

Hero: A Hero would be defined by saving them, no matter the risk of the Jokers henchmen, Afterall Batman would appreciate any chance of a lead on the Jokers' current wereabouts as he can get.

Thats just a straight forward grey event, some will be far more complex and the choice of a grey area event will not be made clear like it has been here, its down to you, the RP'er to bring out your inner hero/villain and make the choice, but not to worry if you choose the wrong option, there will always be another Grey Area event.

Does the Gotham you have imagined still have the old gothic style buildings, and many places of interest like that? I know Gotham has been redesigned quite a bit, and I'm not sure if the Gotham you have here is more like that, more normal and New Yorkish, or if it is a bit of a mixture.

I'm way out of the loop with the DC universe. The character I have planned is going to pretty much be a historian, or someone involved with the conservation of key buildings of interest. I've not decided yet, but that's the kind of guy I have in mind at the moment. While he is a civilian that is... Eventually events will change him, but that'll be how he starts off, so I was just wondering about what this Gotham looks like.

It will definatley be the gotham of old from the comics, the only time Gotham actually saw any change to the new style was in Batman beyond, but even then it still retains most of its Gothic architecture.

The Robin that you have listed there, I'm assuming that he's Damion since Nightwing and Red Robin are also listed, right?

It would be indeed addle, although it isnt canon with the timeline, its more the joy of being able to include the more interesting aspects of the Batman universe, such as how Dick Grayson i felt came into his own as Nightwing, and Tim was much better solo as the Red Robin, But Batman for me will always be Bruce Wayne.
