Storyline

By the way, I was talking to Red Fox, on MSN, he likes this game a lot better than the last. He also offered some interesting ideas, from a Mage point of view.

I am going to start working on the Tonberries. King Tonberry will be holding the first orb to the weapon. People will need so many components to fight King Tonberry. He will be a fight trigger. Also there will be a pet/summon drop. What would be a good name for the Tonberries place and what was the component that Tiel mentioned? Oh, the Tonberries will be slow and have high HP, STR and DEF. They will probably have great MAG DEF as well. With medium MAG. Also be from level 50 to level 60. I am not sure what level to make King Tonberry. People will need to be level 50 to access the location.

Triple Triad shop made and I will add it to the Ancient Library along with a TT NPC, Vivi. The cards at the shop are all level 1 & 2 and cost either 100 or 200 and the NPC has the same cards.

Now, i'm wondering, should the rules for Vivi allow the taking of cards? or just play for fun. I dunno, but i'm going to have it set to not allow cards to be taken, last game people kept whoring them :wacky:

I removed the Wicked Eilif Claymore with 999 Def of the Library Shop and replaced it with another version with weaker defense. The Monster "Wicked Armor" still has the original Wicked Claymore of 999 DEF.

On another topic, could we add vampires later on? :D They are like some sort of mages....somehow...

There will be a few summon areas by the way. Since the Summon areas require level 50 players. No teaming allowed. The next areas will require players to be level 60 or above. This will prevent any teaming to get lower level players there. Yes the areas will be entered by an NPC from another location.

I was reading about the King Tonberry battle, in FF8. It appears that the location is called Centra Ruins. But we can still call it Odin's Castle if you wish. I made the Crown Fragments. The NPC that triggers the fight with King Tonberry willl take the Crown Fragments before the battle starts. If character losses the battle, they will have to obtain the fragments again. Like how FF8 does it. The NPC will require 20 fragments (in the game it is 20 Tonberries) to activate battle with King Tonberry. King Tonberry will be a bit faster and have lots of HP (10000). Also the pet will have the Chef's Knife attack type. Which will have a 100% or over STR bonus. I need to make the two NPCs, King Tonberry and the Tonberry pet. Gab thinks the pet should start at level 1. I might give it a little bit of STR as a bonus.

Centra Ruins, that gives me an idea, let's call it like that then. I like the 20 fragments idea, it's the best way to recreate that side quest from FFVIII.

We can add Zalera, the Death Seraph, and Esper (summon) in FFXII and have that area overrun with vampires, ghouls, demons, etc. You get Zalera in an underground cavern, a secret passage, Boehm (or however it's spelled), and you need a key to access that passage.

To get Chaos, you need to create a medallion to access his chambers. In FFXII you needed several side quests to complete the medallion. The Medallion was split in four pieces, and scattered through the land.

One piece is given by a bandit, in the Lowercity of Rabanastre.

One Piece is given by a mage in the Nabradian Deadlands.

One Piece is given my a man in a shop of Archedes.

The final piece, located in the [SIZE=-1]Garamsythe Waterways.

That is all you needed to get Chaos in FFXII. That could give us some of our "quests" in the game.

Oh, Tiel, I think the Triple Triad cards have no pictures.

Also, to answer Julius' question, Vampires might be a good idea for the next forest and areas. I think I am going to take a bit of a break before I make any new additons.

Ok, then I might add a few monsters to that forest later. Players can use the new section for a while and wait :D

I added a "Soul Reaver" image for swords. A mythical vampiric blade from the Legacy of Kain Series.

I hope this is not a serious bug from dropping a pet using a trigger. But my pet did not get any attributes or skill points after leveling up. I will try to level it up again. To see if this continues to happen.

Good idea, after all, If things get rushed, stuff will get messed up (like the triggers for the medallions :P)

And has anyone PM'ed Lord Goblez about re-uploading the TT card images? Also, does anyone have the TT card images so he can upload em? If not I can find em online.

OK, there is a bug with dropping pets with NPC. I guess I have to create another location and create a pet shop. Damn you, ZT!!!

I purchased the pet in a spell shop, all was fine.

Or maybe the NPC will grant you access tot he place after you beat the Monster. You kill Ifrit for example, you gain access to a place called "Shrine of Ifrit", where you can purchase it

That is what I did. I have things setup so the battle is a one time deal.

Ok, according to what we have, players will conquer both Halls of Warriors and Mages. During their journey they've learned about an evil mage, and a corruptive spell, one used by the Cursed Spirit during their battle in the Tower of Elendil.

They got the medallions to travel to either the new forest or Centra Ruins. Soon they stumble across the Eryut Village, where we can have a new book shop, an inn and maybe some new potions. They learn from Fran that about the cursed mage Elendil but she tells you that to know how feared was his power, you must look at it by yourself. After telling you to come back to her after traveling to the past, Fran uses her time magic and propels you 600 years into the [insert land name here] past, but you discover that the Tower of Mages had already fallen. None of the areas will be visible except for the Tower of Mages (Elendil) of the past. You dsicover that Elendil didn't die like the history says, and that it was you who killed it and created the Cursed Spirit, thus ignating Elendil's first step for his plan.

By killing Elendil, you cast the curse upon this land, slowly eating the life of the planet and allowing demons and other creatures to quickly overrun areas that were abandoned once. From that point most of the Hall weren't overrun by demons, so we can have a direct link to another town, and then locate in that town a portal that will take you back to Eryut Village. A trigger condition "Player has been to X"can be used for Fran to trigger a new conversation.

We can say that Centra Ruins quest happened in the past, setting that area as invisible, the first floor of the Centra Ruins in the future can be visible.

I am still trying to organize this inside my brain. Any ideas or suggestions?

Now for the first human town in the future. We don't need to create a new area, let's just drop an NPC there that links to another town. For the NPC to grant access the player must meet the following requirement:
-User has killed "Elendil" (past).

How the player will know when to go back to Ellion Village? Simple, Fran will tell the player that he could find more information about the curse if he visits an old man in Ellion Village. The old man happens to own a small ship, so he agrees to take you there. The first village-insert name here- will have some rings, maybe a staff and our first huge sword called "Zweihander", that is the name of a two handed huge sword, it could have a Dex Bonus of 5 seeing that a player won't be able to dual wield another "zweihander".

Again, brain's a mess, so I after sleep I might dream of something new. Right now I feel very creative :D

As for the Tower of Elendil, it needs to remain hidden... What is visible, will be another place, which is the Tower at another time. Right? Now you could have a boss battle there.

Centra Ruins will become visible because you get there from an access trigger. Also the pet area will be accessed by an access trigger as well. I do not want it to be easy to level up to level 50 before that point. So if you have a boss before Centa Ruins, it cannot be a level that levels people up quickly.

As for taking the Medalions, maybe you will need them to access the forest. Maybe we should discuss this on MSN.

We could turn this into something interesting.

We need that the Tower of Mages of the past to be hidden,so Fran can transport you to Videl Forest in the Past and from there you could access the Tower. Hmmm....
If we can somehow arrange this correctly, we could make a very cool area and add much of the storyline. :monster:

There is reason why the Tower of Elendil and Temple of the Ancients are hidden. I don't want it to be too easy to enchant armour and weapons. Yes, we could get this to work.

Remember, Centra Ruins is one of several side quests.

If you want to keep a place hidden, you cannot use access triggers. You would have to create a transport travel service.

Ok then I create a Vidal Forest place (past) and have it linked to invisible Tower of Mages, also in the past. Both Towers, past and present (or future) will be invisible. I guess that could work.
