Storyline

I added an Attack Type/Spell training NPC and left it in the Library. The monster is Altzimus, Guardian of Eilif, and he has character value stats, and his LV is 1 so he gives very, very, very (if none) experience.

Also his HP is 1600 :monster:

We probably should add a couple more spells in the library. I may do it.

Go right ahead Julius. So far the shop has Cura and Absorb. I may add some weapons as well. Right now I am rather tired.

Well, I need to think up the first underground tunnel areas. All hidden. First we need to come up with a tunnel to the first alter. A really tough boss should guard the first alter. Also, there will be a tunnel to the first pet/summan. You will need to battle it before you get it through a NPC. Maybe the first summon will drop the first piece to the weapon.

As for the first portal NPC, at the Library. What would be a good idea for another city?

How about a kingdom? The Royal Capital of [insert name here] facing a devastating war against [insert evil name here].

I am thinking on writing a series of books called "Julius' Diary".

In those I would most likely write my experience through the RPG, as well as add some tips for new comers and experienced gamers alike. :monster:

What would be a good name for a shrine? I need to make a tunnel to an alter from the library.

Just a note: Added several spells, in the Library. The spells Haste, Osmose and Berserk will be user only. I have a good reason for doing it. I think.

An idea: The tunnel to the first alter will be called "Hall of Warriors". I am wondering what would be good regular monsters for the tunnel. I believe the boss should be, of course, an old wise, warrior. I will need to come up with a name for the warrior. Probably a level 60 monster, with the spell, Berserk, at level 8.

Jimmy is complaining about the fact there are no pets. I told him that getting a pet will require beating it. What he does not know is I am planning the pet/summon to be after the Hall of Warriors. I am planning to make it quite a challenge.

Added a new book called "Journey to Vidal"
“How many days have I wandered aimlessly through this trial that we call, life?” Julius questioned himself after spending some of his time in a village called Ellion. In there he met many travelers, treasure hunters, mages, warrior mages, knights, and even klinglons from a foreign land. Days passed and nothing new happened, the same routine, still the same tranquil occasions of watching the sun rising and setting on the horizon. He gazed upon his old sword, his family’s heirloom, given to him by his late grandfather. Julius thought that his fate was much more important than this. So the day arrived, a pirate offering the chance to embark on a perilous journey. The offer taken without hesitation and so he went to the ship.

The Black Pearl, the treasure of the seven seas commanded by Jack Sparrow and his men. Though many were pirates, some of them were all sorts of travelers, like a man he met called Gabranth. He also met several people by the names of Koloth, Jimmy, Neo Amon, Vexen, and many others, all of them mighty warriors. “It appears that this ship will take me to meet my destiny, to face my fate…” He bought some supplies from the trader, a hat, a jacket, warm boots and two swords, all he needed to fight for now. Days were spent traveling until the rumors of a monster roaming the seas became true, for the Black Pearl was attacked by the Kraken, a gigantic sea beast. A few survived; of the Black Pearl and Jack Sparrow none was known. Julius fought the beast along his companions, but the damage was already done, and it appeared that the ship would sink beneath the waves. Julius found himself on the coast of a tropical region, alone, with a strange key and an old piece of armor. He clad himself on his new attire, and after wandering for a few hours, he found a mysterious door and had the urge to use the key.

The door brought him to a new region, an ancient city from which he walked to a nearby forest that, according to what little information he could find, was named Vidal Forest. In there he fought beasts like wolves, bears, harpies and many others, and went victorious with much effort. His journey would lead him to the Library of Eilif, in which he would acquire greater knowledge and strength. Along his path, he stumbled across his comrades in battle…

"To survive I need to balance my skills. A mighty power won't help me if I can't elude those wicked harpies or endure the attacks of that demonic Minotaur. To anyone reading this, instead of wanting to search every area so soon, I would first master each section individually, gather enough materials and gils, and then I would prepare for the next area. I wouldn't venture in another area if I am weaker than the strongest monster of the previous one....There's also this man, a Guard, who is very strong and should not be taken lightly but if I can somehow elude most of his attacks or at least have enough stamina to survive a few rounds, the Guardian is most likely to fall by the cold steal of a sword."

I guess I could help you out with the first altar. I think we should have dark creatures like bats, maybe a few demons, and a couple of shadowy beasts.

I was thinking of a bunch of Grenades. But Demons and Shadowy Beasts could be a nice addition too. Maybe Grenades wouldn't be fair, because people do not have pets yet.

OK, the gang is getting restless. I suggest we work on The Hall of Warriors this weekend. I got a devious plan to make things tough on Mages again. I am planning to make the first enchantment more warrior based. The spells, I added, gave the mages an advantage for now. I need to think up a good description for the area. I may just use our cave pictures for the backgrounds.

Speaking of the Mages, They had a tough time making it to the Library. I may add a small spell, a little better than Shock. But require some Arcane to get it. Maybe an arcane skill of 12 and cost 2000 gil. 20 max damage per turn, 2 turns. Does not level up.

Maybe have 2 halls? One for warriors and one for Mages, each will get a special medal or something at the end and both will be needed to get the the next place. That way they will have a rough time either way :D

OK, I am presently working on the Hall of Warriors right now. I guess we can do the Mage one next. Coming from the same location, the library. A really devious plan. Make the Mage tunnel somewhat harder. Each area will be the same level.

Yes, I like the medal idea, to go to the next area. Which will be the area to obtain a summon. We could have a couple of them too. Also,a character needs to be level 50 to access the areas for summons.

They also need to be level 50 to go the area Julius mentions. Which will be the first NPC portal access. But the monsters in this area will be 10 attributes per level to force people to get pets.

By the way, enchantments need to be purchased. So we can control the arcane and crafting skill levels. I can talk to you guys, on MSN, about this. Both enchantments will require level 40 crafting and level 40 arcane. I may decide to make the requirements higher.

Ok, time to make the boss for the Hall of Warriors. I'll base him on my current stats, but a somehow even stronger. I already have in mind who I will add. The boss will be left in the admin island for testing.

Remember the bosse needs to be tough for a level 45 to level 50 player. Who wants to work on the Mage tunnel? Monsters with tough Def and low MAG def. The monsters in the Hall of Warriors need to be high in Mag Def and lower in DEF. I may modify the monster I just made.

As soon as I finish the boss, (as well as making a good pic) I'll see what monsters I can make for the Mage area :)

They will hate me if they are not mages...:devil2:
~Edit~
Boss Created...
Wow I almost ran out of potions in the new section....in the first tunnel...

I think I'll stay in Vidal for a while....almost lost in that new area...but got a good amount of exp...still too risky...

*sighs* Reaching 200 victories is hard...

But I think I can make something :D

Thank you for the bat picture. I need to add one more monster. Create a shop for the enchantment and make the enchantment. Oops, almost forgot, I also need to add the alter.

Well I'll try to make the Hall of Mages. Four Tunnels, Spell Based Monster at the end. High DeF, low Mag Def.

Hall of Mages 1, 2 and 3 added as well as the Tower of Elendil. Boss for that area was left in the Admin Island by the name of "Cursed Spirit"
