Storyline

I just now saw that Clan Centurio. At first I thought I missed it or something, but I decided to check updates here and sure enough, I guess you guys just opened it recently. xD Cool deal. Not much stuff to do, but I'll be looking forward for more items.

Count on it, I'll be adding more items for players with levels around 65 to 90. I have future plans to add a second shop for players above LV 100.

Hippos Purros has been added to Deadlands. I think people will really hate him. I did not give it a component drop. But it drops a Broadsword.

OK, Aztec Gold Coin is added as the component drop. A 100% of 1 getting dropped.

Hippos Purros' personal army? :wacky:

Also, the following spells are Boss Spells only (for now)
-Earthquake (Fused effects of Firaga and Blizzaga)
-Battle Charge (Deals damage and increases caster's str)
-Reaper (reduces target's stats to increase the caster's strength)
-Bio (Deals a good amount of damage, and also takes HP away during 4 turns)
-Helm Breaker (Deals Heavy Damage)

I am adding the spell "Battle Charge" to Hippos Purros spell list :wacky:

EDIT: I think I changed my mind about giving "Battle Charge" to Hippos Purros :)

I was thinking, since Arkon's mistake sends the player to the future instead to the player's original time, I realized that the player can't contact Arkon at all, since the Arkon that the player met is in fact, in the player's original time line.

Elendil's Time Portal sends the player to the future, so the player tries to find a way to get back to his original time. So instead of Arkon, we need another excuse.

Matrix Chapter

After the player beats the Pharos, they arrive to the Mines of Moria, from where they hear of a location said to be "cursed" (The Cursed Grounds), so you decide to check it out. After fighting your way through the Cursed Grounds, you stumble across a Mysterious Mage, which tells you the following:

"You have arrived simply too late. The Curse has taken over these lands and it has already sunk deep into the planet's core. Now what is left is to await for this dying planet to cease to exist. This area is only an example of the effects of "The Curse", being located in a rift in time and space." (I will add this text to the NPC later)

He also explains that even though you might travel through time, the Cursed Grounds would always exist as long as "The Curse" remains, so that will explain why the Cursed Grounds will still be there even after traveling to "The Matrix". He also tells you to come back once you are prepared, and that he won't grant you access to the next fragment of the weapon just yet.

(So I was thinking of this, in order to avoid editing the text of several NPCs)

Let's say that Elendil's Time Portal does sends the player to a time near the player's original time, like 40 years later. Arkon would still recognize the player. However, the player notices that many things have changed, and that during his absence, "The Curse" has grown far stronger to be contained.

In an attempt to prevent this, the player asks Arkon to send him back 50 years to arrive to the time in which the player belongs. Arkon malfunctions due to his Main Circuit System being affected by "The Curse" and its corrosive powers.

Now here's where the Matrix comes in. The player is sent, not 50 years back to his original time, but instead he is sent several thousands of years to an alternate future, in which the "Real World" was destroyed by some sort of "Apocalyptic Event" caused by an "unknown force" (possibly the Final Boss of the game or perhaps Elendil himself). The machines lead by "Deus Ex Machina/Arkon", who has experimented a series of drastic alterations, including main system optimizing, upgrades, and new structural design (Arkon is now capable of fighting, and he can be an optional pet/summon).

DEM-Arkon recognizes you, but since it has lost much of his time traveling abilities due to alterations made on it by "The Architect", he tells you that the only hope for you to go back would be to find "The Architect " himself.

Of course, by doing so, you will be plunged deeper into the Matrix itself, which is linked to DEM-Arkon's data base. Of course, this does not ends here, for "The Curse" had survived and remained dormant all of these years. Once you meet "The Architect", he leads you to a room but unfortunately, "The Curse" takes over DEM-Arkon, forcing you to fight him.

After defeating DEM-Arkon, Arkon temporarily regains control and opens the time portal once the Time Traveling Permissions are given (which are inside a disc provided by "The Architect"). DEM-Arkon tells you that all of this can be prevented by destroying "Elendil" and lifting "The Curse", but by doing so this future would also cease to exist. DEM-Arkon encourages you to stop Elendil, even if it means sacrificing this "Alternate Future". You agree, and promise him that you'll find him even if you have to plunge into the "Darkness Beyond Time". DEM-Arkon bids farewell and shortly it falls once again "The Curse", but before succumbing to destroy everything, DEM-Arkon shuts his system down, taking much of the Matrix with him. The unstable Matrix no longer holds, and then it causes a series of explosions that end up destroying the Matrix itself.

You arrive to your original time, and as the time portal closes down you see a fragment of DEM-Arkon, much of its remaining "memory" coming out from the time portal and falling before your feet. You pick "Arkon's Memory" and swear to stop Elendil at all cost.

Having returned from "The Matrix", you remember that "Mysterious Mage" and decide to pay him a visit. Since the "Cursed Grounds" is an area where Past, Present and Future collides, the "Mysterious Mage" in there will recognize you.

He now grants you access to "The Ancient Citadel", an arcane temple brought back from the past and trapped between Past, Present and Future. The "Ancient Citadel" is in fact a merging of the "Ancient Citadel" from all times, which means that the player will return to this location later on to open a rift through time and space in order to enter the "Darkness Beyond Time".

Furthermore in the game, it will be explained that the four horsemen were in fact created due to the constant time shifting and as a result from the constant destruction and creation of alternate universes. To enter the "Darkness Beyond Time", the player will require to defeat all four horsemen, because they hold the barrier to that dimension.

Once defeated, the player arrives to "The Darkness Beyond Time" and stumbles across a fearsome fortress in which Elendil summoned monsters from the Past, Present and the Future to stop you. Also you find out that "The Curse" is here, since "The Darkness Beyond Time" is located deep inside a time distortion, an area that is inexplicably linked to the heart of "The Curse". Yes, "The Curse" is a being, a monster created by Elendil, but not the true enemy.

After defeating both "The Curse" and Elendil, the demonic wizard merges with "The Curse" to create a new beast, which is the "Time Devourer". The "Time Devourer" threatens to compress and devour all time and space, meaning that the Universe would be reduced to absolute nothingness.

You stop it with the help of a mythical artifact, probably the "Ancient Weapon" and also with the power of "The Frozen Flame". After defeating the "Time Devourer", the seal placed on "The Frozen Flame" is thus dispelled, unleashing the true "Final Boss". The Final Boss then absorbs the remains of the "Time Devourer" and becomes the (has not thought of a good name). Now as one, the Final Boss assimilates the Time Controlling abilities of the "Time Devourer", and forces a crash between time, space and the alternate universes. You are then sent to the resulting "Chaos" of the merging of all dimensions, in which all times, past, present and future, have ceased to exist.

You pursue the Final Boss, and the Final Boss summons monsters from all times, even DEM-Arkon. You unwillingly destroy the corrupted DEM-Arkon, and Arkon dies leaving you with the final enchantment that unlocks the true power of the "legendary weapon". You continue to chase the Final Boss, and he summons the legendary King Marcus, which would prove to be one of the toughest because he is, in fact, wielding a "copy" of the "legendary weapon" created by the Final Boss.

You defeat King Marcus, to finally corner the Final Boss, and they face three different stages of the Final Boss. Of course, the last one will summon "The Frozen Flame" against you, so you must face both the Final Boss and "The Frozen Flame".

Now what do you think? :wacky:

Hmm, I think we are losing the story somehow jumping to an idea for the Final Boss. But the premise is good. We still need several pieces to the weapon yet. Two more of the horsemen need to be encountered. Plus the game is going to get the player to around level 200.

Another thing which needs to be discussed is the stat limits. I am beginning to think 300 is a bit too tight. We can discuss that too.

Yes, actually I only wrote about the 2nd Part of the Storyline after the pharos, and only about the beginning and the end.

We still need to settle where to locate the other pieces of the weapon, so there's still a lot to do. I decided to write that "mini" summary because I was trying to find a way to make the Matrix chapter fit in the main storyline. Now that it is done, we can now concentrate on the weapon again.

On a different topic, what was decided about creating an altar that allows any enchantment to be used? I thought that idea was suggested in order to avoid making the "past-areas" like "Temple of the Ancients" and "Tower of Mages", visible once visited.

If we do so, I suggest to have it connected to the PvP areas (Clan Centurio) with the name of "Valencia Shrine" to honor the name of our past PvP area. Of course, access should be obtainable once a certain LV has been reached.

These are the following LV requirements I had in mind:

-LV 70
-LV 75
-LV 80
-LV 85
-LV 90

As for a shrine that honors all the enchantments, that would be in the last area of the game. It will be extremely tough to enter. Even after you finish the quest to get there. It will be surrounded by hords of nasty monsters. :neomon:
