StarHawk Officially Announced For Playstation 3
The wait is over and developers, publishers and media can freely speak about Starhawk. GTTV had the honor of announcing the title on it’s show at around 1am eastern.
Starhawk retains a lot of the cartoony look from its predecessor, Warhawk. The overall look and feel of the game looks to be on a more epic scale with singleplayer experience being brought in as a focus this time around. A heavy amount of the gameplay still remains within the multiplayer which has been backed with more vehicles and action than ever.
One of the first things you will notice from the trailers is the addition of mechs or robots or exo-skeletons whatever you prefer to call them, they are big, bulky and menacing. It remains to be seen if they will be useful on the battlefield. The gameplay will include RTS elements which will aid in a tactical advantage during mutliplayer. It will be interesting to see how this mixes with the shooting gameplay of the ‘Hawk’ franchise. The shooting looks to be a mixture of Warhawk and Socom 4 (judging by the camera angle). It looks to be a great improvement but we will see when better quality video is uploaded sometime tomorrow. We will have more information as it develops, until then enjoy the screens. The videos showcased multiplayer and singleplayer gameplay. Check out Gametrailers for the videos when they post up.
Starhawk will be available exclusively on the Playstation 3, release TBA.
