Square Enix working on 5 unannounced projects [1/3]

Fresh off of the release of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan, Square Enix revealed that they are currently working on five unannounced projects in the latest Famitsu issue. The publisher said that two of those are planned for 2010.

Furthermore, Square Enix is expected to make an announcement related to Dragon Quest later this summer. Could it be related to Dragon Quest X on the Nintendo Wii?

5 new projects wow this is awsum news thanks Ari! I just see into my mind that these will be great games. Perhaps some more Xbox rpgs or even ps3? Thanks again!
 
Are they unannounced as in they don't want to tell us, or unannounced as in we know nothing about them?

I think that two of them could be Versus and Agito, but I'm not sure. Looking forward to seeing the next three, or if i'm wrong, all five :awesome: Three to five new games to hear news about sounds awesome :yay:

meh you can never really tell these days... but your prolly right. gaming mags will also word anything in whatever way they can to get more attention and sell more copies. i wouldnt be supirzed if versus, ffxiv and agito were among them. for all we know it could mean unconfirmed realese dates.

but i hope im wrong... also i heard that alot was cut out from XIII, almost enough to make another game. so a sequel to it already is a possibility.

If what they're telling is accurate, then wow. Five unannounced projects is certainly quite a lot actually. Quantity over quality as always, eh, SE? :wacky:

But do notice that it says "projects", so we can't quite rule out something that may not be a game. But it's probably more likely that they're games though. I might have an idea of what a couple of these may be:

1) The iPhone game (it could be called Ever Heart Odyssey)

2) Nomura's mysterious PSP game (the thread about that is somewhere here)

I'm not sure on the others though. I'm sure Matrix must be making something with the Gaiden game finished. Maybe a FFV remake? Who knows, but if it means we'll be more likely to get a FFVI remake, then yay!
 
Here's hoping they finally "got it" and are making Chrono 3...

Well I don't like unannouced because then it's a secret. :mokken: I'm sure they will release more information later on and their just teasing us. 5 is a lot O_O so i'm quite interested in what SE has up their sleve.
 
I just hope 5 projects won't be too much. As much as I love the Square-Enix games I've played, I hope one or more of the five won't be neglected, or rushed or whatever.

Unless there's 5 separate teams working on this O.O

I'd love for KH3, FFV and FFVI DS/PSP remake, and Last Remnant for the PS3 to be on the list, but I doubt it xD
 
What does "unannounced" mean, things we know little about or things we know nothing about other than the title? I suppose that technically if it's the latter that takes The 3rd Birthday, Versus and Agito out of the equation.

There's those 2 or 3 games Nomura is said to be working on, one of which I bet is a Kingdom Hearts title then that iPhone RPG that Olivia mentioned. I hope there's something big in there :hmmm:
