I'm not even gonna waste my time making a new thread.

"Earlier this week, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto posted a Tweet at the Square Enix Members Twitter account promising a "little surprise" for this week. That surprise was revealed today at Konami's Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker completion ceremony.

Konami has drafted Square Enix to develop Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker figures. The figures will be released under Square Enix's Play Arts line and formally known as "Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Play Arts Kai."

The first figure in the collection is "Snake Sneaking Suits Version." This will arrive in June.

This summer, the lineup will get three boss machines. Later in the year, between summer and fall, the lineup will see figures for Snake in army fatigues and the giant Cocoon boss."
Bah! You stole my news!

Very disappointed. :(

Oh come on, you cant possible blame him. "Oh and btw there will be a little surprise this week", he purposely made it sound un-amazing, if you thought "little surprise" was sarcastic then sucks for you but it's nobodies fault.

(not talking to anyone in particular btw)

No one said it was sarcastic it was merely mentioned that it could have just been SE's "humour". All being said, SE need to keep their traps closed until major gaming expos, they take announcements to an epic fail on completely new levels.

Wow what kind of Fucking fail news is that? Come on SE I was hoping for something good. So the Coccon boss wow can we actually get a figure of it? cool but its still garbage news Lmao.

successful troll is successful. I can just imagine a thousand or more FF fans unanimously screaming and pulling their hair out in rage.

would be nice to see the Metal Gear appear in an FF. that is one hax robot.

I wouldnt say it's fail news. If you are a fan of the play arts series, then I see this as a pretty cool thing

That still means the exact same thing.

They deliberately steered clear of making the news sound big, if you thought it was them being sarcastic or humorous or whatever then that's your problem.

Heck this was posted on twitter for crying out loud.

He wasn't trying to insult or mock anyone or anything, thus it can't be sarcasm. Period. People interpret things differently hence the reason several different possibilities were suggested, not everyone is close minded.

The fact that the whole Final Fantasy IX coming to PSN was announced on Twitter as well means "small" doesn't have to mean "small".

I agree with you, it can be differently interpreted. All im saying is its not the guy's fault if you miss-interpreted what he said, im not saying i don't know why people didn't think it in the first place im saying there is nobody to blame.

Do I even need to post my thoughts?

I really hoped it was an update on IX on PSN. And if it wasn't that, I had hoped that it could have been anything but the FFVII remake. I guess I should have thought outside the box by hoping they wouldn't give us news like THOSE.

I understand if we have fans of MGS, but come on. They should have announced that on Nintendo, and through Nintendo actual fans would learn about it. But maybe it's just me being P.O.'d about this whole ordeal.

I agree. Though, I did think it was something on the lines of IX or something that we as fans have been hearing about such as IX on the PSN but, it wasn't which is cool too, I guess you should never get your hopes up too high. I'm not too bothered tbh.

Well, it is a little surprise that the actual surprise itself is so crap and underwhelming. :lew:

But seriously, Peace Walker figures? MGS: Peace Walker itself isn't even to do with Square Enix itself. I'll bear this in mind the next time that SE decides to announce that there will be a "surprise".

Epic fail. :ffs:
