I could be going blind, or maybe I've done drugs, but I could have sworn data install said that it would make load times faster as opposed to load times being just as insufferable as they were before the data installation.

It's murdering the game for me, but I guess that's what SE has boiled down to; money grubbing mind murderers. These load times are such an insufferable fuck that if my life and this game fought, it would probably be like pistol whipping a horribly crippled and blind child. truly a battle of horribly crippled and fucked up things :monster:

edit: I read and post in threads between load times, if that gives you an idea of how much this game's load times suck dick

I gotta agree (sans the S-E bashing). I'm also dealing with crummy load times between scenes. I did it right away before I started the game, so I can't tell how much of a difference lacking data install would've caused, but that spinning heart in the bottom right is getting annoying now >_>

I don't know if it's entirely S-E's fault though. I remember there was some issue with Persona 3 Portable install data from Atlus and I read that it had something to do with a Sony update :/

just turn on accelerated graphics and turn the option for use of data install on

i swear, some people. i was so mad :rage:

I'm not sure how bad accelerated graphics is on the battery though... I'm sitting here hooked up to an AC Adapter. :gasp:

:hmmm: I've had no problem with the load times in this whatsoever. I installed it and turned accelerated graphics on like right away though so I wouldn't know the difference... but it really doesn't take too long to load from what I've seen... :hmmm:

The game says the 32 bit graphics puts more load time on the game, so indirectly the more loading there is, the more battery power is wasted rather than being put towards actually playing the game. So I think the battery draining rate is the same, just more waste I guess :hmmm:

i hade no problem with loading times :/

i had the psp for 5 years as well

but i do notice...... it dont use the data install much on the cutscenes anywayz

it takes about 15 - 20 seconds

One of the reviews i read said the load times would be pretty bad. but when i got the game it was that after data install i guess that's what you get with the psp.

The load times i've been having haven't been that bad, been playing with 32 bit colours and accelerated, the full install and all that jazz and it's been working fine.
I'm not sure how much of the battery it takes off but it's worth it i'd say. XD

Yeah, before looking into the configuration options the shit was damn near unbearable for me.

Oh ghod, phail, phail, phail...I SO phail :ness:

You're suppose to choose to enable install data from the config menu. You have to scroll down all the way to see the option :ffs:

Well, at least the game is running smoothly now and the only thing that I hated about the game got fixed. Good going on another awesome game KH team ♥

dont feel dumb

im the one who made myself look like jackass before realizing it :monster:

After nearly headbutting my PSP in load-time-induced anger, I did the data install, enabled it, upped all the configurations, the whole lot.

It actually made minimal difference for me (I couldn't even tell the difference in graphics), but this minimal difference made the loading times just about bearable, so meh. Great game though, so I'll slug through it anyhow.

The only difference in graphics I saw when I upped the settings (without the data install, mind) was that the textures on things was... Sharper I think the word is? :hmmm: everything being more detailed and easier to see (just check the profile image of your character's face in the corner of the screen, you should see the extra detail)

So, not being fussed over it, and liking my battery power, I switched it back :mokken:

Yeah, the data install function is usually put in games to increase loading times or to barely enhance the game in some other way. BBS didn't need the enhancing in my opinion, so I just switched it off, too.

I agree and have been complaining about it as well to my friends. I have the data installed on my memory stick as well as chose the accelerated speed option for the game, and the load times aren't any different than they were when it first started. It's taking like, what, 45+ seconds to load a scene when it shouldn't be any more than 10 seconds in my opinion. But yeah, that's just something I'll have to try and get over.

I dunno - after configuring data install in the menu, the game really did run a lot quicker for me. Maybe it's an issue with specific PSPs if even enabled data install isn't doing anything D=

I've never really felt annoyed by the loading, only really when it's in the middle of a series of cutscenes (Battle in the Keyblade Graveyard for instance) - then again, I'm very used to long load times (Mainly thanks to PoPoLoCrois and FFIX).

I've only noticed it bad for GTA and Dissidia, oh, and Sims 2. :/

It is a small system emulating graphics far beyond what the DS can currently handle. Its much like a playstation, but packed down into a smaller size. It makes sense the loading screens would be monstrous. :)
