This isn't a "Do you like the song?" thread.

I'm wondering if anyone else was annoyed by the time that they chose to play the song. It just started playing during the ending cutscene, and since people were trying to talk I found it hard to hear them for the song playing in the background.

I should have turned the subtitles on (and I usually do on games like this), but I just didn't this time as I wanted to see everything that was going on (instead of having to read text distracting me from viewing what people were doing and such).

I just found it very hard to hear what people like Sazh, Lightning etc were saying when I watched the ending. The song just got in the way there I felt.

Did anyone else feel the same?

I always have the subtitles on, so I didnt really notice, though I do remember it starting and thinking, shut up, they are still talking, but i was having issues with hearing what they were saying way back in the chapters from all the background noise and had to turn them on

To be honest, I wasn't even paying much attention to the ending anyway. I was a little worn out from those irritating lengthy battles against Orphan and I was just pleased to beat the damn game. I knew it would be a happy-ish ending anyway, so I felt that I didn't really need to focus on the dialogue that much. :lew:

I always wondered why they couldn't just put the song on during the credits though. I thought: why put it during the ending dialogue when another vocal-less tune would suffice? Although I never paid much attention to what the characters were chatting about exactly, I can see how the song would be fairly distracting. I tend to have subtitles on as well particularly in other cutscenes where the music starts to really fire up during dialogue.

Don't know whyeveryone is complaining the song is great...........

Ok,the lyrics may have nothing to do with the game "my hands" lol............but other than that I think it suited the game.

In fact,I think they should of even added it while rolling the credits!

It came in perfectly as they were meeting Serah and Dajh........

I love this song................

I know what you mean here.
As much as I like the song, I feel that it did kinda merge in the wrong way, however on my first run I had subtitles on so I could still read what was being said anyway.
I do agree though, but on the other hand I feel that it was a good time to play it. I was just suprised it was only played the once, I thought it would've been played earlier on or in different variants. (Like Eyes On me, Suteki Da Ne etc, although i'd assume there'd be some copyright hoohah about that though.)

To be quite honest I can't even remember it, I was just happy the game had ended. Chances are though, if I did remember I probably would have been annoyed anyway, it was a woeful choice for the game to begin with and would have just reminded me of Square-Enix's laziness as to creating an original piece. SE must be the only idiots who start playing music when people are talking though.

I see what you mean...........It was kinda wiered having music in especially when there talking......but if you don't have subtitles on,well that's just your fault.

However, I woulda like it if they showed flashbacks and more scenes of people and the aftermath of Cocoons destruction.

I mean you don't even know what happened to NORA........

if they added a little bit more to the ending showing Gran Pulse and people moving in I think "my hands" would of been better to go in here.

I had the subtitles on (like always) so I can actually understand what everyone says. The ending was pretty bright in my opinion, and the song had added to it. Kind of ironic thinking that I thought the song would blow, but it wasn't that bad. In fact, I love it. :D
