I wish my PC hadn't broken. 
The PC is what has CS2 on it. :/ I have been trying some simpler pieces with Elements, but they're just not the same. 
I may be able to install CS2 on my laptop tomorrow. However, it may take me a couple of days to make one so if we could have a set due date, that'd be great. 
I'd hate to make one and then find I'm too late/later than another 2 members.

Polls will go up in a few hours, the voting days will be less because of the extension, but... We'll manage.

I just wanted to gather the attention of the S/AOTW GFXers. This week's voting is a bit shorter than usual due to the extension I had to give the current's voting. Apologies for that, but hopefully next week (this sunday!) we can get back on track with our entries.

As some of you may know, Jay is back and he will be taking back SOTW/AOTW, although we might take turns. =] More information about that will follow. Please keep up the wonderful activity, guys!

I have a suggestion. 
I notice some have a habit of uploading entries to pb accounts & it makes it easy to tell who created which graphic.
This weeks aotw, this is one of the entries:

This makes it very easy to tell who made it.
Is it possible rules could be amended to ensure entries are uploaded to neutral hosts to limit the degree to which anonymity factor is marginalized?
Looking at sotw, its easy to tell who made 2/3 entries by where images where uploaded.

Usually people don't care all that much to right click and view the source. We're hoping people go by what they see and not who made it. I mean, the anonymous factor doesn't really matter because everyone knows each other's styles and it's not that big a deal.

Anyway, who cares who made it. the Stella icon is obviously better since it's received positively by the majority. I doubt all 4 of the voters right clicked the image and looked to see who made it. We go off of the purddieness!

It may not matter, but the important thing is to give people the impression that you do everything in your power to make it anonymous & ensure that it is a fair contest.
This isn't the first time I've brought this up, btw. I mentioned to Lirael that the fonts in the FF6 writing contest were distinctive and that a person may be able to tell who wrote each entry by which font they were written in.
The reason I "singled out" the aotw is because a) no one cares about aotw b) there were only two entries c) I think one entry is guaranteed to win(as it must be obviously superior, yes?) which makes discussing who created which entry somewhat pointless.
As for the notion that its easy to tell who made what -- that is irrelevent. Its not about how difficult or easy it is to tell whose entry it is.
The important thing is that its structured so that people have the impression that judges are impartial and that clan leaders and those who run these contests do everything in their power to ensure everything is fair and unbiased.

Although this has been a known fact for a long time, we do also have to give the members some credit here. We can't possibly re-upload everything to a site where it changes the link to something you can't trace back.
Aside from that it's why we encourage posting in order to vote. Votes like 'Because it's awesome, and this and shit maker made it' are definitely not going to count, (not for the Clans at least). I definitely do see where you're coming from though, Riddick.
I don't think people vote being bias anymore, and if they do that's really sad actually. It's definitely encouraged to vote for the best graphic piece.
Edit: Reading your second post @Richard B Riddick, I do feel like you bring a valid point. But it's been like this for so long and it feels rather... 'over the top' to go there. If you get what I'm saying. We might discuss this in the near future, though. However, Jay is back, and he will be back in charge of SOTW most likely so... I'm not quite sure how things are going to be ran as of yet. =]

Like Cali and Toni said though, it's quite easy to tell who made what just by looking at their style, even though sometimes you can't I'm also pretty sure most people vote for what is graphically best, or what they prefer out of a few entries.

Like I said, its not about whether or not people are biased in favor of their friends.
Its about whether things are run with every effort made to ensure fairness.
There are times when I look at sotw and clan challenge voting and think voting is screwed up and people are just voting for their friends and those who are in the same clan as them. But, who can really say what people are thinking or guess at their motivation for things? You couldn't speak for others anymore than I.
If people wonder why participation and such may be an issue of late. I wouldn't be surprised if others had a similar opinion and that it were the cause for lack of activity.
If you really want people to participate and be active, I think they deserve every effort to be made at fairness.

Going by your logic, riddick. There will never be a fair structure to this because I myself can name every gfx artist that enters solely by their style.
as can many others, therefor making it unfair and biased. See, there's always a loophole. This is really bitching about nothing, tbqh.
If so I would have won all the clan challenges because I obviously have the most friends and is loved the most on efefef.
