Some FFF rep system questions

Grey is neither positive or negative, it just means that the repper had no rep power.
Which banned members repped you?
 
Woo this thread got long.
So thats what the grey boxes mean, i was wondering why some were orange and others were grey. Grey ones dont count im guessing?
 
It just means the rep power is zero or summat, so it's not bad, you just dont get points for it D:

Rep power is the number of points you give someone when you rep them correct? And the wee orange thing indicates how much rep you have got.

If your something like 5 rep power does that mean your rep points give 5 points/or -5 points?
Do any mods know all the rep levels and how much rep you need to get there? As in rep levels I mean like the aura about thing and diamond in the rough.

Rep power increases through a) Post count b)The more rep you get c) How long you've been at FFF.

Mits/Bei do as they can access them through the ACP and change the names of the rep levels (I think), increase/descrease how much rep you need for them and set their own rep levels...I thiiiink.

If so, then is there anyway which you can get rid of the "you must spread reputation around" thing?
It used to be higher didn't it? So could it be lowered to you needing to rep 5 people before you can rep someone again.

And on another note, is it possible to see who you have repped?
 
Yeah, how many do you need to rep when it says you need to spread around?

I haven't repped anyone for 3 fucking days and it still says I've given out too much rep in the last 24 hours. I think it counts when you just attempt to give someone rep.

For instance, I went to rep Riku on a great post earlier but it said I had to spread it around before I gave him more... so I figured I'd come back to later. The same happened to Busta and Mercurial (even though the little cunt just neg repped me) later on today... but when I finally found a good post of newer member (whom I've never repped before) it said I'd repped too much in the last 24 hours.

You should be able to rep like 10 people a day. For some reason, I can't rep anyone. Any thoughts? It certainly can't be that my rep isn't high enough...

I have it figured out that every 25 points you get of Rep, you go up 1 Rep Power.

Let's say that Quina_21 has a Rep Power of 2 and overall 21 rep points. When someone with a Rep Power of 4 reps Quina_21, she will then have 25 points total for rep and now be knocked up to a Rep Power of 3.

Then when Quina_21 hits 50 total rep points, he/she will get bumped up to a Rep Power 4.
 
That says nothing though for amount of reps allowed per 24 hours? Or why I can't seem to regenerate mine (unless I'm accidentally wasting them by trying to rep those I can't)
 
I've only been repping at most 2 people per day for the last couple days. It still says I have to wait another 24 hours as well.

I can't figure out though if you're only allowed 10 per day? 10 "tries" per day? How many people you have to rep before going back to the same person again? Not sure bout any of those... :dry:

That can't be right...that'd mean that those with a rep power of 10 would have to have 250 rep points. I have a power of 14 and I only have 100 or so points, meaning I should technically only have a power of 4...but I'm sure I started at 5. xD

So that method doesn't take into account post-count, length of registration or usergroups.

Let's say you get one rep power for every 1000 posts, that'd mean I have 6, on top of my 4 for being repped with 100 points...the last four might be accounted for by my usergroup. That's the only way I can see it working by your method.

25 points = 1 power
1000 posts = 1 power
Usergroup = ???
 
No, no, no. You started with a higher rep than I did though. I'm pretty sure the starting rep for everyone is based on their post numbers (regular members - Gmods) and then the Admins and Jr. Admins have a set number at 10.

Busta - started at 4 Rep Power with 2,500 posts.
Riku - Started at 8 Rep power with 4,300 posts. (guessing)

So we all started with 10 Rep points automatically when the system was implanted, so we all got 10 free points.
 
I have to think that usergroup and post count both play some part in it. I'm positive usergroup does. I only suspect post count does.

Even so, it's hard to get a baseline since everyone has a different rep history (especially now that it's being whored). I know when I was a regular member I had a rep power of 4. I now have 150+ rep points, so that's roughly 6 extra rep points added on to my starting power. That equal a rep power of 10, which is where I'm at. So maybe the only other factor is usergroup...

150 total rep points divided by 6 (number of Power's he's gone up)? 25.

Aztec started at 4.

25 rep points = 5
50 rep points = 6
75 rep points = 7
100 rep points = 8
125 rep points = 9
150 rep points = 10 (his current count approximately)
