I've been thinking, if you were thrown into a world identical to Ivalice in FFXII, and Vaan and the gang asked you to join up with them, would you? also what would your personality be like? And your main weapon? (E.g. Bow, Sword)

Here's mine:

I would try and sound wise and mysterious (Not that it would do much xD)
Use a 2 Handed Sword, and yes, I would go with Vaan and gang.
 
The answer: I would join the judges instead :D

I would be the quiet one, mysterious and experienced fighter. My main weapon would be a set of twin, 3 feet long, short swords or a zweihender type sword, in other words a huge sword.
 
I would go solo myself as a sky pirate living free with my own airship I wouldn't get involved with politics.

Weapon wise got to go with either a katana and magic or a gun and magic.

Might occasionally team up with Balthier and Fran for big job though.
 
I would get some money first. Then I would probably hunt Marks for prizes, join Clan Centurio. My main weapons would be 2 swords, with a bit of magic here and there.
 
I would tell him that my place was within the Wood, with my sister Viera, and send him away. No weapons.. just nature. <3

So you're an experienced swordfighter? He said if you were thrown into Ivalice...

Anyway, I would probably just pick up your average sword, maybe join a small-time clan and just take it easy. Probably become one of those generic people on the street that repeat the same phrase over and over haha
 
I'd be a Rikku type character, but as a powerful mage that can summon the most powerful summons ever!

oh and i'd be one of those evil characters that won't be killed by 4 snotty hero's ^_~
 
If I, as a normal human, were suddenly thrown into Ivalice? Well, to avoid being slaughtered, impaled, disfigured, torn up, eaten, tentacle raped, burnt, frozen, zapped, assimilated, crushed, stabbed, chopped in half, or otherwise executed, I would probably have to turn him down, then spend the next couple years practicing swordsmanship and Black Magic. Basically, I'd train myself to become sort of a Dark Knight. As much as I'd love to take part in an epic quest to protect existence from utter destruction, the fact that I have hardly any training in combat would probably slow me down just a bit, and would more than likely leave me...well...dead. Yeah, I really don't see why anyone would want someone who can't use ANY weapon to join their group, but...

If I were transported to Ivalice and magically given the neccessary skills to defend myself (i.e. master swordsman, proficient in Black Magic)? Then yeah, why the hell not? It might be fun. Besides, if nothing else, it would give me a few stories to tell at parties.
 
I'd probably be like I am now - cold and distant. Sort of a Lulu of the party, but without the boobs and excessive knowledge of every location I go to. :rolleyes:

As for weaponry, my preferences constantly change. I'd not be a mage of sorts (though I'd try adopting some form of Green Magick, or Arcane), so items such as staffs can be ruled out.

I quite like extravagantly designed lances/glaives/spears, so I'd most likely end up using one of those. Alternatively I'd have two pretty shortswords and a fore-arm shield for backup. Shields are gurd. :wacky:




Joining them though? Probably not, though I'd be inclined to for the sake of journeying.
 
I would probably be quite distant yet fun to be with. I would probably be a red mage with a little bit of green magick. Joining them however, probably not, maybe I would join a sky pirate and hunt treasure.
 
I would probably be quiet, distant type, but will speak up when I have something to add.

I would have two crescent blades that can be joined at the handle to form a two-handed weapon.

And yes, I would join Vaan and the gang, mostly to try and hook up with Ashe and become king. :D
 
I can't imagine myself being a major part of any group; I'm not a fan of working together, although I will if I have to. I'd probably bust out some outrageously extravagant Katana and maybe some Time/Black magic.

Hell no I wouldn't. After playing XII I figured out it's the Empire with the right motives and more interesting people, so screw hanging out with people with no personalities and a bitch princess who isn't even polite to people helping her out.

I think I'd probably just join a clan or something, that way I could stay neutral and get everyone to like me after I took on elites. Personality...uh, it would stay the same as mine right now O_O I don't see why it'd change, except I might get more excited since I'd be in such a gorgeous world. Main weapon would definitely be a sword (probably a katana), but I'd be sure to stock up on magicks.
 
I'd prolly join them, it sure as hell beats working >.>

My weapon of choice would be a sword seeing as Im not really one for using magic...
 
I wouldn't join the party as they'd be boring to talk with in between boss battles and esper fights :P

If I was there, I'd probably start off by making sunstones to earn some money and head over to Rabanastre to get a spear. I loved the look of the Dragon Whisker so that would be my ideal weapon. Probably get a bracer as well for some defense.

Then I'd hang out with Bangaa to see what they're like and try one of their eye visor dealys before arranging a hunting party to go find rare game. I'd also train myself in healing magic so I could be a fighter and healer.

Yeah I've about this :wacky:
